Today we are looking at the "RPK" blueprint for the AK-47 as part of the "Monkey Business" bundle available in the shop for 500 COD Points.

The RPK (Ruchnoy Pulemyot Kalashnikova, ("Kalashnikov hand-held machine gun") is a 7.62×39mm light machine gun of Soviet design, developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov in the late 1950s, parallel with the AKM assault rifle. It was created as part of a program designed to standardize the small arms inventory of the Red Army, where it replaced the 7.62×39mm RPD light machine gun. The RPK continues to be used by the armed forces of countries of the former Soviet Union and certain African and Asian nations. The RPK is also manufactured in Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.
The RPK functions identically to the AK-47. It also uses the same 7.62×39mm ammunition. It has a similar design layout to the Kalashnikov series of rifles, with modifications to increase the RPK's effective range and accuracy, enhance its sustained fire capability, and strengthen the receiver.

Man, I wish they would just add one black M4A1 blueprint with the M16 carry handle like the OG. Been waiting for that for so long, but the best we've ever gotten is the pink anime version.

Took me a while to notice that “The Breakup”(Anime gun blueprint) actually had a carry handle. Once I noticed that, I laughed and made a Pink M16. I do agree that they should add another M4A1 blueprint with a carry handle.
I would have gotten it but not for 1800 points... crazy..
@Jamie Ballard Or maybe Infinity Ward shouldn't be removing content from the game I paid $60 bucks for, you ever think of that?
They should have gone with a bakelite 40rd mag instead of the drum
Maybe even a 45 or 50 round bakelite mag
@@elseagullo4979 you can get a bakelite 40rd if you go pawn takes pawn and then get the free Ak there

Possibly the best bundle they have so far. A consistent balance of aesthetics, cheap as fuck and all on a pretty good weapon. Fantastic.
Agreed. i always prefer the more grounded aesthetics and closer to irl blueprints but overall id say this is the least appealing of those, cause its literally titled as RPK yet they didnt even use the right barrel and didnt change the stock to the one you see irl. I still think its a great looking blueprint nonetheless but for me personally that aswell as its cheap price doesnt make up for its misleading title and inconsistencies
o changes to the irl build, cause its kind of a scam in a way lol.

I was hoping they'd do an RPK blueprint, but not like this. What they should've done was give it a stamped receiver with a bulged barrel trunnion, a thicker wood hand guard, and replace the PKM stock with the RPK clubfoot. I honestly get kind of tired of IW's obsession with the old milled type 3 AK being their base, when it's been out of service with former Soviet bloc militaries for decades, and isn't nearly as common as its stamped counterparts. However, I will say that I do like the red wood finish, at least.

@@bigdawg6308 no, I don't mean the RPD. That is a completely different system, not even remotely the same as the Kalashnikov pattern rifles.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the PKM stock for the AK. Luckily the correct RPK stock is in BO Cold War

Why didnt they use the rpk barrel for it and changed the stock to the clubfoot like how you see in real life? I still like the blueprint but i was hoping for a more true irl overhaul like how they did with other blueprints...kinda dissapointed. 😕
They call an RPK but use the Romanian barrel, strange.
It’s just the RPK with the forward grip, like the akm had it.

It’s just an rpk barrel with the Romanian dong grip , I think a few blueprints actually remove the dong
Also, for those of you that come across this, the Master Adventurer gives you a 40 round magazine that looks stellar on this blueprint.

There’s also 5.45x39 RPKs like the one we see in BO1 the RPK-74m which is the LMG variant of the AK-74/74m. Also the AK-12 has an RPK variant called the RPK-12. And I know you mentioned the older RPKs in the video but I kinda wanted the newer RPKs/AKs I’ve learned about.

I have a nice class to run with the Romanian barrel and the newly buffed 5x45. The best part is that I've earned 500 CoD points from the battle pass so its basically free at this point. Heck yeah.
Can you see if with this when you get a regular ak barrel, will the top wood be orange or dark wood if you have a fore grip.
I got the pack and checked just now. It does indeed change the wood color so you need to keep the barrel. What I’d do is give it a spetsnaz elite barrel and folding stock and you’d get a newer looking AK but with a more Bulgarian/Romanian style pistol grip.
I built my rpk with the 40 round mag and the skeleton stock just because I think it looks and handles a lot better
In gunfight there’s a loadout were the Romanian barrel I’d short and it doesn’t have a bipod also in the campaign there a ak barrel where it’s black plastic

Dong grip throws off the build
When u put a camo on it does it cover the front barrel fully or is it still rubbed off? The wood and the metal?

I bought it today, not sure for the standard camos but for Completionist (Gold, Platinum, Damascus), it only cover the metal parts (barrel, receiver, magazine).
I wish i had the money... But with u here my dreams almost "come true(?)" :D (Luv u) ;)

Forget this gun sorta, slap a no stock and 5.45 ammo with 2 extra attachments and it will smack

The battlepass can be leveled up even if you don’t buy it but you won’t get much out of it.

A big part of that might be what mode you’re playing and the fact that the last 10 tiers seem to have a way higher time and XP requirement. Last season the last few tiers took noticeably longer for me, and tier 100 felt like it took at least 2-3 times the normal amount of time for me to rank up.

I believe this is a bug, I would search on Reddit about it. Your not the only person having issues.
The actual technical name for this is PM 64/65
Unless they used the rpk barrel, changed the stock to the clubfoot aswell as used the bipod then thats almost if not completely accurate to irl.

Isn't this set up RPD if you don't use the blueprint?
孙林可 no the RPD is a completely different weapon, the most noticeable changes are the much wider receiver and different hand guard shape.
Doesn't have the aim sight tho
makes rpk, foregoes rpk barrel, instead equips romanian. makes sense.
This guy knows nothing about guns... the stock is a PKM Stock
It absolutely kill me that with the bipod not selected it still has the bipod but just folded down so it’s still attached you just don’t use it.
