I hope one day they'll add a way to update emulators individually. A lot of the emulators in this update are already really outdated.
Does NOT matter...what Matters is if they work... If it aint broke....dont fix it. Updates are not always a good idea
@@eijentwun5509 Well if the emulator DOESN'T work it would be helpful to get an update as soon as you could rather than when the next Batocera version comes out. Obviously if everything is working an update isn't needed. I'm not sure why you would even say that.

I was poking around the Batocera ES code last night & see references to a "Batocera Store" - does anyone know if this was the intention to have apps update individually at one time? I think there would have to be a big move towards containerization for this to really take off. Thankfully work has been done to integrate CasaOS and while it is still separate layer, it is a step forward towards a middle layer once our machines can handle it without performance hits not being on metal. just my opinion.

Working since v35.
It looks awsome on my old laptop but still have a long way to go before I can play to my hearts content, R.I.P Bob Smith. I have a Mame file of about 6 000 games but always had difficulty playing them, this might just be it. Not the best with software stuff🙈🙉🙊

I hope that the Orange Pi 5 release will have been fixed. The last 3 Betas have failed to boot. But outside of that, always excellent and innovative. The automated steering wheel option will be very welcome indeed.
I'm on a Orange Pi 5B and so far it's working good. Wifi works now. Pity that there is no Vulkan for video; we'll have to wait for that.

I have a question , . Where do the CHD files for MAME go in batocera? Either they are not needed or what's up with the CHDs in batocera. 😮😅
Any mame game that uses a CHD should be in its own folder, for the chd file.
So for eg for killer instinct, put the zip in the mame rom folder like any other, then put the killer instinct chd file in its own folder and make sure the folder name is the same name as the zip it uses.
Then put the folder in the mame rom folder as well.
Any other game that uses a chd do the same for each game.
Namco 246 system uses this method as well.

I am now a father with kids of my own now, and thanks to you, the fine ppl from the retro gaming community, I am able to share some of the most beautiful childhood memories with the next generation in an easy to use and compact way, which ironically motivates kids at a young age to consider following the same path forward as they grow up (playing games from all major console makers).

To get it working again, you have to update the emulator, via the batocera terminal.

To get it working again, you have to update the emulator, via the batocera terminal.

Can someone report this glitch? analog left stick config for xbox 360 controller, When configure, shows left analog up, left analog left, left analog up, left analog left, NOT UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT So yes, it repeats and obviously can control games properly. I did fresh install.. maybe upgrade works and saves configs from previous so no one noticed yet? Like this vs corelec since Kodi is right in there too.!! Great work, but I have have to downgrade to use it.

yes - you need to know how to navigate the RetroArch backend but it's well integrated.

can only imagine you'll hit a lot of performance hits (if it runs at all which I doubt it) - closest I've seen so far is emuJS running in a container in CasaOS. I've been meaning to give a clean config that supports the Batocera directory structure but the experience is sub-par & still has a ways to go (but it is all server side!)

Can we bring back capcom 1,2,3 systems menu like you did with sega models when you switched the fix using mame emulator in previous batocera update for sega model 2, know they're already included in the mame collections, but I like having them as their own system category in the menu list of systems
