Just found this channel it inspires me to want to do more on mine . Love everything about it. Your passion for nature and the bees and giving back to the land . The little Patterdale, I have one they’re busy little dogs but funny and loving . It’s interesting seeing you clear up the land and what you’re doing It’s giving me ideas. That little burner you made. If you ever do a video on it, I’ll be interested anything like this is interesting Also, I love the music could you please tell me what it is I’m gonna save it relaxing . You guys are a great team we need more of this . I have also just started to watch the Aiden project barn build also interesting 👍🏻
Thank you belucky so glad you enjoyed the video and don't forget we have around 140 more to watch if your interested buddy the music come from payed sites specifically set up for youtubers hope this helps 😀
Love this video. Lots of information about your work. Tracey here in Oz, picking up gal iron like that would probably reveal snakes. Cheers from Oz. xxxx
I watch another channel that is in Alabama in the US - Cog Hill Farm. They have an enclosed waggon that they pull around their land surrounded by Electric Fence and they have a Guard Goose that they put in with the chickens when it was young. It protects the chickens from hawks.
Loved the drone shots. The farmhouse looks so good! Your passion for the bees is awesome. The tractor is so handsome and it's so good to see you guys getting stuck in and back to health. Looking forward to seeing your homestead grow and evolve.❤🍻
Thank you Mr Bloke so glad you enjoyed and yes we are back to normal health. We look forward to sharing it with you both all the progress 😀bon weekend to you both xx
Glad you're not putting in chicken mesh to 'protect' the poultry as it simply isn't strong enough against predator teeth and claws. And definitely do the overhead mesh. We used to get hawks here but they moved on and now we've got feral cats and falcons, groan. They go bonkers trying to get at our coops of racing pigeons in outside pens of what we call hardware cloth. The bit of shade in your chosen area will be good for the poultry. Can't wait for you to get the kitchen roof tiles done so we can see inside progress.
We will make sure we use the correct measures for the Chickens and we have quite a few predators here as well and yes we thought this as well as there isn't a lot of shared areas on our land and we will be able to see the Chickens from the hall window . Us to xx

I just love watching you guys work. My husband has MS so we had to give up our homestead because I could not handle all the work by myself, so watching you makes me homesick for my farm. But you do such a wonderful job and work so well together makes me wish I was there helping you work. I love the bees, I want so desperately to have bees but we live in the city now. I am going to research how to have a hive in the city and just listening to Budo talk about all the hives he wants makes me want to get serious about it this spring. You encourage me so much because I am your age and I think you guys do so much I can do it too. I am not too old, I can learn new stuff, I can have bees in the city, I can plant flowers and pollinators in the city I can do some of the things you do even though I don't live in the country anymore, there are things I can do in the city on a smaller scale. I don't have to give up everything I used to do. You are such an encouragement to me. I have even taken up crochet because of Tracy. I am so encouraged by you two! Thank you so much I just love watching you guys. Keep up all the hard work and stay as physically young as you can!
So sorry to hear this Cathy and we can understand why you would miss your homestead .It would be lovely for you if you could come to France Cathy 🥰you can have bees and some of the best honey comes from bee keepers having bee hives in cities as there s such a diversity of flowers for the bees to pollenate. It was so lovely hearing you talk about your bees, Budo. I loved your recounting, and showing, how they escort their dead community members out of the hive. Something about the way you spoke of them made me feel like a little girl again - and I'm over 70. I can't really explain why, other than it was so wholesome.
Hi Tina wow that was so good for us to know we helped you get In touch with your child hood memories and you felt that way life is about recalling your good memories and taking you back in the moment and reminding us all we are alive not just existing xx 😘🥰🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

The land I inherited from my mother and she from her father had a couple of blueberry fields on them, small ones, but enough for us to harvest and have a mess every summer. One year she got an idea to put a beehive in one of the fields, but we have bears in the woods surrounding the fields, so she decided to put an electric fence around it, using a car battery for power. Let me just say the bears did not care about the electric fence at all and the beehive was a casualty. As a result, I have always had a fondness for honeybees so your hive has just convinced me to subscribe, lol. I will be following for glimpses of their activities. 😊

Hi both. This is my first comment on your wonderful channel. I happened to be watching Mr Bloke channel when you both visited and after taking a quick look at French Farmhouse Diaries I went back to video #1 and have spent the past 3 weeks binge watching every episode. Am now going to binge watch every episode of no dig gardening. Your enthusiasm and passion is unbelievable. I quite often chuckle at the end when Budo says “That’s it folks”and then remembers another little snippet he has to pass on. What a craftsman you are. Your excitement around anything to do with wood is only matched by the enthusiasm my dog shows around a scoop of ice cream👏👏👏👏
Wow thank you Joyce so glad you are enjoying them and for your lovely comment and hay im with your dog im any ones for a scoop of ice cream all the best Budo & Tracy 😘🥰xx
Me, too, Joyce. Discovered them after seeing them visit Mr Bloke. I've been binging on Budo and Tracy for days. Love seeing their skills, creativity and grit. Inspirational.
First time I’ve seen your vlog and place!! Love your place!! I grew up in Alsace Lorraine district North east France and I ache for the life style and weather! I heard about you from We bought a dump in France
Came to you from Mr Bloke, tried to watch your first episode but your photography was so bad i couldn't watch so have picked up here. Will gradually work back through the episode. New subscriber and looking forward to catching up.
Welcome aboard! We are glad you have joined us. It was our first ever you tube video (sorry) but you will see we have improved immensely so we hope you enjoy 😉
Love your idea about the Beehives. My father had a number of them on a piece of property outside of the city. When he went back home to europe he found very old front panels of beehives that were painted in a traditional folklore style - each one of them showed a story. Fascinating. Its so lovely how you are bringing your property back to a thriving homestead.
Thank you Hilda the painted fronts on the hives I think comes from Russia 🇷🇺 😉 but don't quote me on that and is lovely to see its something I would like to do as well 😊
Beautiful vlog. You two are an inspiration! So nice to see the bees👍 I’m so glad the weather has given you a break, here’s hoping the new roof is on its way!

Thank you Tim yes not a lot of people know that it's not for the faint hearted and we will
Always enjoy your vlogs. I’ve been here from the beginning, keep up the great work and videos
Awesome! Thank you! Ray 😊 for your support on you tube and on Patreon xx
First time I’ve seen your vlog and place!! Love your place!! I grew up in Alsace Lorraine district North east France and I ache for the life style and weather! I heard about you from We bought a dump in France
Awesome! Thank you! So glad you found us and we hope you enjoy our journey ❤ xx
So nice to see the bees👍
I’m so glad the weather has given you a break, here’s hoping the new roof is on its way!
Thanks so much! 😊 Melina should be on the roof some time this week 🥰😘
