.I was hoping for more curves and circles and jigsaw work and then comparing the quality of the cuts and how square they were . Not sure why you only did speed cutting. I don't think I've ever wished for a faster cross cutting jigsaw but maybe that's just me. Either way definitely a unique video.
Thanks for the feedback! You're right I should have included circle cutting. I was trying to illustrate how the mafell has plenty of power for cutting thicker wood when compared to a regular jigsaw. But that is just what I bought my mafell jigsaw for.
Systainer is a Tanos product, Festool just uses its T-loc version. It is not a festool invention. Just like Makita cases with clips are also a Tanos product.
What a terrible review! It is worth every penny compared to the makita , didn’t go in to the track compatibility or the cutting round a penny with there patented blade. This is by far the best jigsaw you could buy and I mean by a country. Apart mile apart 😬 from the terrible cord. It wraps its self up like mad I tried to convert it to the festool lead but couldn’t get one. I now have the next best thing the new 12v Milwaukee best jigsaw after this and half the weight.
Yeah, I completely agree about the light. In my experience the Mafell is amazing at making accurate and square cuts. I have never used a jigsaw that was better than the Mafell in those regards.

been waiting for this one

I believe that Festool and Tanos are sister companies.
Correct. All under ToolTechnic AG along with SawStop, CleanTec(dust extractors), Narex, and more.
Festool own the Tanos Company

From $75 to $700 is an insane jump
I agree
Thanks for mentioning the switch being optimal for right handed folks. SUPER annoying for my fellow lefties.
You bet!
Goddamn son, you paid $700 for a jiggy saw. That ludicrous.
I tend to agree. It's a very nice tool but the price is insane!
How is the accuracy? What I don't like about the Mafell is the missing battery and light
Yeah, I completely agree about the light. In my experience the Mafell is amazing at making accurate and square cuts. I have never used a jigsaw that was better than the Mafell in those regards.
Makita is not known for their jigsaws. try Bosch (corded) or Dewalt (cordless)
I really enjoy using Bosch jigsaws they are very nice tools to use.
Mafell has no service dept and therefore no warranty
That is true. It can be very difficult to get Mafell tools serviced. That being said I have never had an issue with any of my Mafell tools.
@@contractorscompass Does Timberwolf Tools (Mafell dealer in the US) service these tools? Or do they have to be mailed to Germany?
@@srcultureshock Yes , Timberwolf Tools does sell and service Mafell products
