Hi, Beatty: I'm planning a trip to Cyprus in July or August and I'm looking for small beach towns, either in the republic or in the north. In my research, I haven't been able to find much apart from basing myself in one of the larger towns/cities, and then day tripping to the out of the way beaches. Do you know of any smaller beach towns that also have accomodation? I'm a pretty basic traveler, so I don't need anything fancy. Thanking you in advance (if you see this)...
The lovely island of Cyprus, I have been there 6 times, stayed in Paphos and Limassoll, Toured all of the island, the people, food, wine, music, all super. I took a ferry from Limassoll to visit Israel 3 times. Warm hello from Finland. Efkaristo.
Cyprus is a very nice and clean place, and if I want to spend a good time I would go to Cyprus + the people are very social, the food always fresh, the weather is perfect.

A clean place? Do you need new glasses? I saw dirt everywhere. Between new luxury buildings, there were old ruins and garbage dumps. Not a nice sight at all.
I love Cyprus (especially Paphos Coral bay) it’s a beautiful place lovely beaches & the people are so welcoming and friendly and the food is something else (kleftiko & Moussaka) especially & it holds a special place in my heart as it’s my moms resting place 🙏🏼 she loved it that much that’s where she wanted to be when she passed 😢💕

Cyprus = Greeks Kipros = Elliniki Cypre = Grecs This is one of the wonder of the Mediterrania, Cyprus truly beautiful with its long history n natural heaven it has. It is unfortunate the northern part is still under occupation of foreigner deemed to breed itself. As of the southern, the northern part also has many beautiful sights with rich Hellenic Roman Venetian heritage which were still accessible before the invasion. Anyway, still hope I can come to Cyprus myself to enjoy its wonder for forever n ever. To my indefinite beloved Greece n Cyprus.....YAMAS !

Also, which areas suffered the greatest amount of damage to their churches and monasteries? Also, in which areas did the Turkish army imprison innocent women and children and how many are they still holding in their dungeons?

In my international school in Saudi Arabia, I would say there are roughly around 20 people from Cyprus and from them I have heard so many amazing things about Cyprus and they are all so extremely nice people. I really wanna visit Cyprus. Although is it a typical tourist country or is not, because I wanna know about the quality of Hotels, Transport, communication and services and tourist sites there.and at what time of the year would it be best to visit. Anyone from Cyprus here I would appreciate it if you would reply :)
I bought a place in Torrevieja Spain in 1999 . Almost straight away I was being broken into and all my guests were targeted.i had to sell up and get away Spain is full of thieves .I found a nice place near Tala in 2006 since its been perfect no problems people nice no breakins .i recommend Cyprus above Spain.
So many transitions it hurts my brain. Lomger captures with less transitions in music and limiting the number of stills would be ideal. I couod barely watch for 2 minutes without my eyes hurting.
+tarny11 Geographical they are divided and the border is called 'green line' which is in connotations that in the southern part is belong to the predominantly greek nationality (the greek language is official language) and it is the same situation in the northern part. Of course that there are lot of mixtures about the building heritages (very mixtures influences were happened historically, The Byzantine empire, The Ottoman empire...you can read it online if you are interesting in it) but they have problem about the religion, nationality, the territory etc. I suppose that you are not from the south-east Europe in order to understand that kind of political problems in this areas nowdays.
My parents country Cprus has some nice places like Trodos and Arkarmas peninsula and some impressive history but doesn't match the natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand
I’ve visit Cyprus for two weeks last year, but will very likely never return. Everywhere I went I met russians sprawling about with the arrogant, newly rich attitude: they are everywhere and very dominant. My impression was that their wealth was not from honest toil but criminal enterprise. I could be wrong but criminals send off a certain scent. And there are russians everywhere on Cyprus: loud and many unpleasent. Secondly, among the (mafia) luxury buildings, there are dirty, derelict ruins full of garbage and dirt: this makes an unpleasent atmosphere, and a citiscape of neglect and poor planning. Don’t visit Cyprus if you dislike garbage. The beaches in Limassol wasn’t much to brag about either. The new marine area looks nice, but basically that’s a front. PS I stayed in an affluent area of Limassol, and everywhere I saw half starving stray cats full of desease and pain; nobody cared at all. I spoke to a local veterinary clinic and they said it’s the same all over Cyprus. Some people I met in a convenience store told me they tried to provide care for some of the strays but said people just don’t care at all. It certainly added to the dirty, uncaring impression of neglect in Cyprus. It’s not what they show you in tourist brochures, but the reality of Cyprus. My general impression was very poor and I do not recommend it to anyone. There are many better places in the Mediterranian, with much fewer russian criminals and half starving cats.

The film is not biased at all. Its just that you are ignorant. Did you expect the RoC government to fund a clip advertising the side of the country that is occupied by Turkish military?
And btw Kibris, Cyprus and Κύπρος are the same thing. Too bad they didn't tell you when they were giving you a fake deed and title of property!

In my international school in Saudi Arabia, I would say there are roughly around 20 people from Cyprus and from them I have heard so many amazing things about Cyprus and they are all so extremely nice people. I really wanna visit Cyprus. Although is it a typical tourist country or is not, because I wanna know about the quality of Hotels, Transport, communication and services and tourist sites there.and at what time of the year would it be best to visit. Anyone from Cyprus here I would appreciate it if you would reply :)

I bought a place in Torrevieja Spain in 1999 . Almost straight away I was being broken into and all my guests were targeted.i had to sell up and get away Spain is full of thieves .I found a nice place near Tala in 2006 since its been perfect no problems people nice no breakins .i recommend Cyprus above Spain.

So many transitions it hurts my brain. Lomger captures with less transitions in music and limiting the number of stills would be ideal. I couod barely watch for 2 minutes without my eyes hurting.

+tarny11 Geographical they are divided and the border is called 'green line' which is in connotations that in the southern part is belong to the predominantly greek nationality (the greek language is official language) and it is the same situation in the northern part. Of course that there are lot of mixtures about the building heritages (very mixtures influences were happened historically, The Byzantine empire, The Ottoman empire...you can read it online if you are interesting in it) but they have problem about the religion, nationality, the territory etc. I suppose that you are not from the south-east Europe in order to understand that kind of political problems in this areas nowdays.

My parents country Cprus has some nice places like Trodos and Arkarmas peninsula and some impressive history but doesn't match the natural beauty of Australia and New Zealand

I’ve visit Cyprus for two weeks last year, but will very likely never return. Everywhere I went I met russians sprawling about with the arrogant, newly rich attitude: they are everywhere and very dominant. My impression was that their wealth was not from honest toil but criminal enterprise. I could be wrong but criminals send off a certain scent. And there are russians everywhere on Cyprus: loud and many unpleasent. Secondly, among the (mafia) luxury buildings, there are dirty, derelict ruins full of garbage and dirt: this makes an unpleasent atmosphere, and a citiscape of neglect and poor planning. Don’t visit Cyprus if you dislike garbage. The beaches in Limassol wasn’t much to brag about either. The new marine area looks nice, but basically that’s a front.
PS I stayed in an affluent area of Limassol, and everywhere I saw half starving stray cats full of desease and pain; nobody cared at all. I spoke to a local veterinary clinic and they said it’s the same all over Cyprus. Some people I met in a convenience store told me they tried to provide care for some of the strays but said people just don’t care at all. It certainly added to the dirty, uncaring impression of neglect in Cyprus. It’s not what they show you in tourist brochures, but the reality of Cyprus. My general impression was very poor and I do not recommend it to anyone. There are many better places in the Mediterranian, with much fewer russian criminals and half starving cats.
