(Still riding the Brassknuckle whenever I'm home, love it)

2000 KHS Flite 100 is probably the best steel frame bike I owned. @zachgallardo you roasted my bike on your channel Fixie Points a few years back. The KHS has a cult like following here in NYC.

LOL "al dente spaghetti looking" KHS. This was filled with good memories. So many skinny tires!

I still rock my 2010 Soecislized Globe Roll 2
Resprayed, Mks pedals, mks straps and mks cages, H+sons wheels, with gran compe ii hubs, njs nitro bars, nitro s83 post, NJs nitto 90mm stem, brooks tape, njs saddle and tape, sugino 75 crank and BB, Tange levin NJS headset.
She is shiny and runs smooth like a baby, with a old heavy Reynolds 520 frame

Just took out my 2005 TANGE 85th Anniversary carbon track frame with its ZIPP 3000 front wheel out this afternoon after a hiatus of 3 years!!

khs flite 100 was my first, and although I'm told it was basically just a kilo tt, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

One bike I rarely see any information on and I own is the 2009-2010 Specialized Roll Globe 1 fixie bike. I love mine and I feel it’s so underrated and under appreciated

Any love for the IRO mark V? Ridiculous value for the money. You’d get a Reynolds 631 frameset and sealed formula hub wheel set for less than $250 completely? Those frames have such a great ride too.

Replace the logo on any of those cannondale capo pics with those on the cinelli parallax and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Had that KHS Aerotrack for years, with a scavenged NJS fork.... it rode like my Wabi Classic, which is to say it was a fun ride. True Temper OX rides so sweet.

The Caad Track 92, had a super tight geo, and high bb. This makes them look so good, as opposed to the capo or caad 10

I had the 2008 Capo, it was a great bike. But I ended up “downgrading” to the Kilo TT for a frame that fit me better and a bike that was just more practical to beat the crap out of for daily use. I actually think I still have the capo frame somewhere that I tried to plastidip matte black. I always hated the red and white paint job.

Im currently building a fixed gear bike it has 700c wheels with 23c tyres ... Does anyone know if the tyres will be too thin and would wider tyres be better for a fixed gear

Regarding the Cannondale track bike-I had a factory new Cannondale track once upon a time, my wife's best friend growing up worked at Cannondale HQ in Connecticut (before they became a multi national) so she was able to get me one discounted. I sold it after a season-it was too twitchy for T-town, Indy and Dorais concrete velodromes, and way too harsh on the rugged streets of Southeast Michigan. I found a much better ride on a Columbus SL Guerciotti, it's ability to hold a line made for better economy of effort at speed. It was also OK for the road, I used it twice a week for recovery/social rides, as my winter machine, and sometimes with clip on bars for flat time trials. (Go ahead, do the math, I've had fixed gears in my stable nearly 40 years now)
These days I ride a modern Felt aluminum/carbon frame on the track, occasionally using it on recovery rides on the street. I understand appeal and cache of a track bike based ride, but for road use (especially if riding longer than say a couple hours), something with slacker angles, longer wheelbase and more compliance is in order. If I were in market today for a dedicated road fixed gear, one of the Wabis would be top of list for value; if I wanted something more bougie, the Rivendell Roaduno could be built up into something really plush and sparkly.

Guys, can you recommend a bike shop in Chicago, IL working on regular bikes (e.g. not hi-end)? Chum of mine who has no bike life has got an older road bike with out of true rear wheel. He has asked at some shops but they are selling bikes and their service expertise is up to level of swapping stem or replacing wheels with lighter and more expensive wheels, while he wants just to true original wheel and keep period correct look. TIA.

Dang I got really excited when I saw you were talking about the Capos but then you didn’t mention the Major Taylor (essentially the exact same bike)
I just wanted the ego stroke of seeing my custom painted Cannondale in one of your videos haha. Definitely isn’t even a super fun frame to ride. Kinda sluggish, road geo, only fits 25s. (Some say it fits 28s)

road/track bikes with backward-sloped toptubes just look bad. the toptube should be parralel to the ground or sloped forward - this gives the visual sense of power and makes it look "fast"

Track bike on road is kinda....pointless. Ride FG on road if you like (I do) but those track frames and fixie points aren't making you going farther or faster. Ride more, ride longer, ride zone 2, do climbs, do sprints, hydrate, get fueled. Have a frame bag, have bottle attachments. Have a tools, have a spare tire and patches with you. That set will carry you into and out of ride. Fixie points won't.

I realize how stupid my writing looks, especially for people who appreciate all the bling, rare or expensive stuff, fixie points and street cred.
Irony aside, change things now, not tomorrow or from Jan 1 on. Don't postpone as time flies really fast.
