You may have amp sim, but not necessarily cab sim. Can come in really handy. Also, so can the IR loader.

Hello. Can you add bypass mode in one of selected patch by deliberately delete 1 of the patch?
Like you delete patch 01 and let it empty while other patch is keep as is

does the pedal effect only work on xlr output? (to connect to the sound system) Or can I use the effect on my bass amp? (but not using the xlr cable)

Hello, sorry for missing out the question. This is an IR loader and allows you to load 3rd party IR beyond only CABS. Also that you have an AMP simulator in your MFX doesn't mean that uses IR's.
