    Why?
1 - No State Income Taxes
2 - You don't have to shovel snow, and no road salt.
3 - Beaches that smell like sun-tan lotion, and not vomit and sewage like in NJ
4 - South Beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Disney World, Lego Land, Key West...
5 - All the jobs are moving there.

      All of Florida sucks!
      1) overpopulated, get ready for long lines
      2) most deadly highways in America per square mile
      3) $140 / month in tolls using the sun pass
      4) CDD fees (community development district fees) on average is $160/month
      5) Highest HOA fees in America. $250/month
      6) $$$ everything is a “resort” with a gate
      7) highest house and car insurance in United States
      8) nothing is relaxing here, all hectic with cars going 100 mph while some doing 40, you want your kids driving here? They will die.
      9) no one speaks English….. it’s like a different country
      10) schools suck
      11) everything is flat down hill, roads are small and infrastructure crowded 24/7
      12) everyone in America wants to move here and housing in non existent including renting
      13) after being here for a year, I’m moving to s farm to buy 200 acres in the peaceful calm Midwest ….. my $750,000 home here cost $250k in Midwest and I get s basement.
      14) backyards are non existent … 5 feet maybe
      15) sun is ok, but waaaay over-rated. Rather have some nice winters… after being here bring on the cold….

Glad your happy there, that a must in life. For myself, I moved from 21 years in florida back to mid northern michigan, bought a beautiful home on a lake for 225000 and just love it as I love michigan summers with the lakes and boating, and fall and I know, oddly enough, love winter and snow. I enjoy the four seasons and each physiological change they bring. I absolutely despised the summer heat and bugs in fla and all the people moving in was making life miserable. Yes. It’s hot. So take a shower in one of the 10 bathrooms you can now afford or float in your private pool. The homes cost less than a parking space in a parking deck in Harlem. That’s the realization that had that made us move back south from NYC. For less than the rent of our studio apartment- we can have a 8 bed 6.5 bath home 6 minutes to Disney world. The private schools also have no waitlists (and certainly not years long) and they cost a third as much. Sold. I’ll deal with the heat. At least now I’m in the AC in my Tesla vs schlepping my laundry down the street to the laundry mat while everything smells like summer garbage.

I moved to Florida in 2006 and stayed until 2012. Then I moved to south Texas for work. Being from NY I just can’t take the heat anymore, it gets old. I’m moving back to NY in 2 weeks and although I’m not a fan of snow, it sure beats the ridiculous heat and humidity for 10 months a year. Good luck and I wish you the best.

What a beautiful home you have. Meanwhile, people are running out of New Jersey and New York as fast as they can by the millions to get away from the sky-high taxes, bad winter weather and lousy economies. A moving truck rental agent recently told a friend of mine in New York State that one of their biggest problems is that there are ten moving trucks leaving New York for every one coming back. Thus, they are constantly short of rental trucks. Well, that about says it all doesn't it.

I’ve lived in South Carolina all my life. I live in Lexington which is about 15 minutes from the capital Columbia. If you are ready to settle down, it ain’t too bad. For the younger crowd it may seem dead at times. I’m considering moving to a bigger city like Charlotte or Atlanta and then eventually move back. I’m an engineer and the job market (at least in Columbia) is not all that great. It’s also not very diverse and people still seem to have an ‘old south’ way of thinking.

Either because they are stuck in the rat race that is the north, and also the ones who are jealous and dont want to see you happy. Or the provincial people who dont ever leave. NJ is beige, dirty and expensive. NJ is that snow thats been on the side of the road for 3 weeks and is no longer the color of snow. 400k gets you a dirty old house that wasn't nice when it was originally built for a longshoreman in the 50s.
Florida ain't great. All the roads are straight and it's hot and humid as hell, but you get a lot for your cash. So there's that.

Exactly, Hispanics are much more welcome in Florida than the North Carolina. North Carolina has no better job market than Florida and you can survive in Florida on less money. Florida is growing more and more each year with fortune 500 and 100 companies moving here due to no income tax and better services. August is a tough month here with the humidity and heat but otherwise from that it's a better deal than NC or NJ.

I lived in AL the first 26 years of my life and I know it's a sh*thole. Nashville used to be better than what it is now. A lot of what made it "Nashville" has been lost with the gentrification.

