Been a Sex Pistols fan for ages , the footage here was taken from 1980-The Great Rock n Roll Swindle(which as a previous commenter mentioned also included the jubilee boat performance) however as i haven't seen the movie in years i cant remember what the burning letters yoy asked about represented.

Yes Paul Cook the drummer got beaten up because of this song, and Johnny Rotten the singer had a bottle smashed into the side of his head and a stilletoe blade jammed into his knee. He struggled himself to hospital after the attack, and he says the first thing the nurses did was call the police. Who turned up and arrested him, on suspicion of causing affray. Tame compared to some stuff I was into...like the Clash's "Washington Bullets"...or the Dead Kennedys' satirical song "Kill the Poor"...or Poly Styrene and X Ray Spex singing "Oh bondage up yours!" That kind of punk is still happening today, it just gets no press because (you guessed it) the message is a little too pointed. For contemporary punk, check out Fucked Up, and Crystal Axis, to name just two great bands. BTW, I'd love to see you do a reaction video on Crystal Axis, my favorite of recent punk bands...hard to find their music, but a quick TH-cam search turned up a remixed version of "Black AF." (Or maybe they have songs on Soundcloud or Bandcamp?)
