      +Dillon Ainsworth Same here! Came to see what a game looks like after reading the AlphaGo news.

    • @TheMorMor
      @TheMorMor 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dillon Ainsworth AlphaGo has definetly mnot mastered the game. Alpha go was the first computer AI to beat a professional player. Although it only beat a very weak professional player.
      The gap between Fan Hui 2p (who AlphaGo played) and Lee Sedol 9p for example is huuuuuuuge.
      Even though you are a complete beginner and i have been playing for a few months the difference in strength between us is incomparable to that between Lee Sedol and Fan Hui.
      Although AlphaGo is still a big advancement for computer Go.

      Yup. Just spent 4 hours reviewing the game with a friend of mine. It was an awesome game by both "players". Allthough Lee Sedol was a bit out of shape and overconfident. Losing the lower right corner in gote was a colossal mistake that he should have been able to see.

      I have a difficult time reading out problems. After about 4 or 5 steps, I cannot remember which imaginary stones are where. This is especially true if throw-ins are involved (stones captured). I've been working on reading out life-and-death problems seriously for about 3 months now, but I think I have plateaued. I just don't have a very strong visual memory.

      Players take turns placing stones on intersections of a go-ban in attempts to gain territory both through influence and complex undermining strategy. If orthogonally connected stones of one color have no remaining liberties (additional orthogonal positions to connect to), that group is dead and removed from the board. Whoever has more territory at the end wins. Where stones haven't been placed, it is clear who controls what.

    Thanks for the great video. Interesting to see that game explained beyond my reading ability.
    BTW....I'm from NZ / UK and find your accent perfectly understandable.

    I've just started learning Go, I wish I could appreciate this game as much as other players. I still have little idea as to what is going on in this game even with commentary xD

      E Lo, what level are you?
      I can appreciate this game well, but I'm only a 1K. I am nearly there as a Shodan level armature and I can really appreciate the game. it's awesome, the subtle moves that are exchanged here..

      I think it would help to understand the level of these two masters if there was a video of a match that they had with basic level players
