I've told you once & I will tell you again. You have a water-cooled engine. With a little bit of eng-unity, you can put a heater in the cabin & don't forget to get a fan you can mount to blow air on the windshield to clear off the frost. Why freeze your nuts off. Have you explored the option of extending your visa for a nominal fee with the Bureau of Immigration? You won't be the first to apply for a visa extension. Keep on motoring. Just sayin

That scene up in the snow with Patti is core memory material. I can't even imagine how great the weather feels up there.
It’s not an option to pay the vet (or any vet) to board her for the time that you’re gone? I’d feel safest if my (blind) rescue dog was in a kennel/cage, apart from other dogs/people. No different than a long distance flight in terms of being cooped up. Cooped up and *safe*. Best of luck with it all. ❤

I just finished watching. And I really hope you get to read this before crossing. I worry that since Argentina refused to extend your visa that once you cross they won’t let you cross back into Argentina right away. I don’t know the rules for Argentina. But for staying in Argentina “illegally” then crossing with patti later would that be better than crossing to Chile and leaving her? I know you have thought about all this long and hard but I just fear you’re going to be away from patti for longer than half a day. I hope everything works out of course. What an adventure!!!
