Couple more points on the Shade as an Angmar player. You have 8 turns to use its ability, if you're up against magic users they're going to targer it to use that Will. When its out of Will you just have a terror anchor. It's only f1 s1, and worst of all courage 1, so when you break its gone. Not having Might can mess it up for maelstrom scenarios, especially if it's split onto the other side of the board you might not be able to get support over, and any strong hero like Aragorn can deal with The Shade with ease. I've used The Shade and done well with it, I've come 3rd at a 1000pt GT with it. But I definitely agree that it gets you into a static type of play, and always go for 2 Wights now instead.
Yeah definitely good points for sure mate, it's solid, but has its drawbacks which is a solid design. Still I'd take it at higher levels still for sure.

I think all Angmar armies start at 105 points with a Barrow Wight and an Orc captain on warg with shield, 105 for 2 points of might for marches and moves and most likely at least one paralyse is a great core to your army. I'd put the barrow wight at the top of S because it's such an autoinclude, because it goes in literally every army it sorta MUST be more efficient than Gulavar and Witchy. Just my opinion ofc.
Also side note: As a UK player i put a banner in all my armies, fight 3 or no. I dont think the fight value matters you're just adding more dice to combat to win fights. If you are swarming F3 guys you're already rolling a lot of dice, a banner can easily add 6 dice to combats. I've only been to one tournament but everyone had a banner.
Fair enough mate! We've heard far too many stories for the UK just not using banners, maybe it depends on the region 😅
Pretty bang on tier list, however, I’d go further and call Orc w/spear & shield with their terror bonus S tier as one of the best warriors in the game. 210 pts gets you 30 of them, and a tar pit that will hold up anything in the game
So long as those spirits are alive and near by that is!

Hey guys, love the video as per usual. About banners, I'm in Canada and I love to run 2 or 3 of them even with my fight 3 mordor because they look cool on the board :))))

Enjoyed the breakdown guys, WARG was great.
I've been back in the hobby for about a year, mostly playing Mordor but recently made a switch to using Angmar.
They feel WAY more competitive than Mordor, they both have a similar bag of tricks, but I think Angmar does it way more efficiently and offers far more synergy.
They're literally one of the most competitive factions in the game really, the synergy and value you get from them is insane.

Mordor has so many options though! Not saying that Angmar isn't strong too, just saying that with good list writing and play, Mordor is as strong. Maybe it's a thing of your playstyle matching Angmar more than Mordor
What new Angmar profiles would you want from future supplements?
Angmar literally need no new heroes, they're one of, if not the most competitive list in the game 😂

I might have misunderstood something but the Angmar keyword doesn’t matter for the Shade’s ability does it? When you’re talking about Cave Trolls. It just says “any enemy model within…”
It's been FAQd sadly.
I had an amazing list with a shade but due to the FAQ it's unplayable hahaha

It had to be done though, since Shades being allied in to pretty much every list, broke the game for a while

Can someone explain what they were talking about with spending a might makes a 6/4 to a 5/3?
If you spend might to wound and you need to get 6s/4 the might also transfers over to the next roll Eg. Roll a 5, might to a 6 means you don't need a 4 on the next roll you need a 3

Can a spector use its ability on a model that already moved into combat that turn? Say enemy went first moved gondor soldier into orc could spector on angmar turn use its ability to move that gondor soldier out of combat?
Nah can't move into or out of combat with abilities like spectre or Sentinel or Command

i never had much success with gulavhar the arnor of terror. hes just to vulnerable to be wounded for a 200 pts model. i rather have any of the three named wraiths in angmar with a felbeast then using gulavhar
Gully is a tough model to use, he's a scalpel as Jeff says, you've gotta get him right to have him be effective but once you do he's nearly unbeatable

Nah man a horse isn't a separate model, so is unaffected by the tainted's ability.
A mounted model (horse and rider) is considered 1 model.
