Hello friends! Just recently discovered you guys and absolutely loving all of your videos. I'm retired from American Airlines, so travel is in my blood. During the past five years, I have worked a both the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone Natl Parks, along with touring most of the western states/Rockies. So, your videos have been really enjoyable. Great camera work, great personalities, and great pets! Kudos! Thanks for all of your hard work and Merry Christmas!!! Cheers!
Hi Larry, so glad you found us, and thank you SO MUCH for all the compliments! We've had such a great time launching the channel in 2020, cheers to more adventures in 2021! Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and yours. ❤ -Howard & Katelyn
Happy Holidays to you, Kisha! Pretty fun exploring your own city, right? We're heading back again soon, what's tops on your list? Thanks so much for watching, hope you'll continue on the journey with us! 👍 -Howard
Aidan, thanks for watching and so glad you got to see the lights at the park! Out of curiosity, how far in advance did you make camping reservations? We've heard it can be hard to book during the holidays! -Howard
HI - thanks so much for your ideas! We all thoroughly enjoyed the James Island Festival of Lights. It was one thing to drive around the many fun light light fixtures - being able to walk around them was unbelievable! We also liked the Cougar Lights at the College of Charleston. Thanks for your recommendations!
Charleston is the best city in any season. You should really catch Spoleto in late May/early June - a little bit of Europe in the Lowcountry. Remember the chill when you return in July or August where the heat and humidity will make you feel like a roasted oyster! You'll trade those hot chocolates for ice cold lemonade! I went to Charleston several years right after Christmas for 10 days, and never experienced cold. Days were 60-80, and nights in the 40s, and rarely any rain. Sure beats the North! Nice videos (saw HHI and this one so far)! Saw Savannah video, too, just after posting this comment, and will catch the longer Jekyll Island one later.
Aww the market! We were there when my friend was rescuing our last Lab, Lexie for us. We bought her first collar there. We loved walking along those incredible houses and peering in to their gardens - can’t imagine it during Christmas!! Awesome lights - loved Santa with the RV - looked a bit like our Rpod.
🎶"Deck the halls with boughs of holly!" 🎶 🎄❤️💚❤️How beautiful those homes were decorated.📿💡🏮🕯🪔🚙The drie through light park, same! Hours and hours of planning and designing. Incredible. The cookie monster in you really had a bal in that bakery I gather Katelyn 😂! What touched me though, were those special trees. We recently lost a family member (66) to cancer, with two very close friends battling a battle they won't win. It has dimmed my Christmas cheer somewhat knowing of their struggle and watching the video has also reminded me, that every day is a gift and I need to cherish and enjoy it to the best of my ability. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄❤️💜💚🕯🤶🙏🙋♀️
Oh goodness, so sorry to hear about both your family member and your two friends. Cancer is such a horrible thing. 💔 But you're right, we must cherish every day and live life to the fullest while we're here. Which also means eating all the cookies when you want 😉😋 Merry Christmas!! ♥️ -Katelyn
If you stay at the James Island campground, you can walk or drive around the displays at no extra cost. Wonderful dog pond as well. In other years, you can take a train around the displays too (nominal fee for that) Thanks for sharing - brought back happy memories.
Thanks so much for the tips, Katja! We heard the campground books up way far in advance because of what you mentioned. Sounds like a really fun time to stay there during the event! ❤
This was a great video. Beautiful. Lights were very beautiful. A lot if cars were there at the Festival of Lights. The there looked good. The burger and what Howard had looked really good and so did the cookies you bought. You liked like you both had fun. Love the Christmas trees for the cancer people who died or who have it. Thank you fir this video and hope you had a merry Christmas. See you soon and Have a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Sherri! We loved visiting Charleston, hope to return again soon. The trees were powerful, and reading the stories of those still fighting is encouraging. ❤️ -Howard

Howard & Katelyn, once again, another awesome video. The lights, the decorations, and most of all the Christmas trees decorated for those battling cancer. I was crying too.
