Thank you for this. Our Hetty suddenly stopped working, we realised it was the pcb then found our pcb is obsolete, so you just saved us getting a new vacuum for now.
This is brilliant. Kinda wish you’d had a tripod, but you made it seem so simple. My PCB is fine, but I use the Henry for dust extraction and would like it to go straight to High every time. Definitely gonna try this. Thanks!
Omg! Thank you so so much my Henry has been through a heck of alot ! We got gifted him as a house warming gift from our landlord I was chuffed as heck as hes an expensive hoover ! But 2 years in he kept switching off and over heating in the end he wouldn't turn on at all ! Yestetday I change his fuse after getting him back out of the cupboard as my cheaper hoover packed in! And I used 4 fuses 13a and every single time I plugged him in he would blow the fuse and switch off all electrics by the mains ! I watched your video and today I've tried this and i didnt have hope wont lie im a woman I would rather have dumped him in the trash but this made me change my mind ! I watched your how to clean henry video before this one and he got an whole over haul I cleaned his filter and dusted him off scraped paint that got onto him off and wiped him down! After that I did all this and like I said had low hope it would work my partner said no way and "good luck you will probably be electrocuted " lol im a person to do something no matter what even if just once so I tried it plugged it in and omg he works ! Thank you so so so so so much your tutorial was the easiest one too and shown everything in detail other videos dont explain clearly and skip parts so makes it hard to determine what goes where ! Great video new subscriber incase of future problems 😀 also while I'm on the subject what can I use for the filter bag and to keep it smelling fresh I use shake and vac on carpets and usually hand wash the filter with washing up liquid like you said but it always seems to still smell dusty / merky .
I just stripped my 2008 HVR200A as the unit was very slow, I thought it was the motor, but can't smell any burning. Loads of carbon on the PCB so I will try the bypass tomorrow to see if it lives. Great video thanks
Have the same Henry. Have replaced the pcb to get it running again but now only runs at one speed. The new type red pcb board. Should I change the red speed change switch..?
Controls the wattage of the motor as you turn it on it’ll be on a low wattage and if you press the red hi switch it’ll use the full wattage of the motor
@@numaticrule2921 I think the type in this video is like the uds motors, the ones that are on springs just looked them up online and I saw a spring in the brush holder
It must of been the carbons on your mates one it could of popped out mid use its easy to replace and fit a new motor or carbons these are designed to be fixed

I have a Hetty HET200-A that used to be a auto save but when I got it the pcb was changed into a regular high lo conversion

What would happen if I put a hi lo switch and fitted a pcb to a current Henry like the 620 watt ones would it trip the rcd
Nah it would still work. Ive put dyson ydk motors in henrys before with 2 speed and they still work

I wonder if it's possible to create s circuit to remove the PCB and have a rocker switch
You can buy a hvr200-22 pcb and a hi lo rocker switch online for not much

4:33 did numatic change the carbon brushes because they look different to the other ones used on twinflo’s are they replaceable when they wear out?

My friend did this but the motor burned it self. Maybe it is not too wise to bypass it..
I wont burn the motor out.
