One thing I like in songs is when instruments play different parts on both left and right sides whenever you're wearing headphones. This song is the best example of that (see 0:42 & 2:28 and wear headphones). However, there is much more to this. This instrumental just overwhelms you with sound sometimes, which I feel was the point. It makes it very intense. I find it unique that 1:30 only has the "left guitar" playing and the drums are much calmer, contrast to 0:25. Makes sense as 0:25 talks about her waking up late from a dream and perhaps she's panicking, and 1:30 talks about an "inevitable goodbye", leaving her with an empty feeling and so the instrumental tries to convey that. I love the part at 1:46, Yuki's fast lines paired with the instrumental makes it very unique in the song. The part right after (2:03) gives me chills, the transition from a fast and tense part almost instantly to this slow, more calm part really hits for me. [Edit: I have realized something. The guitars are much more split to the left and right than other songs. It's like the instrumental is trying to piece itself together, and thus, it's "An image in the making".] An overall great work.
I love it too but when all the wireless earbuds in the house have one faulty ear, and wired one (the only working one) is really buggy and doesn’t work 99% of the time, it’s just sad.

@@vevan99 I think you should listen closer. There are subtle details between verses, which you'll surely appreciate. Of course, it's all generally similar, but that's all music. In the end, a good instrumental is an instrumental which sounds good, regardeless of if it is varied or not.
