I played around with religious convocation for my Sokoto run and what I appreciate about it is that its roleplay yes, but roleplay in a way that makes your country actually feel different. Divine Economics makes the Ulema a dominant force in your country (since it gives them ownership shares in financial districts) and they act as a strong conservative bulwark. Its fun. Also for trade, I use a mod that really increases how much trade happens and its a godsend, makes trade feel like actually profitable
Along with a global market and Great War system, I think a national stockpile would be a nice addition. Equipping conscripts with rifles because you've only been making bolt actions for a year, or needing to import groceries because a 'quick' war is dragging on and the troops need feeding, that sort of thing. Heck, that could tie in nicely with some of the systems coming in 1.8, and in a dream world, could even lead to political fallout from things like wars. You could be forced to back out of a late game Great War early, due to political pressure on the home front with the people missing their imported French wine, German sausage, and British opium... err tea. Now you've got me dreaming AEP....
I don't want a stockpile system as granular as HOI's, but I do agree we need some sort of stockpile system due to the fact that there is no demand for ammunition and artillery outside of a war, and then when a war starts, you suddenly need to have all your factories hire workers to build them. You often need to rebuild the factories since the capitalists will downsize them from the unemployment. I would love to be able to say something like, please have enough stockpile of ammunition for a 1-year full mobilization of all my troops (customizable), then you can stop making them.
There are some great mods for Austria not very historical, but I think they're a fun GP to play! Looking forward to your 1.8 modlist

Which mod do you use to boost trade?

Yes, just a few days!

Stockpiles are needed, for sure.

I would add a stockpile of building materials for those of us that start/stop construction periodically.
