Great ideas! Thanks. And Crafting takes time.. if you fast forwarded all your techniques to make your video 5 min, we would never see anything.

I often use gold or any other glitter, I take double sided tape, narrow or wide, and rub the glitter on,. Sometimes I make borders this way or die cut the glittered paper, tryed it on vellum, too. You just have to gently rub the glitter on until all the sticky spots are covered. Have a nice day!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I love this tutorial & inspirational because of your presentation style, and diversity of techniques/methods, products/materials/tools.
Gratefully you give ALL the info about your creations:
product, application technique, price point, all the hacks of working with the material & everything you've learned/discovered about what you're doing/using.
*Please don't think you're taking too long; it is hard to cram 15 min. or an hour into 3 minutes. You stay on topic, are easy to understand & don't drag it out so it gets boring/not fun anymore.
I really wish more content creators would present like you do.
Supposedly I have ADD/ADHD...interestingly I sat fine & watched this 2 times, back to back like an enraptured sponge.
The last card is my favorite because of the contrast, succulents are 👏 & I just spent way too much on products to try out all 12 techniques!
*Sorry this is long. After a lot of vids this is the one that's inspired me to try crafting. I really have never done any craft work at all.
I'll let you know how my foiling craft turns out!

Justine, I’m participating in your amazing 12 Days of Christmas Card Tutorials 2023 and while watching this, you reminded me I have some pretty silver Christmas themed washi tape. Going to dig it out now and make new cards. Thank you! You’ve challenged me and inspired me to use what I have and make them my own and I greatly appreciate that.

Hi, Justine! Once again a TERRIFIC n’ INFORMATIVE VIDEO! I LOVE all of your “adding gold” choices, some which were “new” to me, too! Just fun for me as I LOVE GOLD!! Such elegance to ANY project!! :-)). Another “gold addition” that I used on MY holiday cards was “gold glimmer paper or washi tape ~~glimmered”~~~that was subtle n’ simple to do yet added such a WOW! BTW, I LIKE knowing the different “steps” so they are NOT a problem for me in adding length to your videos~~~or the extra tips n’ thoughts you throw in which just adds to the explanations of your lovely creations! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’, CREATIN’ n’ “PLAYIN’”!!! :-)

Absolutely love this video and your presentation is always simple and to the point. What makes this video super special is that you’ve honed in on particular technique/product and shown us all the ways in which it can be done.
You share so much in your videos, for which I am grateful, so please never apologise for what you do, I’d be surprised if anyone complained that your videos are too long because they’re full of information and with very little woffle, even your cheerios are brief.
    Again thank you 🙏 💕
    Warm regards from Mandurah, Australia🐬🇦🇺

Justine...beautiful cards and great techniques. I just did a little hiccup, however, when you mentioned that one of the stamp sets was $38! Wow 😮 that’s a lot for one set! It doesn’t impact me personally because I just wouldn’t pay that much for 1 stamp set and I have a serious stash of stamps. I just use coupons, wait for sales or pickup some really nice stamps sets or singles that are super discounted after being discontinued. I’m not criticizing you. I know the going prices of the new or special products often from smaller sellers, (who don’t sell as much as the big names and can’t offer the lower prices or discounts) that come out every year. I just have to pass some things by until I see something that’s more in my price range. And I don’t think your video’s too long either. I know it takes a lot of time to get everything ready and shoot the video then edit, etc. You do a great job!

Can you recommend a good gold ink? I’ve tried a couple but they always look like dirty gold. ☹️

    • @justinehovey
      @justinehovey  4 ปีที่แล้ว

The best one I have so far is from Altenew but it’s still “dirty gold”. If you want a pretty gold you’ll need to do heat embossing. Inks can only take you so far.

If any of you have unwanted gold UV nail gel, don't forget you can use that too for adding a bit of sparkle - just make sure it is the non tacky top coat type. Do what you want and flash it under the UV lamp for a few seconds!
