To Cats fans, from an Oilers fan, all chirping aside, this has been some of the best SCF hockey I’ve ever seen, from BOTH sides. Come Monday, should Edmonton lose, I’ll take the loss with pride and accept it, there’s always next year. Should Florida lose though, take it from the fan of a team that has had some major criticism and rock bottom spots over the last 15+ years, don’t give up on your team. They’re out there putting it all on the line. Win or lose, cheer them on.

Whichever team loses on Monday wins in the next 2 years. Edmonton need to work on defence and goaltending, Florida needs to work on defence(barely), and offence. Edmonton is the better team, has been the entire playoffs. The Cats are a good team, but the only reason they are here is Bobs. Some slight tweaks to the team in front of Bobs, and they can have it. Only reason the Oilers haven’t finished it is because of Skinner; when he’s hot, he’s hot, but he lacks consistency. The Oilers have been a comeback team all year, they could have this one. In this game, it’s impossible to call. It all comes down to one game, and I can’t wait.

The Panthers are exhausted. They spent everything they had on just getting to the SCF and in dominating the first three games. The tank is empty. If anything, Edmonton was smart to ease back the first couple of games and not blow themselves out trying to win all 4 games straight. Now they're in a position to come back from 3-0 deficit and take the Cup from a team that is too tired to fight back.

I won't blame Bobrovsky for game 6, because he was left out to dry. But I think Maurice has to at least consider Stolarz for game 7. Stolarz at least had a better save % than Bobrovsky during the regular season, and Bobrovsky has been poor combined this year and last year in the finals. Stolarz is also huge at 6'6" and could appear like a walrus covering the net.

1:34 So he would have challenged the goal that was determined to be disallowed? This is why he is not a good coach. However my main criticism of Maurice stems from him stifled the Panthers by forcing them to play 100% defense when we all know the team can be an offense powerhouse and literally outscore their opposition if allowed.

Panthers need to dig deep for GM7 - they have essentially checked out of the series at this point. But credit to the Oilers for bouncing back and not giving up. That's what makes great teams and lets face it they are the better team win or lose GM7 they have more talent offensively. The teams ability to come back in games when down and in series when down shows how dangerous they are.

Codezlol - the Oilers winning is a whole lot to do with a first class organization. Katz rebuilt the city and fought hard to build out the Ice District for the people of Edmonton and Alberta; Calgary aside. He hung out with Gretzky and the boys back in their hayday and had a vision the city politicians fought him on. Thanks to him and his business group he won, the Oilers won and the Oilers will win again on Sunday. This has little to do with the Panthers. It has everything to do with a tradition of winning and being the best at the best sport in the world, “ Hockey!” What other team sport shows the class that our NHL professionals do when they shake hands after the fat lady has sung? No other sport I’m aware of and no other team than the Oilers display this tradition, class and professionalism than the Edmonton Oilers!
