The ump actually plays pretty well into castles playstyle. Using his barricades to block lines of sight and using his shotgun to make super long lines of sight allows the ump to perform super well because of the 1.5 and low recoil
The only thing that castle has over azami with versatility is that he can rotate his barricades, not that it is really needed when azami gets 5 barriers over time
To quickly sum it up: Shotgun our a rotate and headholes in the wall between bedroom and gym, castle off gym, bedroom and construction windows, and place the last one wherever your teammates like. Place a bulletproof cam on a pillar next to the bedroom bomb. Reinforce bathroom walls. Have a teammare play in server and pick off attackers trying to break the windows. As castle you sit on your bulletproof cam and EMP drones that get into the bombsite. The cam has view on the stair entry, entire bedroom and most of the gym because of headholes. It's also good to have a kaid to electrify bathroom and outer walls, because if bathroom wall is breached, it's over for you. If the attackers go into the bombsite and don't know you're in bathroom, you can use your camera to get intel on them and take them out. If it got this far, you'll probably die in the process, but if everything went according to plan, you'll have only 45-30 seconds on the clock and man advantage, which is a won round.
Aruni could also be compared with these two. My friends and I love playing with both a Castle and an Aruni to soak up all of the attackers’ utility in a round.
I will say, the biggest difference between castle and azami is how you use them. Castle you set up and force attackers to react to your utility and it waste more time. Azami you get to react to the attackers. I will say there are a good bit of castle starts that you only need two or three players for. And a lot of the time the best way to use castle is to extend the site. Room A is not a great defensive point but room B is, lets put castles up so we can hold from room B and increase the viability of this site. Also Castle and Oryx pair well together especially if you have hatches in the site. If he can avoid breaking down door but still rotate back to site it can create a lot of problems for attackers.
Pls do a how to play castel vidio and show some of your strats you use. Can you do this for Azami to? Because I love playing both operators but sometimes I dont feel good on my main strats.

Yeah azami is great for streamers, pro players and making montage video but the truth is that in the median ELO, 90% of kiba are anecdotal if not completely useless. They really only have high value with very 'big brain' angles you have to spend hours learning for each maps.

I Solo stack as castle mostly been trying to find great strats as a solo que, mostly the maze plan or site extension is best for low to plat elo
