  • In today’s video, I’m sharing a deeply personal and emotional update about my third Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). I dive into the emotional rollercoaster of my latest FET and what it means to hold onto hope amidst the challenges of infertility.
About a month ago, I underwent my third FET. This cycle was particularly significant because it used the remaining embryos from my previous rounds of IVF. Balancing hope and realism is one of the toughest aspects of going through IVF and it was yet another challenge as I went into my embryo transfer. On one hand, you want to remain hopeful and positive, but on the other hand, I felt the need to protect your heart in case things don’t go as planned. The longer version captures the essence of this balancing act and the emotional struggles that came with infertility.
For those of you who have been through losses and failed transfers, I am sending you so much love and light. We are so strong, because we are already mothers. We are just being prepared for something greater than ourselves.💗
    About me ❤
My name is Hellynn and I live in the US, but I've traveled to Korea (where I'm from) to undergo multiple rounds of IVF. Being 40+ and trying to bring children into the world is hard, but I also have a condition called diminished ovarian reserve, so I've done back-to-back IVF egg retrievals and now have moved onto transfers after banking some embryos.
Navigating this world of infertility is definitely a challenge - a million new acronyms, hormones and protocols to learn - it's a lot. So I thought I'd just talk about everything I've been learning for the women out there who have had similar struggles. I'm also happy to share info with anyone who is interested in traveling to Korea for IVF, since it's much more cost efficient + high success rates here.
I am treating this channel as my diary, talking about the ups and downs of my journey to motherhood so that one day, hopefully, my babies will see how they were created... with fierce, enduring strength and love.
I hope you find my videos helpful - thanks for stopping by.

Dear Hellynn, thank you for sharing your story with us. I really appreciate the honesty and pureness as well as positivity in your videos. What you just described, this "balancing act" has definitely been the major emotional and mental state i have been in the past year.
I also just wrapped up my 4th transfer with a negative. Fighting a similar battle with DOR, low amh, high FSH, hashimoto, RIF and MFI all together (we live with our abbreviations😂) and already used 6 of our 7 precious 5th day blastos retrieved in 3 rounds...
I dont remember ever commenting on anything on this subject online, but this video, after having my results two days ago, has just felt like you warmly held my hand. I am definitely grieving, but at the same time i feel myself determined to start giving myself and my life more grace. First day felt like a HUGE defeat and as if i will never find the courage to start over. Now i feel somehow stronger and peaceful again. I have no doubt that you will also find that power in you!

@@hellynn_j Thank you for your quick reply! I have just watched some other videos of yours and have so many questions :D
As anyone who is so deep in their ivf journey, i also am reading a lot about lifestyle and diet changes. In one video, you mention you have been avoiding gluten in your diet besides some other things (For instance rice! Why did you choose to cut rice off, because of high level of pollutents it collects?). So i am curious what is the reason behinf for cutting gluten off? I have recently read an article about Coeliac disease being a possible explanation for repeated implantation failure. Do you have a similar particular condition? I might also seriously consider going gluten-free even though it would make my daily life quite challenging...

Oh Hellynn I’m so sorry. IVF is such a rough thing to go through and it can feel so exhausting and it's natural to question why me and how do I keep going. I had asked that myself during my journey. You got this girl!!! ❤❤❤

Don't get discouraged. You can still be a mother if you want to be. There are many options, try retrieving again, use donar egg even from family so they can be related to you biologically, or adopt. Either way, you can be a mom. ❤️❤️❤️ You've disappointed no one, I was sad to hear you say that. I'll be praying for you 😊🙏🏽

Thanks for the encouragement. I will take it one step at a time.. for now, I will stick to own eggs and then think about the next step later. I know I can be a mom, I have faith. Thank you for your prayers ❤