I moved to Florida in 2015 and it’s the best thing I ever did. Of course, I retired so I don’t need a job. But my RE taxes were 15K a year in NY, couldn’t get from point a to point be without being stuck in a traffic jam. Expenses like food, electricity and gas were through the roof so I didn’t feel like I had a choice except to move. I happen to like the heat and hate the winter so that was another thing on the plus side for me. Also, my car needs way less maintenance down here and no salt and snow destroying my tires and finish on my car. I’ll deal with a hot summer for a few months to gain the benefit of 8 months of warm and sunny weather, it was a no brainer for me!

New York has undergone a huge clean-up and gentrification project since the 1990s. It's no longer the NY that you see in the movies from the 1980s. You can walk through most of Manhattan how at any time of the day and never have a problem.

NYC went through a major gentrification and also NYC has decriminalized some crimes to make their streets seem safer. Miami's downtown area has and is still being rebuilt. Do you know why it's flourishing ? Because many NYC financial moguls are moving here to the Brickell area. They run fiber to their homes and trade in Florida now due to the lack of income tax paid here. Wall Street has declined every year and Forbes listed the Brickell area as the new financial mecca.

We are from Ohio and I find the cost of living to be similar. I do LOVE seeing all the cool cars down here and all the car shows :) My main side of living down here is the traffic. I'm a life long Floridian and I live less than an hour away from Jacksonville. Shootings and murders regularly and everything in between. But if you got money you might not see all that.

    Hey Tavarish,
I’m fairly new to your channel. I jumped on around the time you bought the Lambo. I gotta tell you what you’ve done on that car, your creativity, resourcefulness, and problem solving is amazing. It really encourages those of us out here that maybe have doubts that we could properly get our respective projects done the way we’ve envisioned. So a big thanks and RESPECT goes out to you for tacking every single issue that comes up and sharing it with us. Your content is very valuable. I wish all the very best to you and your family and look forward to all your content. Even as you say”junk”. It all had value. Thank you!!

I am a Jersey girl (currently in Texas) and my parents and my two aunts moved from New Jersey to Florida 2 years ago. They had to pay the exit tax when they sold their houses. There are hundreds of people in South Jersey that are turning the keys over to the bank and leaving, because they can no longer afford the property taxes. One of the biggest problems in NJ is that there are more people on welfare than tax payers. So the tax payers have been burdened with the extra load. I will be moving to Florida in a couple months, and I already know several people in the area I am going. I have a lot of friends that I grew up with that moved there. I just hope we don't sink the peninsula with all the people from NJ! LOL

Every state has its pluses and minuses. I'm in Dallas and, for the most part, I love it here ... despite the summer heat!
Compared to the rest of Texas, our big cities are quite liberal and Democrat.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are moving here (especially from CA), so houses are skyrocketing in value, along with property taxes.

I sometimes think this too but I can't afford to live in NJ anymore. I also can't stand the lack of services and expenses. I pay a quarter of the property taxes (but my HOA fees seem to increase it to a third) I also live 7 miles from the beach and within an hour of Fort Lauderdale and Miami. You can't survive in NJ anymore if you want to own a home, if you want live and rent maybe. I go back to NYC and NJ constantly and don't hate it but just find myself asking why I stayed so long. Be retired but still work the same job is amassing me some good money since we have no income tax. Much better quality of life and living. I miss my friends and family though and that's why I go back otherwise the hell with NJ and NYC.

Dude, you made a great choice. Low taxes is huge!! I live in illinois and the taxes are nuts here too. I looked at 2 homes that were around 185000.00 one in illinois and the other in Indiana. The property tax in illinois was in the 5 to 6000.00 a year range and the same cost house in Indiana was about 1500.00 a year!!! Holy cow!!! I’m hearing a lot of talk ( on the radio) about they are trying to lower our property taxes in this state due to the fact that people are moving out like crazy. My family has been in this area since the 1700’s. I’d prefer not to move but it almost don’t make sense to stay except we have 4 grown kids in the area. My wife isn’t on board with the idea, I’ll have to keep working this plan.

Ride a motorcycle or drive a sports car most of the year. No state income tax. Property taxes are low. State's budget is balanced. Compare that to Illinois or NJ. LOL Great channel!
