Easily themost underrated Assassins Creed game. Sure it launch with bugs, and that really is rubbish. But the story and graphics and general atmosphere is an absolute series highlight. The most detailed characters too.
Yes its so fluid and the overall look of the game, especially the parkour!
Story is pretty boring actually... not a single moment of tension till the end
The animations were top tier specifically the hidden blades
mate series highlight is Ezio and Edward's stories, not Unity's lmao
Not underrated at all, just valid criticisms for how broken it can be at times

This game looks beyond amazing. These guys really do a fantastic job! I love the visuals, and I love the lack of HUD elements in these demos, makes for a much more cinematic and immersive experience!
it really baffles me how they make these games and the amount of precision and detail they put in,its so complex and the size of the game is amazing.Most of the people who play the game probably take this for granted but you guys are really doing an amazing job in game developement and are setting the bar really high for other companies.

I know how hard it is to make games whether its a 2d sidescroller, A turn based JRPG or a open world AAA game. So that's why when I see people bitch about graphics and stuff it makes me hate the gaming community.

and yes I've worked on a few small video game projects before. They were the most work I've ever done on a single project. So I also empathize with developers heavily.
Yeah, any job with code normally means countless all nighters. The worst is when something "goes wrong" or something "unexpected" happens and you end up having to do a crazy amount of work.
It's even worse for these guys because they're simply on a way higher tier than any of us. They are very good at what they do which is why when there is a problem, it takes a lot of brainpower. These are people who do what is considered impossible on a day to day basis. look up what global illumination is. It is maybe THE toughest thing to render and they are doing it real time.
Bunch of spoiled/entitled brats. All the butthurt around watchdogs makes me feel this way. I think that game is awesome especially considering the fact it's not a R* game. R* has put millions if not billions into R&D for their games over the years to get where they're at. For Ubi to deliver such a great game in their first attempt at the modern day open world is quite a feat.
But at the same time, if you're making your E3 demo look like something you're not going to likely be able to achieve. Then you're only setting yourself up for criticism and disappointment.
well... when i hear "Next-Gen" my expectations are high, Ubisoft should start giving us what they promise instead of making trailer's/gameplays of something that look's somewhat *mindblowing* but trun's out *average* in the final release. there manipulating there customers into buying a product/game wich is inferior to what was shown & promised! people have the right to "bitch" in my honest opinion. but i do believe Ubisoft will deliver whats is to be expected with AC: Unity considering there mostly focusing with curren't gen (PS4/Xbox one) wich is indeed a significant difference in terms of power, graphics & capabilities.... but we'l see, it is Ubisoft.

Yeah, the 1st time watching the demo, i was like:"WOAH, that was epic"
All I have to say is (If IGN can pass this along onto the Developers), Take your time in making this. Even if that means waiting a few more months from the original release date. This game is going to be great, and even greater, if you take your time. Alot of us would love to see what happened to Desmond and the Life outside the Animus within the story. I can already see Co-op being astounding. If you have to, Look for people with some of the greatest imaginations and invite them in to share their ideas.
Lad, they've been working on Unity for a few years now. I think that the release date is good enough as it is right now :) But I agree, the more time put into the game, the better :D

I agree with you,They just make the games i bet half of them make it and never play it so they don't know the flaws in it and good things in it they should get AC fans to help them in it,tell them what should be removed from AC And what AC Should have,if they make another W_D They should REALLY Get gamers who played W_D before and tell them the goods and the bads.

agreed but they said they extra polished the e3 demo, if they need more time delay it so then ENTIRE finished product is EXACTLY like the e3 demo because it is absolutely gorgeous. Something in the back of my mind keeps telling me that the final product wont resemble the e3 demo :(.. still good but even a little graphical downgrade is disappointing because it take away from the overall immersion that so captivates me into the world of ac.
stan m assassins creeds dev teams seem to deliver what they show at e3 everytime, the only downgrade issues are with farcry and watch dogs.....hopefully
Ubisoft should do "Assassins Creed Re-mastered" and see how Venice looks with improved graphics.

Unity at least took a lot of risks, Syndicate just played it too safe. In fact, it seems Syndicate will be one of the forgettable AC games with Unity being remembered as the worst.
please ubisoft, please, do also offline coop (splitscreen), then you can play with your friends at your home, i miss the coop games that don't necessary needed internet

*Cough cough* The history nerd in me just wants to see an AC game set in ancient Greece. Walk around the sunny Mediterranean fields lined with olive trees with the Parthenon and the agora bustling with life. Explore catacombs and engage in great wars like the Peloponnesian War. AC Brotherhood was the closes I got to this dream with the underground explorations and the Pantheon and such.
Then the parkour system would not be as epic as other ACs, because at the time there aren't alot of tall buildings to climb

King Swagga I disagree I cant see it working with the main idea of the game maybe if say the creed was tricked into fighting for the wrong side but even then it would end up with a similar story to the first one. The closest i personally think you would get to something like that is say if a group of assassins broke off from the creed and went rouge and you had to hunt them down.
This is the game that convinced me to buy a PS4 in 2014. It has the greatest gameplay and graphics in the series in my opinion.

