I just fixed a 212 doodlebug for my neighbor. I installed a 212 in my sons mbx10. I thought my sons was a bit of a handful until I test rode my neighbors. That one is geared a little lower plus the overall size and riding position is different so it’s real snappy and wheelie happy. My sons MBX10 the way I have it geared will do wheelies on command but let’s you have more of a controlled launch and tops out at 41MPH with me on it (220#), my son is 77# but he’s too scared to keep it pinned to top out. LOL. One note though, it is worth swapping the clutch and rear sprocket for a 40/41 chain and run a 420 chain on it. It handles the torque better with a lot less stretch so it’ll last longer. I also made my own header that accepts a screw on muffler. I made it from scrap bicycle handle bars, turned out pretty sweet.
I have put 212's in both frames, there is definitely more room in the DB30. No trimming anything to get proper fitment. I had to trim a small bit of plastic from the stock airbox to get the 212 to fit the 80cc monster moto frame. No riser plates or anything weird on either frame. The engine fits on both stock mount plates.
I built this exact same thing, and mine only goes 28 mph top speed. I’m very confused why this is because yours goes much faster, and everything is exactly the same between mine and yours. The only difference that I can notice is that I have an upgraded air filter, and my clutch is not on backwards like you have yours. I’m planning on getting a smaller back sprocket to try to get a higher top speed. Does anyone know why his goes so much faster than mine?
try removing the international governor very simply plenty of videos and adjusting the external governor also try a 100-80 dollar torque converter if you wanna go a lot faster more torque more speed they have a carb and exhaust kit you can buy that will also make the predator 212 go faster this kit will run you 100 bucks comes with carb , air intake with a dust cover , exhaust, breathers , jets , ect wanna go even faster fix the gearing on the back wheel try a 70 sprocket and more teeth on the clutch
Is it normal for the chain to scrap the clutch like that? I bought a monster Moto 80 and switched out the engine to a 212 predator of course got a new clutch but mine does scrape like how your did.
Ay what kind of brakes caliper do you have cause I have the mini bike with 212 but the stock brakes are trash I was wondering if you have the hydraulic brakes
The 420 motor will fit on it but it will take some modifications of the frame to allow it to fit. If you're looking for some more horsepower I would recommend for going to the 212 and then buying a stage 1 or stage 2 kit so that you can get the same if not more horsepower from a smaller motor that will fit easier
Can't remember the clutch but just look up the size of the output shaft. I just grabbed some size 35 chain from a tractor supply store and cut it to size with an angle grinder
Liked and subbed! My dirtbug has gone an 8.60@78+ in the 1/8 still on the stock wheelbase. I have a video on my channel, check it out if you get time. Thanks

@@ultimatemonk4162 yeah 212 predator with billet rod /flywheel 265 cam with head ported polished milled down 40thou
@@boostedmk5gti563 I run a stock 212 with a header a torque converter and 30 tooth rear sprocket and run 54mph
I know this is a year old but how did you bend that bar back
Change the sprocket to a smaller size to get rid of the jump action
That laugh after the wheelie😂
Hey man just wanted to say thanks 😂 apparently 76% percent of veiws from my doodle bug video are because they came from watching your video
Looks easier to swap on those vs the monster moto

How did you bend that bar back? So the motor can fit. I don’t want to cut it off
Now go stage 1 with a torque converter

what about your governor is it still on?

Add q stage one performance kit from go power sports
How did you do the swap? Was this a direct bolt in swap or? Provide a list of required modifications and such, I’d love to do this with mine
You can legit order all new parts from doodle bug or baha motorsports

I have a dirt bug do you think i can put a 212 in it
I bought this bike off this dude
Is it normal for the chain to scrap the clutch like that? I bought a monster Moto 80 and switched out the engine to a 212 predator of course got a new clutch but mine does scrape like how your did.
What size motor i have the same one
I have one of these it’s so fun but I’m having chain problems so I can’t ride it
What size sprocket
He was flying literally
nice shirt
She a legend mini
I have the same mini bike but I want a bigger 212 enigine
301 or 420
Depends on your experience with the bike you can make a 212 25 hp but dont recommend with no littel to no experience
I had stage 2 on a doodle bug my dads 350 plus pounds and he clocked 40
First thing I suggest is spending 100 $ on bullit conecting rod yes a little steep but it last and you will never have to worry about it
I’ll buy your doodle bug haha
How did you bend the bar behind the motor back
I heated up the welds and then hit it backwards with a hammer
Link to this engine and clutch?
Engine is from harbor freight. You can get it for like $100 new if you get a coupon. Cant remember the clutch
3/4 clutch
Ay what kind of brakes caliper do you have cause I have the mini bike with 212 but the stock brakes are trash I was wondering if you have the hydraulic brakes
Nope. Stock brakes. They suck
Bruh on a flat road I can get the stock bike to go 35 mph with two people on it
my bike accelerate fast but as i drive it slows down and goes slow i have the predator engine on a 100cc coleman mini bike dose anyone know why?
Governor
Add stage performance kit
Yeah I did the same thing
Sorry but that is not a doodle bug that is a Coleman cc100x but nice bike tho
😂awsome
hows the pickup on that baby!? does it go hard at green lights?
I have the same bike u have but a little different
I can't wait to do this swap ! Will the larger 8hp Predator engine fit inside the chassis ?

Did you need to replace the rear sprocket for the swap?
Nope
Did you use ur old chain from the 97cc?
@@jeremiahstewart3378 nope. Bought size 35 chain from a parts store and used an angle grinder to gut it to size. The old chain wasn't long enough
You look waaay to big for that bike... Lol

hey hit this comment back if you ever wanna colab
If you want to go faster put a straight pipe on it
My goes 20mph
I've put a new engine in my and ontop of that a turbo to so it goes 70km
Smaller rear sprocket will raise top speed and lower how much it wants to wheelie I'm going to get one for my doodlebug
@@edwinwx260 you'll get less torque but in this case it doesn't matter
Get a 54 tooth you'll do dam near 50 if not more it'll help keep the front wheel down on take off
