Very sophisticated, respectful and knowledge based discussion. There are people on both sides who connect over cricket....small ray of positivity called cricket should not be killed. Power of human to human bonding on both sides is far more important than power and money politics.
Then why can't you guys condemn BCCI'S stand? If you truly believe whatever you said then don't you think politics shouldn't be involved in sports?

I also had played couple of practice match against Shoaib Malik in Sialkot cantt ground when shoiab bhai were playing from good luck brother cricket club with Asif Bajwa (hockey Olympian)
I am originally from India and I follow this show because I enjoy it. I have always been a fan of Wasim and Waqar, unless of course they are playing with India. Let’s leave politics out of cricket.

Good on Fakhar for bringing back Wasim’s question to Misbah. Malik needs to learn the etiquette of being on an elite panel. He needs to learn also that harping on the same string doesn’t lend more weight to his flawed argument.
As for the Inzi question, in addition to Wasim’s very valid assertion that Inzi is amongst the all time Pakistani greats, there is also the fact that in the 90’s, Inzi wasn’t the only burly giant in world cricket.
The game has since moved on. Fitness levels are at unprecedented levels. We can’t be looking back to the past to answer the questions of the present.

Have to correct Misbah regarding Fakhar v Rizwan at the top. Here are the raw stats: Fakhar opening the inns has a SR of 136, 15.77% of his balls go for 4, 4% for 6 so his average innings is 23 off 17 balls with 3 4s and 1 6. Rizwan opening the inns has a SR of 131, 11.5% of his balls are hit for 4, 3.68% are hit for 6 so his average innings is 48 off 37 balls with 4 4s and 1 6. Point being that Fakhar has a better SR and higher percentage of boundaries which in the Power play is crucial. #askthepavillion
And what to do if Fakhar gets out cheaply as he often did, and put pressure on rest of the team?
In any format of the game it is necessary to get a good start. And if Babar & Rizwan get good start as they often do, Pakistan have enough fire power to post a good total. Their partnership is falcrum & source of stability for Pak team in T20 format.
What you failed to "research" is that since Babar & Rizwan start opening together, Pak won most of their matches.
Pak posted & chases most of their highest ever totals since they both opened.
Thrice they single handedly chased down totals of 200+.
In all these chases, Babar & Rizwan played central role.
Pak posted their highest ever total of 232, in which Babar & Rizwan gave start of 150+ in just 14 overs!
So, it's an absolute non sense to even consider any other player to open other than Babar & Rizwan.
Tell me one thing, according to your stats, which innings can more probably win you a match;
an innings of 48 off 37 balls,
Or an innings of just 23 off 17 balls???
I can see where malik is coming from, yes the heavy base can help transferring additional momentum but, he forgets a very important thing, that most of his extra weight comes from fat and fats don't generate power, you need more muscle to generate more force and quicker movement. additional fat on your body is like additional dead weight which can only exhaust you and slow u down
it makes an immense level of difference in ur stamina, strength and agility wen u hav an ideal body weight. If Shoaib is saying Azam is built big, then he should tell wat is his body fat %age. No one is built that big, how much muscles can one put on that skeleton?? its clearly the fat and its not little.
Younus is a world t20 winning captain as well.

In one of the Ask the Pavillion, Waqar narrated a 'funny' incident. Vajpayeeji had gone to welcome the Pak cricket team in 1999 when he was PM. Instead of appreciating the graceful gesture Afridi said, abhi dekh. When Vajpayee went to shake hand with him, he pressed so hard that 74 year old Vajpayeeji went flat. This incident is funny for Waqar.

Please note Shoaib Malik is not a legend no doubt he has been playing since 1998/99 but can you double check his Test & ODI records or even International T20 matches records it’s below par & very mediocre, fine he have scored over 11,000 runs in T20 but mostly in T20 League’s, check his record in Big Bash & 1 IPL nothing extra ordinary.
He could have become very good batter but he ran away from his responsibility.
Malik has scored around 3000 runs in test cricket with batting average of 32 and 7500 runs in ODI format with batting average of 33.It is more than what Ramiz raja has achieved in two formats.It is good average not mediocre as you put it.

In 2018 our govt told that they couldn't provide security because of 2019 elections . Earlier this has been done when ipl 2009 was shifted to South Africa because of 2009 elections.

I am very disappointed regarding the comments by Wasim Akram and Waqar Younus about Younus Khan making to the “Hall of fame” Induction, why create a controversy? It was by voting and he was selected, nothing against Inzamam ul Haque. Also can you please refrain from speaking too much Punjabi and English.

Great Show. For Note on India not coming for Asia cup so what. Asia cup can be played without india. There are other countries in Asia. Srilanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and UAE. Let them play politics we want to see cricket
India was willing to skip Asia cup but Pakistan media rights earning woukd have crashed hence they agreed to all Indian conditions and backed out from the threat to not play world cup in India. Pak cares for money more than dignity.

Jay Shah is from ruling party in India, if allowed indian players to travel pakistan then the Hindus in India will go against the ruling party. That's why he must have made this statement as going to pakistan is less important than controlling the sentiments of hindus in india. And how can you keep politics away from cricket?