I'm a Lazy guy... But i will push this Assassin to his Parkour limits... I will scale every building ... Even the Eifel Tower.

This game further makes me proud to be French. I can personally relate to this title from the history of my own family during this time had to escape to England for a period to avoid being murdered. Definitely going to pre-order.

+sohum sikdar No, you do not need to keep upgrading. Obviously you know nothing about how computers work. A good $100-200 GPU can easily last you a console's lifetime and you can still expect far superior graphics in comparison to consoles.
How can this be a reason you stick with consoles when you don't understand the very reason itself? You can build a very nice $400 gaming PC and expect far superior visuals than consoles. Please stop deluding yourself and thinking that you have to go out and spend a ton of money for a PC. If you're so insistent on saving money, PC games are cheaper in comparison with console, and there are a lot more sales (inside and outside of Steam: look at GOG.com). You will be saving a lot more money in the long-run.
This right here, is exactly why what I love about game design. How much hard work the people at Ubisoft are doing is incredible. Also, from what I've just seen. The game looks absolutely beautiful. They're doing a wonderful job, my hats off to you! :D

Nope. Absolutely my favourite AC game.
Everyone keeps glorifying AC 2, yet if you come back and play it now you'll see how the game aged. After the glitches were fixed, Unity became the best looking, funnest to play, most diverse and most realistic game in the franchise.

they should remake AC3 and do this, with the random riots, vigilantes. and the battles for sure... but I know that they never will.
Maybe they should move on to the CIVIL WAR!!! Of all time periods, they chose the French Revolution!!! The french revolution didn't change much, Napoleon went into power and became emperor and general of France...
The civil war actually changed something, the fucking USA! They should make it so that the two main cities Washington DC and Richmond can be explored. and they should make random events and shit. you should also be able to explore other states, towns, cities. and the BATTLES should be the MOST EPIC they've ever been, especially the battle of gettysburg. That SHOULD/ NO WILL BE THE MOST EPIC BATTLE! if they ever make the fucking civil war. after this one they will probably make one on the Spanish Civil war that nobody knows about

What annoys is that some companies think that they're limited by a consoles hardware. Things like this could've been done a few years ago on a PC. No. Altair was born into the Creed, Connor didn't join because of his mother's death, it was to make sure his tribe was free and safe.
All the creed game except the first one & AC4 have there father die storyline getting a tad bit overused, personally I found AC4 too be ridiculously fun and free as well as a breath of fresh air.
In AC 1 altair was born in the brotherhood he dint had much of a choise he dad died but he was already an assasin the first game where a father dies is in ac 2 and inst just hes dad its hes brothers to with connor is his mom dies but he joins because of hes village not because of hes mom u guys should play beter your games and listen to the story

I literally just finished watching Hunchback of Notre Dame for nostalgia's sake when this game was leaked and the main thing I was excited for was climbing Notre Dame like Quasimodo. After watching the E3 trailers and seeing how they improved the parkour system, I'm even more eager to climb up and down that cathedral

JinHunter Slay Steakimus Prime Actually Napoleon did do his part during the revolution, for example he took part in the siege of Toulon's against anti-revolutionaries/ rebels and played an important part in suppressing royalist riots against the revolutionary government during the 13 Vendemiare incident.

From the first game to AC Revelation we had the original parkour that became very un-realistic by time, yet it had revolutionized climbing in games. In AC 3 and 4 we had a new one that looked far more realistic than the first one, but had some problems. Also, the combat was... not that good. And now this. Which looks like nothing I've ever seen before... And the combat looks more ''arcade''-ish and harder. You no longer press B and X to win (not sure how's that going to end up). Overall, Assassin's Creed really starts to win me back.
I totally agree after ac3 I didn't bought ac4 I found it too easy figthing the guards there was no skill to be used but now it seems a hell of a lot more fun en you will probably also need a hell of a lot more skill xD

This game series is the only one I'm excited for every year because even though the gameplay isn't mind blowingly different, the depth of the stories is what I really like. I hope they keep making games until they use every significant time period up until now.

There are time anomalies you have to jump into from time to time and one takes you to the nazi occupation in France and you can climb the Eiffel Tower on a mission so far I've seen

I'm not that fond of the assassins outfits in this game. hopefully we'll be able to buy different outfits like you can in Black Flag, I really liked some of the outfits in that game

Okay now,what about the people who can't afford a PS4/XB1 and only still has the new "last-gen",how is it going with Comet?I mean the animation fixes could be helpful a lot,I see they fixed many things,I don't need graphics to get the game good enough for me,just the gameplay itself and an open world that doesn't kill itself repeating the same thing over and over is alright.
I think they don't show comet, beaucase it will be the same as AC4 same mechanics, unity is beautiful and has a really smooth animations, i have an xbox360 and i don't have money for an xbone or ps4, so i hope Comet will be good.
