Bob Seger has never gotten the recognition (and promotion) he deserves. If it was not for Kid Rock, Bob Seger might not have even been in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....the man has it all...I still sing this song....it is one of my favorites!

Bob Seger is a genius storyteller/songwriter/musician and a great guy! His music is legendary and his lyrics are profound and amazing. I know you appreciate piano music and I am certain you would love “Against the Wind”. Can’t say enough about this artist. I had the good fortune to see him live in the 1980’s. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Thanks for this awesome reaction 🌺✌️

I saw him in ‘75 when the Live Bullet craze was sweeping the midwest. Most of my friends and I had one copy on vinyl for home and one on cassette for the car. You could pretty much put any of its 4 album sides on the turntable, set the needle down wherever you like, and it was going to be a party. I like your choice (Against the Wind). For a real lower register piano-gasm, my favorite is Still The Same.
From Live Bullet, Katmandu (mentioned in the post below) Get Out of Denver, and Nutbush City Limit (an Ike & Tina Turner song) really command one’s attention. But really, the best thing to do with Live Bullet is start on Track 1 and listen to them all in order. Love his youthfulness, confidence, and rapport with the audience.
Thanks for choosing Turn the Page, Van. It’s a dandy and always will be. Such a clean recording for a live version almost 50 years ago. It was good to see you enjoying it as well.

Thank you for your reaction! You can never go wrong w/ Mr. Bob! He's such an ICON! I grew up listening to him. The 1st time I heard it, I was on the school bus, my bus driver was an old Harley Davidson rider, and the tattoo on his forearm was the 1st one I had ever seen. He made me sit on the first row because I was only like 6. I was ways a big talker so we had good conversations, I asked a lot of questions & he was so sweet & patient w/ me! Great memories! Love & peace! ❤✌🏼

    He’s got something unique
He doesn’t have to be “Showy” he is the show in a quiet way
He pulls you in yes, Ok!
    Night Moves is wonderful
But “Strut or Watch Her Strut” that’s super fun & written about a very young “Jane Fonda”

My husband was a professional musician, he did all of Seger's songs. Sounded just like him! I sure do miss hearing his voice. This is as close as I can get. He also did a lot of Kennt Roger's songs. He had thas low, gravely voice! So sexy! I miss you Danny Mabe! But you're picking with the greats in heaven!

I was a sophomore sitting in the bleachers at a high school assembly and one of our teachers sat on a folding chair in the middle of the basketball court and sang the hell out of this song with his guitar into the pa system. The best show I have ever seen in my 63 years of life was his farewell tour a few years back. When he came out on stage the entire amphitheater crowd stood up and never sat down as he played hit after hit after hit. An extraordinarily talented and humble musician who paid homage to the rock legends that night with pictures of them on the backdrop. His lyrics and music just had a way of transporting you right in the middle of the story, tugging at your heart strings for the entire journey. Who the hell is going to replace that?? I am so grateful for the music BS left us. TY Bob Seger. Great reaction, as usual.

Where was I when I first heard this song? I was in an Alaskan strip joint and one of the girls danced to it. I could tell by her dancing that the song meant something to her. I tipped her and asked her over to my table. The resulting conversation took up the rest of the night, a taxi ride, and a few hours at . . . um . . . an undisclosed location. A couple weeks later, she returned to the lower 48. To this day, whenever I hear it, "Turn the Page" is always her song.
