Ducati ST4S Shifty business

  • Today we're fixing a 2003 Ducati ST4S with shifting trouble. This happens to a lot of bikes when an internal spring breaks on the selector mechanism. The result is that you can only select gears one way and not the other. This particular bike has had a very expensive history but the owner dearly loves it and so do we. Luckily today's job was only a minor repair. But as the sped-up and edited video won't show, it takes a lot of work to get to the actual culprit and rectify the problem. Later on we might be back to change the worn out dry clutch. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to leave a comment.

Totally agree that the ST4 and ST4s are great touring machines. Highly under rated and excellent value for money. The Corbin seat is a smart move since while adequate the factory seat isn't as good.

Never a good sign when you need to do transmission work and you start by removing the mirror. 😂
