You probably know this but don’t let your filter freeze, it can damage the fibers and it won’t filter properly but there’s no way to tell so you’ll have to throw it out
now that would be a great sub on the trail could definitely use the fat after a long hike. they are awful right now but they always mean god fishing so its bitter sweet. My next video featured many of them 😂
Had a good chuckle at the way that casserole rolled out the bag haha. Thanks for the great content. Been watching your videos all the way from Scotland, psyching myself up for a fishing trip with my dad.
For an easy bag meal try stuffing, some potato flakes, and a pouch of gravy mix. Everything goes in the bag beforehand, just add hot water and a pouch of chicken! Scouts loved it. Trash in the empty bag hen your done.
Same thing happened to me with my hunting boots one time. The only difference was that mine only ripped half way back. Took my hoodie string and rapped it around the sole and the top of the boot.
Omg!! I loved all your videos in past and this one is the best. It taught us all how it’s like when you’re out there in the woods and streams. Sometimes you win , sometimes you lose. But I wouldn’t count your adventure as a loss. Not in a million years. GreAt job of gettin away from people. That’s not a bad thing. And you orchestrated a nice dinner of two. Love your videos. Hope to see you keep on producing them. You’re a good guy. I know.
Walked the sole off my boots last year after about a 1/2 mile into a 2 mile hike into a river. Never even got the chance to wet a line that day but I did end up with a reason to buy a new pair.
Good morning, I enjoy your videos a lot. Quality editing, great fishing! Congrats on full time YT. I will be purchasing some flies to help support your hard efforts!
It's nice to see a video where you didn't catch a lot of fish to show what the average fisherman goes through day in and day out. It doesn't always work in our favor without the right conditions.
No its not. I do that here because just beyond that spot is a gate so no one can access it anyway. This was during mud season where they close many of the back roads until May so they dont get ripped up and none gets stuck
Fishing is often disappointing. If you depend on it to keep you from starving to death you'll be disappointed every time. It's easier to bag a land animal.
Thank you for the video, really inspiring. I think I'd like to try the stroganoff but just use biltong ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biltong ) instead of jerky.

Honestly, I dont know how you dont have more subs. You're content and editing are awesome. Keep it up!
Appreciate it Luke. I'm sure it will get there one-day. Plenty more to come!
I agree with Luke 100%
I agree!

The Best Meal Of Your Trip....
Classic whitetail trout bleat at 5:02
I love stuffing..Looks good.. be good with some cranberry sauce or adding some dried cranberrys

Definitely a good point, I got a bit worried about it freezing that night I think its fine but luckily they are cheap
@@MainelyOutDoors it’s really the only drawback but it’s easily preventable and you’re right they are cheap to replace
Lots to like -- scenery, time-lapse, background music, movie-star looks and voice, socks. 13:15
Add a bunch of dried cranberries to that back pack meal and it would be even better!
Thats a great Idea! Thanks for mentioning that could definitely use some fruit or veggies
Two tubes of shoe goo and those are good to go.
Substitute that chicken with spam for a real downeast kicker!
Was up off the studmill road last weekend, fishing was excellent and the bugs were bad!
Yes!!!

@@MainelyOutDoors I came home looking like I contracted monkey pox😀
Haha ya I had a pair of wading boots fall apart on my like that couple years ago. Couple to many miles through the woods I guess.

Funny I did something similar in the next video. I’ll be sure to give that a try some time
Hey do you ever fish with like worms or lures or something also you should make a truck cap camper brook trout fishing video
Some times but I've always really liked the fly rod.
Oh and I'll be going out for some brook trout soon!
Same thing happened to me with my hunting boots one time. The only difference was that mine only ripped half way back. Took my hoodie string and rapped it around the sole and the top of the boot.
Another great video 👍🏼👊🏼🦖🍺
Thanks!
I gotta get up to Maine and get my salmon on. Nice Video
Definitely worth a trip
Great job on the editing as always. Stinks your boots fell apart. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks Kevin! It dose but i've put some hard miles on them so i dont mind. Got a new pare and they are much better!

Thanks for the kind words Jim. Absolutely! All part of fishing really. Just makes the better days all the more rewarding.

That was my view on it! I have a hard time to justify getting new gear till I absolutely destroy the old gear.
@@MainelyOutDoors Yes, but when I do, I take the opportunity to not only replace but to upgrade as well.

Once again, nicely done
Thanks Joe!
Lost my sole, love , nice video Jessie

That recipe looks great! I’ll be trying that out soon.
Love your channel! I am always stoked to see that you have posted a new video!
Glad you enjoy it! Hope to have the next one out soon. Plenty more fish in that one 😂

for sure its all part of fishing. Makes the days that work out all the more rewarding
I live in South Portland Maine, curious what a part of Maine you normal fish and camp?
Congratulations on doing this full time!
Thanks Sally!
Love your channel! Is there a reason why you park in the road while you camp?
Thanks! There is a gate closed just up the road during mud season. so no one can travel it anyway.
I notice that you often park for the night in the middle of the road. Is that a common practice in the backwoods of Maine?
No its not. I do that here because just beyond that spot is a gate so no one can access it anyway. This was during mud season where they close many of the back roads until May so they dont get ripped up and none gets stuck
..cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…
Thanks for watching! Next one should be out soon
@@MainelyOutDoors Thank you very mutch... have a nice Weekend.... see you….
Damn that stuffing looked pretty good! Let me guess, did you buy the patagucci danner riversalt boots? lol keep it up man!
It was! hahah naw I went with LL beans. Just about they only place I could find them that I could get them shipped before June.
Did not get notified......
Strange. This one definitely underperformed. Dont think the algorithm pushed it very much.
