No TikTok user has fourteen and a half minutes of attention span!

I just looked up the stats, and the average visit is just over eight minutes.

This is why TH-cam is so popular with the world...the ridiculous amount of narratives on here....videos that spew lies and deception with click baiting etc... as well as adverts with exactly what this guest Mark is saying here...and how youtube pushes the ads for such tic toc nonsense as well as "save the starving gaza children"...then you start to question who is actually behind this??? Thanks for the info and video! Very interesting and thought provoking re this social media frenzy!

In case someone has never had the good fortune of having dealings with Naval Personnel...
NAVAL INTELLIGENCE IS *NOT* AN OXYMORON
Americans should know how many dedicated, brilliant, and even gifted - people work in the military.

If any adult watched a few minutes of Tik-Tok content, they would get a clear sense of the pro-Chinese bias presented there. The ability to surreptitiously influence minds is immeasurable.

Mr Montgomery, I'd like to hear a better or maybe a more detailed explanation of how access to user data is a national security threat.
I don't use tiktok but I do use Chinese drones. They are by far the best and in many cases the only drones available for a particular application. They also happen to cost less than half of inferior, American alternatives.
How is me using my DJI drones a national security threat?

Do your DJI drones routinely connect to servers and transfer data on you to those servers?

I assume you mean Chinese servers in China?
I use a California company called airdata to store flight data so I connect to their server and upload. I use another company called Litchi which creates waypoint flight paths, so I connect to them. I'm not sure but I think the developer may be in Hong Kong.
I used to be able to upload flight logs to DJI servers in the US but several months ago they stopped providing that service.
I think the only time I would connect to a DJI server would be for a firmware update or a geoffense update. Both of these things are optional.
In addition to that, the newer models have a setting where the drone literally never connects to a network. I guess it's kind of like Airplane mode for a phone.
The older models used to utilize somebody's phone or tablet to run the flight control app and to serve as a monitor. The newer ones have a built-in monitor that runs the app.
Even if somebody were using their phone connected to the drone controller and even if China could download personal information, how would that be a national security threat?

So China will see teenage girls dancing and young guys falling off their skateboards.
Now I see the danger, why was this allowed to go on for so long?

@@pavelhromadka658 Well there lies the rub doesn't it?
The US govt., with the mandate of its citizens, is the only country claiming freedom of speech and democracy as reasons to destabilise sovereign countries. So when the same methods are conducted on its soil, challenging preconceived notions of how its hegemon status came to be, now people like Mark montgomery here is crying foul?
Does the stench of hypocrisy not seem odious?

WOW, so many American talking points!
Seems strange, I keep on hearing how backwoods and far behind in technology China is but America keeps on trying to block Chinese technology.

    • @dichebach
      @dichebach 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Apparently you missed the part where the technology is perfectly lovely as long as it is NOT controlled by the Chinese Communist Party? Most Americans, including most in the American defense sectors, have absolutely NOTHING against China, Chinese language, Chinese culture, Chinese people, or Chinese nations. We have a problem with totalitarians whose goals are to undermine American freedom, liberty and security and we will not be happy until those totalitarian powers no longer control anything Chinese.
Assuming you are a proponent for the Totalitarians known as the Chinese Communist Party, i.e., the minuscule fraction of Chinese people who maintain complete control and authority over the vast majority, prepare yourself for the worst five years in living memory starting 20 Jan 2025. Trump is coming for you.
