Tysm for reacting to my cage! Mine was the second one 4:00 :) I’ll definitely look for some different hideouts/tunnels and enrichment toys! As for a partner though, he’s had 2 friends and he’s always been quite aggressive towards them and my parents aren’t allowing me to get him another friend (even if he wasn’t aggressive). I always give him lots of attention, I know that doesn’t replace another pig but it’s all I can do and he doesn’t show any signs of depression or loneliness so I think he’s ok! Thank you again, I really appreciate the tips and everything 💜
Of course! I’m sorry you’ve had issues with aggression with him! If your parents would consider a bar buddy that may be a low stress solution ❤️ Glad I could help & I really love the space you’re able to give him!!
Thank you lots for reacting to my piggie homes! 🤗 Mine was the last one. The bottom cage is the easiest to clean since I could pull it out from underneath the table. The top is a little bit of a beast lol. The trick with the hay racks is to keep them full, but not overstuffed. I also use them more for enrichment rather than their primary hay source since they LOVE burrowing in the hay piles. Penelope will sit there and just pull hay out and not eat it. She also plays with the water bottles. She’s quite the goofy girl 😂❤
Of course I loved your cages!! Ah that makes sense since you could pull it out since mine are stacked with the grids I have to climb inside 😖 and gotcha!! glad they like the hay towers ☺️
Thank you so much for reacting to my cage! It was cage 3, I’m planning on moving the storage shelves I have and putting a 2x6 at the end of the 2x5 so it’s an L shape! ❤ love your advice x
Cage 8 here. The huts came from Amazon. We have a forage and hay pile day every Saturday before our deep cleans which they get to forage. My boyfriend is sensitive allergy wise to the hay so I limit their forage(hay pile) days to once a week so it's not in the air as much. Didn't realized I left the stuffed animals in there omg. I had them in there temporarily to see if the guinea pigs approved of the new brand of scent free detergent I baught before washing all their fleece in it 😆
I gotcha with the allergies! Have you tried orchard grass? Sometimes that helps with allergies if the allergy is to the hay itself and not the dust it creates.
@@Growwithkacey not sure about meadow but I use orchard! My bf has lots of allergies and he’s still slightly sensitive to the dust but as long as he’s not the one handling the hay he doesn’t really have issues. I love oxbow orchard personally
@@autumngrace. I'll definitely be ordering that! I have an air purifier right by the cage as well which helps some. My piggies will be so happy if they can have hay piles 24/7 now!!!
Great video Autumn! Thanks for all of the advice on my Guinea pigs from when I got them to now. Sadly they both passed recently and I wish you the best for you and your pigs. I will definitely continue watching your videos though! ❤ thanks. 🙏🏾
Hi Autumn! My cage is getting a makeover so I haven’t submit it yet. We are going to be adding 1 or 2 more piggies to our piggy fam! I recently adopted one! ❤❤❤
thank you for your feedback, i’m the first cage. they’ve got some more toys now & i’ll look into extending their cage once we’ve moved house in the new year. might just ditch the hay rack & stick to the piles of hay! thank you. i’m giggling at estella’s hair cut 😆
Thanks for sharing!! I think once you upgrade you’ll really enjoy having more space for them because you can do different layouts & the cage is more fun to setup!
I have cages from the pet store but i want to upgrade them to an open cage like the ones you showed. where do i find those? Cause they're getting fussy and a bit lazy lol.
I had one thing to add- my current cage I am well aware is not big enough. We have only had her for two weeks and they gave it to us. Our other just hasn’t arrived 😅
First off, I would be concerned about keeping two neutered boars with a herd of females. It's generally not recommended since the neutered boars could fight over the females in the herd. If that is in feet, that would be 24 square feet, which is hardly enough for five, much less eight. If those girds are 14", that's 32 square feet, and still really only suitable for six in my opinion. For eight guinea pigs, you're going to want at least 40 square feet, with 48-64 being highly preferred.
@@autumngrace. I have had all 8 of them together for awhile in a bigger cage with out fights then I moved and lost some grids but thanks for your info I will upgrade my size and it's 14' c and c cage
Hey Autumn, I have a question: so, I don't have guinea pigs yet but I do have a rabbit. My question is - is it better for guinea pigs to have a water bottle or a little water bowl? I know for rabbits it's better to have a bowl, so I'm just wondering if it's the same for guinea pigs! ❤
Many people prefer bottles but it really comes down to the guinea pig! Some pigs won’t drink out of bowls so they need bottles while some won’t drink out of bottles. I recommend trying both and seeing which one they like better :)
It's really up to you for guinea pigs! I find that mine can be quite messy and would probably have issues keeping a bowl clean, plus some of them only know how to use a bottle. You can offer both and see which one they prefer or just offer both always!
Be careful with empty paper towel rolls empty toilet paper rolls- Guinea pigs can get their heads stuck in them and not make it it happened to someone in one of my groups and I just wanted to drop that warning here since I’m seeing a lot of those in the pics.
Thank you for showcasing my cage. Sweetpea and Fluffy are like little celebrities now! Love seeing everyone's cages.

You can get them from places like guineapigcagesstore.com or make them yourself ! There’s lot of videos on how to build a c&c cage
I really like your TH-cam channel ❤️
Thank you ☺️
Do you have any advice on how to keep the cage from smelling so bad?

Hi do you think a 2x8 Is big enough for 3 females?
Yes definitely 🥰
I had one thing to add- my current cage I am well aware is not big enough. We have only had her for two weeks and they gave it to us. Our other just hasn’t arrived 😅
Great video! I keep missing the opportunities to submit though :( guess I’ll just hope for next time
I usually post about it on my community tab here on TH-cam!
Thank you for reacting to my cage, the second to last one. We cut the hole in the chloroplast litter box not the piggies.
is a midwest cage okay for two pigs?
I recommend two pigs have at least 10 square feet for females & 12 for boys - so no I don’t think so!
I wanna send one !!!
It's a Cornette
I have a 6x4 for 6 females and 2 neutered do you think that's enough

Would you ever react to subscribers rabbit cages?
I really hate how people say, was in the middle of cleaning that's why it's not there etc why take a photo if it's not ready 🤔🙈

Yes ☺️

They are also rolled with poisonous glue, so not good if they are ate by the guinea pigs
YAY
