They do, that's why he held concerts there annually before the pandemic. Moreover, he has so many devoted fans in Japan, they set up fan clubs for him soon after his Chopin competition championship.

Where is he visiting in Japan?
This isn't from this year, but 2018. His agency hasn't released his schedule for the second half of this season, so there's no knowing if he's going to tour Japan this year.
There've been ads indicating he'll visit South Korea later this year, so concerts in Japan are a definite possibility. But with the pandemic situation changing in every country all the time, there's no guarantee.
