My question is for the great Wasim Akram and the great Waqar Younis...
Please correct me if I am wrong... Swing is movement in the air and seam is movement of the pitch... Which means the lighter weight ball shouId swing more in the air... Going by this logic, why is it not possible to swing with the tennis ball which is lighter than the stritch ball??? If yes, please explain on how to do it???
Does it have anything to do with being a right arm/left arm bowler... Thank you sir... Respect from India 🙏🙏🙏

Waqar Younis about a questioner from Delhi, "He will understand Hindi, and he will understand Punjabi also since he is from Delhi". While it was reasonable to expect the Delhi person to 'understand' Punjabi, it should have rather been the most obvious thing that someone from Delhi will not just understand but 'live' Hindi. Hindi and Urdu originated in Delhi. The standard accents for Hindi and Urdu are considered to be the Delhi accents because these sister languages originated here. Punjabi is not native to Delhi, so of course you can just expect a Delhi resident to understand Punjabi, but not Hindi.

    Greetings everyone! Love the show.
My question is for all the panelists. What is your opinion on the fact that majority of the times, if not all the time Pakistan cricket teams captain always happens to be the best player in terms of talent despite maybe not possessing the best of leadership skills and game intelligence. Do you guys believe we should be more open to appointing a captain who might not be a great player in terms of talent but possesses the leadership quality and game intelligence especially given that the role of a captain in cricket is more critical than any other sport?
    Thank you.

No ways is Pakistan out from World Cup , if India loses its next 2 matches Pakistan is into semis. If India loses 1 & 1 match is abandoned due to rain Pakistan still in to semis. Losing to SA with foolish cricket is a big mistake for Indian team. Pakistanis don't lose hope for your team. Provided Pak wins its next 2 matchea

Love the show and analysis of the legends are awesome. I think the PCB pannel must be listening and should consider these views very seriously like Babar azam is still wanting to have the opening spot. We should be flexible for the team. We have been out from WC due to bad tactics at least we should have positive attend and also we should be prepared enough for a wc in AUS. You can't be good at that condition in or 2 days.

Same goes for zimb vs SA as well.

#AskThePavilion , there was a time when the Pakistani team would struggle with openers after Saeed Anwar and Amair Sohail for a very long time but we always had greats in the middle order such as Inzi, Yousuf, Younis. However, after Misbah, Hafeez and Shoaib, we haven't found any consistent middle-order batters in the last 5-8 years. Do you agree? if yes, please point out the cause in your opinion - Regards Usman.

Hello Sirs. My question is for the great Wasim Akram sir and stylish Shoaib Malik ji, can you touch upon the difference in pre and post social media era during your cricketing years. How does that impact the overall performance of the player?

Question to my idol Wasim Sir: What is the situation of Pakistan cricket team after loss of final of WC 1999? Very convincingly Pak was the greatest team at that year. How as a captain you dealt the situation? I remembered I cried a lot, for a week.

Pakistan has always been blessed with heavenly gifted Pacers with all sorts of repitua: sheer pace, swing, reverse swing- you name it! They are also blessed with spinners like saqlain, ajmal, qadir.. Top it off with great all rounders like Imran Khan, Shaheed Afridi, Abdul Razzaq.. May be not like bowling- but some great batsmen also graced Pakistan green shirt.
My question to panel is what would be an ideal all time Pakistan 12-man test team with which Pakistan could win wherever against any opposition. Please let us be nostalgic once again!! 😪

Questions for all panelist, don’t you think that it’s unfair to our team after loss to Zimbabwe we have all come guns blazing towards them? At the end of the day it’s sports win some lose some, after all Zimbabwe has beaten Australia in their inaugural T20 cup, and recently England has lost to Ireland

    • @iamabhinav173
      @iamabhinav173 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Alishan. As an Indian who follows cricket very closely all around the world including Pakistani cricket and their media, I can tell you why that is the case. You’re absolutely right that it’s a sport and winning or losing is a part of the game but for Pakistan as a nation, cricket is the only major sport which majority of the people follow keenly. For them, cricket is beyond wining or losing. People in England wouldn’t even bother a lot having lost to Ireland as it’s a sporting nation in general. It will take a long time for Pakistan as a nation to accept that. Indian media and fans also come hard at their team, imagine the population of india but over the past decade, I have seen a change and feel that indian system has improved a lot. Also, although cricket remains our no1 sport; we’re also growing in other sports. It’s got to do with the mentality of the people in the nation. Give it 15-20 years. Until then; don’t expect any different reaction ( Extreme both in massive wins - 152/0 or loss Like against Zimbabwe )

Their approach has been under question for long time fans were openly saying that but legends were holding back we lost Asia cup with the same approach we didn’t even deserved to qualify for final chasing 130 we won by bowler hitting two sixes that pretty much says the approach this team was playing and loss against Zimbabwe was like that trigger point

    Question for all panelists:
Why the head coach or the captain don't consider that we have a problem of having two similar kind of anchor players at the top of the order and another issue is that even if they get settled they aren't capable of playing a knock virat kholi played against us by accelerating when mattered in our case they just throw there wicket ending up at 60-70from 50-60 balls?
    General view:
Our ICC ranked batters take time to get going and play dots and by that we lack on the proper utilization of the powerplay.mostly what happens is that when we are up against a quality bowling line up top order goes dot dot dot and we dont come up with a counter attack by playing it in the air in powerplay which adds extra pressure on them and the upcoming batters.

Wasim bhai, Why can't we have format like 1992 WC whr each team to play eachother once with all teams. Other private T20 leagues have many matches, Why not for World Cup. #AskthePavilion

My question to the respected Waqar Younus and Misbah ul Haq is that if you believe the process and proper pathway is necessary for player development, why did you not only include Naseem and Musa in the squad for Australian tour, but had them debut there as well, even thoughyou had Sohail Khan in the squad and experienced and well performing pacers from the domestic circuit in Mir Hamza and Tabish Khan. The same goes for Haris Rauf, Abdullah Shafique and Azam Khan. The same goes for Haider Ali as well, who had just played his first first-class season and 1st PSL before getting selected for the team, all while ignoring Shoaub Malik who was available all this time. If you think that the conditions required these players at that time, would you not be contradicting your own statements about the proper pathway for players?
Also, when Mr. Malik was asked by a viewer whether he would like to coach, on which Mr. Wasim Alram responded that it was a separate skill than being a player only, implying that it requires proper training itself. The question here arises that why did Mr. Misbah ul Haq directly took the national team's coaching assignment intead of going through the ranks of coaching all the way from the lower/domestic level?

My question is for all the four legends, since you all have been Captains of PCT who was the one player who was hard to handle and why so. And if you can share some stories about it.

I am from India and for some strange reason I feel next ODI World Cup in India will be won by Pakistan. Their bowlers and batters are best suited for Indian conditions. If it does happen it will be the blockbuster World Cup ever 😀
