15 is a shape shifter at QB. He can adjust his game to whatever the defense is giving him.

I remember after his first Super Bowl season he was asked “what did he think he could improve upon?”
he said he didn’t completely know how to read a defense..😳😳 I was like are you kidding me right now! Then I thought this kids is gonna be dangerous once he learns how to read a defense. Well now we see haha two more super bowls later .

@@SouthernPioneer1965I will continue to harp on this; his progression and incremental evolution week over week, and year over year is astounding and he has already won at the highest level with wildly varying roster compositions.
From the Tyreek Hill days of stretching defenses vertically and airing it out, to a more deliberate “take what the defense gives you” approach of nickel and diming particularly in the intermediate area of the field and now this defensive minded team that allowed (or forced at times) him to eliminate needless mistakes because he could trust the defense to get a stop and play for the next drive.

@@pristinedecision1877 💯 agree .. people keep underestimating him and the team , because they feel if he was that good they would be having blow out games.
Well they might of if they didn’t experience the WR issue this season.
But the fact each year he has been faced with some kind of adversity that has shaped him into a better QB .
So many people harp on physical talent.. it’s like they forgot about how much football is a mental game . QB intelligence..
This kids has it , he has a massive drive to succeed like no other, mixed with dedication and Andy Reid! It’s no wonder they have become so great.
I just watched the NFL mic ed up .
Mahomes is on the stage with his wife and kids. They just won the Super Bowl and he’s already saying “I want three in a row , I want one more!”

Don't forget Mahomes had arguably the greatest overall QB season ever last year too. Broke the total yards record, won regular season MVP, won the SB, and won SB MVP. Then they turn around and win the SB again, having to go through the hardest playoff road in recent memory, if not ever. No doubt 2 of the greatest seasons back to back for a QB and team.

Talking about Chiefs fans watching the game late and being like, "We're still in this". That's exactly right. Mahomes Magic has taught us to not even really sweat when we're down at the half, like even the 10 pts to the Eagles last year, because statistically still, Mahomes wins more of those games than he loses.

That dude just blew our minds with that take that the superbowl went just like their season did, first 3-4 quarters they made some mistakes couldn't break through but the defense led them, and then at the end of the game in OT they turned it on. Mind blown, that did mirror exactly what they did during the season and then the playoffs!

    • @blondefox315

It wasn’t that simple….Josh Allen and the bills were literally crying over it and fought hard to change the OT rules. Meanwhile, they should have known by then, never give the ball back to 15 with any time left, doesn’t matter that it was only 12 seconds!!! That game was wild. I will never forget it. 3-peat 2024!!!

They played badly that game due to the weather and the Chiefs defense but they weren't a bad team, especially as far as a 1st round wildcard game opponent goes.

He patiently watched and learned what Bosa's tendencies were in the first half, letting his defense keep them in the game. In the second half after his interception, he put that knowledge to work. Especially in the fourth quarter and OT and exploited Bosa's willingness to stop Pacheco in the run. Reid called the right play and Mahomes and the offense executed perfectly. Shanahan was schooled and San Fransisco's DC is out of a job. Ain't that a bitch?

I know that there is an annual argument about who is as good as Mahomes in the NFL, but heres the scoreboard right now:
    (Since 2018)
SUPERBOWL TITLES: Mahomes (3), Brady (2), Stafford (1)
    SUPERBOWLS: Mahomes (4), Brady (2), 6 tied with 1.
SUPERBOWL MVP: Mahomes (3), 3 tied with 1.
NFL MVP: Mahomes (2), Jackson (2), Rodgers (2)
DIVISION TITLES: Mahomes (6), Allen (3), Rodgers (3), Brady (3)
Mahomes is literally lapping the field since he came into the league. He's had so much more success than his contemporaries in his era, that hes being compared to CAREER stats of guys that have played 15-20-25 years. Its really wild.

  • @paythecreator4317
    @paythecreator4317 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

All 3 super bowl wins were as a result of Patrick Mahomes coming back from at least a 10 point margin. His coach likes to play if safe, keep it close and rely on Mahomes to pull every game out on the final drive. He should try to turn the offense over to Mahomes early putting him in the no huddle to allow him to call most of his own plays on the fly and get into a better rhythm. That game plan would result in Chief blow outs, not nail biter final drive wins.

Yeah. Mahomes caught 'em comin' and goin'. Charging the line of scrimmage and flipping the ball behind the linebackers, when they reacted to the scramble threat. Then, once he had 'em worried about that, he took his opportunities to scramble.
It was like he conditioned them to the ball coming out at the last moment before he crossed the line, so as he charged the line on his longest scramble, Warner was expecting the throw and had to think "coverage" and that's when Mahomes got him.
It's just amazing at how much "fail" went into setting up KC's biggest plays in the biggest moments, late in the game. Imagine holding Corn Dog with Mustard and Ketchup back until what turned out to be the last play of the last game, in overtime.
Same for that 52-yarder to Mecole, which everyone knows is a bad bet, but refraining from it all that time, just to set up the shot play. Yeah, it "should" have been an INT, but #31 was conditioned to Mahomes taking Kelce, underneath, and HE got wide open. #31 was so worried about that, he didn't look for the shot over his head until it was too late, and then he couldn't find it because it was above his line of sight, when he got his eye discipline back.

I would say Brady’s superpower is motivating/working extra w his receivers to get on the same page + processing power under pressure. Mahome’s superpower is of course off script ability + incredible off platform arm talent. If Mahomes works even more training w his receivers and works more on his throwing mechanics for when he gets older and continues to consume game film… he should be very close to 7 rings once it’s all said and done.

Mahomes super power is he has Andy Reid and Kelce. "Mahomes had an 89 QBR on plays that featured motion compared to a 29 QBR of plays without motion"
The real best QB in the NFL is a guy who does offscript plays at a level higher than Mahomes. A guy who can make plays beyond the Xs and Os that make Mahomes look pedestrian by comparison in Lamar. The only thing that has stood in his way is historically incompetent coaching where his team abandons their identity completely in playoff games compared to the Chiefs who stick to their gampelan and even commitment to running the football when trailing by 10 points. All that will change within 1-2 years because of rising scrutiny on Ravens coaches for this trend. They do it 1-2 more times and they will be fired and the MVP version of Lamar in the regular season will all of a sudden appear in the playoffs showing that Lamar has not only a true rival but one who is physically more gifted than him. One who when he loses a step 7-8 years from now it will be far better at still making off script plays than Mahomes when he loses a step because it's a much higher starting point going from 4.3/4.4 speed to 4.5 than a guy who is going to go go from 4.7/4.8 to 4.9.
