It gets hot in my garage and I find the small pieces of grip tape tend to slide off but I have several large Pusher and Voodoo sloper jugs with grip tape that's managed to withstand the heat and climbing. I did have to cut them in funky shapes to adhere to the bulging curves of the slopers. I bet wrapping the grip tape behind the hold a bit would help a lot by pinching it between the hold and the wall, I'll try that on my smaller holds in the future. Thanks for the beta 👊🏼
Cool idea. I wonder if you used a heat gun you might be able to bend the shape of the grip-tape to your will (the shape of the hold) and not have the folds/wrinkles on rounded convex and concave shapes. It might also help with it bonding/removing the potential bubbles.
i used super glue and aluminium oxide, it worked a treat, spread the glue out thinly then sprinkle the aluminium oxide over the glue. best to practice on a piece of wood first.
I've got Zinc plated tnuts on pressure treated plywood (which is horrible if you get it wet) however mine is in a very humid environment in my garage and I have had zero corrosion issues in the past 3 years. I freaked out a but when I learned about Zinc and Copper treatment in wamonized wood, however it seems to only be an issue if it's getting wet from the elements, humidity doesn't seem to be enough to get a chemical reaction going thankfully

what's your experience with zinc plated t-nuts in a humid garage? is stainless steel recommended?
I haven't had an issue with the tnuts. My Minnesota wall got pretty humid. But the nonstainless bolts did rust a bit.
