@@RFXLR Indeed. She's almost old enough to be my grandmother (born the same year as my dad, but he was in his 30's when I was born) but she was definitely still a beauty back then 16 years ago. I love that she didn't dye her hair and didn't turned her face into a freak show of botox like many of her peers did and still do. A natural beauty.

I think perhaps the beauty of Mark and his music and the musicians he plays with...is that it is both a refuge and a stimulation. It is quite a mix and I feel very lucky to have had it in my life. 🙂

The best in every way words fail me I've been a fan for only about 5 years now but started with some of his early ballads like 5:45 I think was one and so I had a couple of his CDs and then I discovered you know TH-cam and found so much here and I just love that one called true love will never fade away and so many more okay.!

Emmylou was getting into this one. Great to see five guitars on stage. Drummer Danny Cummings is brilliant, totally spot on.

Richard Hayward Yes, Emmy Lou has always been a perfectionist, my mom grew up with her, up til their last couple years of HS, when my mom got married(this was the 60's, so many girls got married young) & she wasn't as involved in after school clubs or sports anymore, like majorettes & band. I remember my Mom telling me about how her & E.L., that even though they were long time friends, they kinda had this long time rivalry, since they both competed for the same things. I still remember my Mom talking about how much of a perfectionist Emmy Lou was & it definitely paid off! If I remember correctly, her family was quite strict on her growing and & she was basically primed from the time she was a kid to be a beauty queen, singer/musician, or perhaps an actress (I think her & my Mom did some plays together?) & she did it, she made it big at a fairly young age, plus growing up so close to Washington DC didn't hurt! Plus she's gorgeous, even with that silver hair, it just fits her so well! It's making me not want to color my hair anymore! Lol

You and I are in the same position sir. I finally get to see my girlfriend again on Saturday, after 15 months of lockdown (at least that's how long it's been where I live). My girlfriend and I have been together 10 years, and we have never been through anything like this before. We've had ups and downs, nothing that ever kept us apart for this long, but we made do with the situation at hand. I can't wait to be with her again, which makes me happy. This song is bittersweet for me, because I just found out that my ex-girlfriend passed away suddenly late last year.
