This is why I wish I played on PC, getting to practice whatever you want. On console its too much of a hassle and makes it discouraging to get good in this game. All I ever do is try to improvise on the spot which is probably why I never get these pro tactics down. As for the blitz AI. I've seen this guy do the pause combo with Gilgamesh and that usually does the trick, try that.
It's never guaranteed, he's always random from what I've seen, I never try to attack it once the elec goes off him and just wait/run around him and dodge until he screams. Always works that way because there's a huge amount of time before he recharges the elec.
***** Actually, I've never found any situation where running or waiting is rewarding at all. In my experience, a good offense is the best defense in DMC series (Or Royal Guard), which is why that timer on the Bloody Palace is pointless as it is now (thankfully). Staggering him (Don't have to launch him) kinda "refreshes" his AI, if you know what I mean. When that happens, there's a high chance that he'll growl. Like I tried to say in the video, I'd be interested in knowing any way to guarantee that growl, but there seems to be no such way AFAIK :(
