- I arranged this tune for Hollycombe's 87-key Galloper organ to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice in 1918. As you may have guessed the organ isn't in the centre of the ride but having a well-earned rest in the Green shed. As a result, the stable indoor environment has done wonders for its well being so I took the opportunity of recording something to show off its Military Band specification. Comments Please...
Nice arrangement! Never heard this tune before. Have to look up the lyrics if I can find them. Keep up the nice work.
those horns sound a little out of tune and discordant at times. otherwise good piece
Yes I know they do, but as I said in the blurb, This is a working organ and they all can't sound perfect in every way. These instruments are very hard to maintain and don't stay in tune for very long. One is always tinkering with them.
@@Mekanixmuzak oh my apologies, I interpreted that to mean that the organ was operating, not that it was having maintenance and repairs. Like how one would say a working elevator to describe one that is operating as expected. I understand the delicacy of the instruments. Keep up the good work.
