This discussion indicates that both Barkha Dutt and Shehla Rashid experienced a major turnaround and realised that reality was way different from what they imagined. Narendra Modi has indeed changed India for the better. Even if people don't vote for him he ensures that they are provided all facilities that all citizens should have. Moreover, he is working to change the eco-system in India in a way that enables everyone to rise.

Mindset is a collection of narrative propagated by leaders, be it religious, political or literary leaders.
Common Muslim minds are hijacked by such conservative and radical leadership and those who have different opinion like APJ Abdul Kalam has castigated for being liberal and disowned as being true Muslim.
Most importantly these radicals derive their Legitimacy from religious scriptures and hence Muslims have no chance.

I am amazed at how smart and intelligent she is - hats off to her. And secondly she is right Muslims also write that their dhaba or biryani house is halal - so that Muslims wouldn't have any issues eating their meat. Also while travelling Muslims also try to have pure veg food when they don't get halal - they would also prefer Jain bhojanalayas, etc - so it shouldn't be a problem having the name of the owner - the names serve as a brand in themselves - and using a brand in a deceitful manner is also wrong

Shehla Rashid, once a fierce critics of Modi government, now finds herself navigating the difficult terrain of balancing two seemingly opposing roles-on one hand, defending the policies of the BJP government with skills that bjp’s own spokesperson lack, and on the other, trying to stay true to her progressive ideals and her true authentic self. The challenge of reconciling these two responsibilities is immense, and no one would wish to be in such a position. Yet, Shehla manages to do so with remarkable conviction and grace. One can only hope that, in time, the weight of political pressure or necessity will lift, allowing her to fully embody the ideals of a progressive society and become a true role models of intellectual courage and strength she is destined to be for her people.

She's much more educated and intelligent and could have gotten a party ticket from Congress or any other party just for trashing central government and our country, but she choose to stand for the betterment of her own people.

An excellent interview . Barkha is always great . Shehla appeared to be outspoken and frank . Change in Shehla Rashid as said by many may not be true . She was a studious and brilliant girl of India and not different from other youths of our country . In Kolkata we are acclimated with the student unrest and protest like JNU . It is very normal . But many good students and youths were killed by the security forces during the rule of Congress in our state . We can not forget those days . However , JNU students’ protests could not determine the mainstream politics of the country but remain always remarkable as part of progressive movement .

The summary of shehla Rashid and Shah Faisal U Turn is:-
There was always a major section of muslims in kashmir who thought they are Indians and with India..but they hold 370 sacred because of many other emotional kashmiris...
...these intellectuals thought that they cant outrightly reject evry demands of minority kashmiri who thinks otherway..
..And section like this exist form North Eastern state...and they thought its historical and does no harm..but benifits them.
-Now they changed because they see its too far,... and its too less to give everything for this article...while gain for kashmiri is going to come Even without this...and this might normalise and completely change kashmir..so they changed....and forgave the cruel move, while government also did lot of good things after that move ...😊

On the other hand Modi was about to arrest Shinde on corruption charges but overnight defected to the BJP. Charges forgotten and the rascal is made CM of Maharashtra. First Barkha does not bring up instances like this, and even as a mature journalist does not remind Shela that Modi was fully aware of the murders, in Gujarat riots. He did not even summon the army as in Manipur 2yrs ago.
Now she very condescendingly says, "“What caused my change of heart is the realisation that the Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi is a selfless man who is taking radical decisions to transform India". God bless Shehla Rashid. It is very difficult to see the truth at large once you give in to a religious identity and that too when it is quite Orthodox. If we can see the right or wrong in a situation , forgetting our identity as a Hindu or Muslim, that wakes up our conscience to side with the right and we can always school people to also know their wrongs in the side we take. I am very proud of the fact that you had a great Conscience to weigh the same issues at two points of time and finally even endorse the other side you were in conflict. The point to be emphasized is that we as humans are Hypocrites and only if Institutions and Society start showing the mirror to every hypocrite, the reality will strike at him and he will be aware that humanity is the religion that should bind us across other beliefs and faiths followed by us, subject to of course reasonable reasonable restrictions. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOUR HIGTENED SENSE OF DISCERNING AND your courage of identifying yourself with the Right which you believe, no matter where and how you started.
