I am from NYC - KL is cleaner, safer, more fun and way better quality of life. Good value for money too. Thanks for hospitality - I always feel home in Malaysia and in general Asia. The only bad place in Asia is S Korea - small minded racists and colorists. My Malay friends and I were not denied entry into a club in Seoul. Cause we were brown skinned or something. I could have beaten up the little Korean feminine males ( I am 6'4" 120 kg MMA guy) but too old for that now at age 45. Go where you are treated best.

KL area is actually quite small, about 2mil people but, the greater KL area which is also called Klang Valley is 8+ mil people. But, this area forms almost 50% of Malaysia GDP which is US$200bn. This makes this area pretty high income at about US$25,000 - US$30,000.
So, $25,000 - $30,000 is a lot in Malaysia? 😳 I had to look it up, it seems that the GDP of Sweden is twice that of Malaysia... Which is insane... Since we are only 10 million people and Malaysia has 33,5 million... #Mindblown

Born and raised in NYC area, have lived in KL for 11 years now. You cannot really compare they are both very different and have good and bad like any other city. However, NY is a better city to live in when younger and KL is much better if a bit older I feel. Conclusion, I loved my time in NY and love my life here in KL now. Kind Regards.

one thing that westerners always fail to understand about asean tropical or middle eastern countries is that most people there don't usually spend much time while it's scorching hot outside. they go to malls or inside offices instead. that's why they don't suddenly dropping dead when heatwave happen like westerners. they know what they are doing. so don't be alarmed if it's quiet during the day
