I still have no idea how people do combos this long in this game. Hitstun Decay always screws me when I try to lab out big combos, but watching combo videos it almost looks like there isn't even any hitstun decay at all.
it defo takes a while to be able to do combos like this. its mainly just knowing your character and being able to convert on certain situations. If you know what links into each other you sorta just adapt to it over the fly. at least i do
To be fair... a lot of character's special moves and drive moves are enhanced in overdrive. For Ragna, all his Soul Eater "D" related attacks have improved hitstun and new wall/ground bounce properties. As well as different recovery options. Another thing you'll see people use in their combo videos are Fatal Counters. It increases the hitstun of basically everything that follows it up while also reducing the hitstun decay by a significant amount. Allowing for routes that usually aren't available and stronger enders.
@@SnipersUpTheMex Okay I knew all of that except for fatal counters reducing hitstun decay, that is interesting and not something I've ever seen anyone mention (or the game explain) at all. That's useful to know.
@@stephenseputra9897 if you mean the combo trials I have cleared them. otherwise, im pretty sure 90% of the stuff i do isnt optimal at all. i could probably do them if i saw what people call 'optimal' though
a long way to do it is to lower the max hp to like 1% then set it back to 100% without resetting and then you should be able to see how much the combo heals you
yea ive played Ragna for quite awhile. however i do tend to Preinput the same move quite a lot due to Netplay issues to try and make sure it actually comes out

How do make so you can see how much hp ragna heals? For me it always ticks up then goes back
