With regards to the pricing, it’s done on the day of filming and not the day of posting. These take too long to film, edit and upload in time for 6pm but I’ve been following the prices all year and if they aren’t exactly the same, they will be very soon, hope you all enjoy this new style of video! This is part of a 4 part series coming every Wednesday! Best under £40 next week!
CONGRATULATIONS on 1st big step. Fully deserved. Well done ☄️🥳🥳🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
Thanks so much!!
Yeah these are all solid drams for the price. Real bang for buck whiskies, especially the Bunna and the WT 101. Cheers Ash!
The bunna for £25 is such a steal! Cheers Sertug 🥃
€37 for the Bunna here and worth the price. Nice list
Thanks Gert
So cheap for the Bunna.
Great review as well.
Recently I got a Tamnavulin Port Wine Cask Edition for $24, wich is quite nice. A budget sherry bomb actually. Not a complex whisky, but holds its ground. The best of those 6 I've tried so far.
Yesterday I tried to mix it with Finlaggan Batch Strength 50%, and Bunnahabhain Mòine, separate. I must say, that was truly delicious 😋
I can't say the exact mix rate, but probably between 90-95% Tamnavulin and 5-10% of either Finlaggan or Bunnahabhain. 🤗
Interesting! I would imagine adding a touch of the peat would reduce any ethanol flavour in the youthful spirit too so you get all that fruitiness from the port cask whilst also reducing its youth and adding a touch of earthy peat. It makes so much sense doing that with affordable whiskies, great idea!
I’ve not had the tamnavulins but I’ve seen they have a large range of cask finishes and always for a great price so maybe I’ll try a sample pack in the future!
Nice selection !
I would add Connemara and Arran Barrel reserve
Ooh nice picks! I need to try a few more arrans, thanks!
Cutty Sark Prohibition is a jolly good one as well.
I believe so, I really need to try that one!
Bunna rarely misses ... Cheers!
Very true, thanks for stopping by!
You were right to nag me about Black Bottle...
And after your review and many other people’s comments lately, I will pick up a bottle of the cutty sark prohibition later this year, sounds a great one for the money! In a world of ever increasing prices, it’s always good to have a few solid budget picks on the shelf
