We all know Mr. Blechacz is in another universe when it comes to Chopin's compositions, especially the concertos, and that's why I thought it was important to reupload this video. I still get chills whenever I listen to him play Chopin's concertos, and I hope all his future fans will have the chance to experience it themselves.

Yes! It was back in 1972 I bought that LP featuring Charles Rosen in the Liszt #1 and Chopin’s #2. I bought it for the Liszt but discovered the Chopin exceed it by about a light year in soulful concept, elegiac execution and powerful melancholic verve. I respect the Liszt but absolutely adore the Chopin. Especially since I some years ago, inspired by my master musician nephew, fleshed out a Chopin etude with lyrics. I went over it earlier today as I walked that “prescient puppy” Gage. Oh, what a totally transluxent world! PWG

Larghetto to jedna z najpiękniejszych melodii jaka powstała kiedykolwiek na fortepian. Usłyszeć Mistrza Blechacza na żywo i już nic tego nie przebije. Moje marzenie.
Już po konkursie 2021, super wykonawcy. Ok. Ale.... Blechacz jest tylko jeden. Słowiańska dusza. Ideał wykonania koncertu. Ideał jest jeden. Jak ktoś tak gra, wiadomo, że to Bóg stworzył też muzykę, poprzez serca ludzi przekazując dźwięki.
Dla mnie też.
Dokładnie. Liu, Sorita, grają koncerty Chopina bardzo dobrze, ale jak się to porówna do wykonania Blechacza, to słychać niedostatki. Np. 3 część e-moll Bruce Liu, końcowe pasaże, rozmyta partia lewej ręki, gdzie u Blechacza jest wszystko pięknie zaakcentowane. Poziom wyżej.
Zaiste, żywy dowód na istnienie Boga! 😊

Mój ukochany wirtuoz. Jaka piękna dla mnie jest jego gra. Jako muzyczny laik odczuwam ją bardzo głęboko, nawet przenika do kości, a jednocześnie delikatna, z powietrzem,wyciskającym łzy. Tak gra geniusz. Mam płytę z koncertami. Chińczycy grają inaczej.

had Chopin been born in Europe only 100 years earlier, even he would not have composed as he did...

Cudowna, romantyczna muzyka, która unosi do nieba... Nie da się tego słuchać bez łez... Chyba najpiękniejsze wyznanie miłości jakie tylko człowiek mógł napisać. Kiedy tego słucham, nic nie jest w stanie mnie oderwać od muzyki, nawet śliczna twarz artysty... Delikatna słowiańska uroda i równie wrażliwa, delikatna dusza...❤
30:28-30:30, nikt nie gra partii lewej ręki tak jak Blechacz. Cudownie. Ośmielę się napisać, że jak dla mnie jeden z najlepszych pianistów naszych obecnych czasów. Mój ulubiony.
Też jestem fanem Blechacza, ale....tym razem finałowe pasaże były dalekie od ideału. Mistrz z pewnością to wie.

My favourite version of this concerto! Rafał Blechacz has made the seemingly impossible - he has delivered a performance better than that of Krystian Zimerman, who used to be the unsurpassed ideal for so many years.
Every note, every intonation, each sound in this recording is perfect and as a whole it is of haunting and smashing beauty!

It is interesting how the same piece of music, Chopin in particular, can be played by two different pianists and have very dissimilar emotional outcomes. That is not to say one is better or inferior to the other, it's just what makes a symphony. I will say it again ... I think that Chopin would have fallen in love with Ms K Buniatishvilli.

Браво, Блехач!!! Но исполнение этого концерта Алексеем Султановым в финале конкурса Шопена 1995 года тоже превосходно. Тогда польская публика аплодировала ему стоя 40минут, пока ее не попросили удалиться из зала. В октябре 2023 года на Шопеновском конкурсе в Нэшвилле был впервые вручен Гран-при Мемориала Алексея Султанова в память об ушедшем от нас в возрасте 35 лет величайшем пианисте современности.
Мне понравилось исполнение Блехача! Но 2 часть на мой взгляд у Султанова более прочувствована.Или это запись не столь качественна.Прошу прощения.
