I love how Gus is first seen in the background in both BB and BCS. It perfectly fits his ability to blend in so well.
Nice interpretation.
If you want to see Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy's actor) beat people up like John Wick, I really recommend the film Nobody. It's really great.
Seconded! Nobody is a great movie!!
i try to convince myself it's canon every time.
Great fucking film
@@7kortos7 Nobody and John Wick are actually in the same universe.
@@newera478 A crossover would be epic!
francesca gus and victor being introduced in a single episode is so cool
Honestly, I'm Team Hamlindigo. My guy ultimately just wants to keep his firm running strong, but he gets caught in the crossfire of Chuck and Jimmy's escalating family drama.
Hell yeah! Love me some Howard Hamlin.
seriously, Howard is a good dude at the end of the night. Blows my mind that so many people don't like him like, why try to compare him to Leopold and or Loeb you know?
With a team name like Hamlindigo, how could you NOT want to join? 😆
@@MrHartApart In the universe where a HS chem teacher becomes a meth kingpin for their mid-life crisis, Howard's definitely coming away clean. Most unfair thing he ever did in the series was probably when he punished Kim for losing the delusional Kettlemans in Season 1.
@@MrHartApart”blows my mind” I see what you did there
You didn’t recognize Victor?? The man who had his neck cut by Gus in the lab
The way this season went, I really believe Michael McKean should've won an Emmy for his portrayal of Chuck.
And HE gets snubbed? What a sick joke!
@@MichalArchangelo Dis chicanery?
This episode actually gives us 3 characters from Breaking Bad.. Francesca, Gus and Victor.
Don't know if you caught Francesca is Saul's receptionist in Breaking Bad. Seeing her here as the bright friendly positive go getter as opposed to the bitter scowling she witch in BB is reminder of how (as likable as Jimmy is) he drags everyone around him down.
It didn’t look like she recognized Victor either lol
It's slipping Jimmy who brings down everyone around him. Your regular Jimmy is actually a decent person.
it's not a bald cap, Gene has Bob Odenkirk's real hair... he wears a hair piece as younger Jimmy/Saul
So does Gene have white hair and we never see it, or does Bob Odenkirk dye his hair as Gene? Even in black and white, we should be able to tell, right?
One thing BB and BCS do well is the “a character is doing something complex, but I don’t know what or why” scene that keeps the tension and interest of the audience with a consistently effective payoff
if you take the first letter of all the season 2 episode names, it's an anagram for "Fring's Back"
Gus wasnt keeping an eye on Mike originally, he's been plotting against/spying on Hector for years if not decades after the poolside murder of his partner. His men noticed Mike tailing/messing with the Salamanca shipments, not to mention his "fight" with Tuco. Thats what got Mike on Gus's radar, and why he was being tracked.
If you are alert, you see Gus’ Volvo long before they show you the Los Pollos Hermanos sign, as the guy Mike was following walks into the restaurant.
YESSS! You start on Season 3, this show get BETTER and better each season, I have no idea how they actually are this good at making a show :o
I love how they made Mike and Sauls "partnership" very slow and natural
Yes and how and why they alter it for BB. Great writing.
I was always a bit confused what the deal with those two where exactly, but BCS really helped clear it up
The whole Mike-Saul relationship in BB was always a little confusing in hindsight, considering that Mike works for a major drug dealer and has no reason to be doing piddly PI work on the side. I love that the justification given in BCS is essentially that the two of them have been doing pro bono work for each other for years, and that their relationship predates Mike's employment with Gus.
The actor that plays Chuck really turned it up to 11
33:04 "How does she get her hair like that?!" Vulture once wrote an entire-ass article about Kim Wexler's hair. lol
"The Television Academy does not currently give an Emmy to the Most Outstanding Ponytail in a Scripted Series. But if it did, the winner would undeniably be the magnificent, single ringlet that frequently swings from the head of Kim Wexler."
24:50 “that side? I think you’re a little crooked. The bottom of the M there” maybe it is a little on the nose, but I never noticed the subtext behind that line. Jimmy’s face 😭 Season 3 is maybe the best individual season of this show, I find myself revisiting it often
It's such masterful foreshadowing, isn't it?
In one of the most clever Easter Eggs ever, if you take the first letter of each episode in season 2 and rearrange them, you get "FRING'S BACK"
Having watched this in real time during its initial broadcast, and knowing what's coming, it's fun watching your reactions with guesswork about what's going to happen. So many shocking surprises to come and I'll be watching every post of ypurs.
Dropping this on the 7 year anniversary of the season 3 finale is crazy. Well, crazy that its been 7 years too.
nobody remembers francesca when she gets reintroduced :c
I think it's her attitude. There's a 180 degree shift compared to how she is in "Breaking Bad".
So weird
@@christophermcbride2522 yeah makes sense, my mom didn't remember her either lmao
In BB Jimmy had been trying to hit on her, which doesn’t make sense in BCS.
@@CallOfCutie69 SPOILERS
in bb Jimmy was divorced from kim and became an ultra corrupted version of himself, obviously in bcs he wouldn't do that, he wasn't Broken yet
My very favorite show. This season is a major point-of-no-return.
I love how excited you were when you began to figure out it was Gus who was having him tailed. Time for another badass season. This ones gonna be fire 🔥 😉
The Return of BCS is back! Let's freakin go!!!!
I know I've been waiting for so long!!!
You're god damn right
Well done, VK! I have watched dozens of reactions to 'Better Call Saul' and you are the only one who managed to call out the 'Gus connection' (in Season Three, Episode Two) before it was actually revealed.
In general, it might help if you recall that Chuck blames Jimmy for their father's death, which is the _core reason_ he has adopted a negative attitude toward him. Their relation is both supportive and toxic (in both directions), so neither of them is blameless in this. Like most family relationships there are two sides. But no one understands Jimmy better than Chuck, and the same is true in the reverse direction. In other words, I'd not be too hasty in putting all the blame on Chuck. In reality, it is more like 50-50.
FINALLY. Tbh I'm kinda pissed at the editors for taking so long to release this. Not trying to diss y'all, I say this with love; but these videos are real fun and it's more than merely upsetting to have had to wait for this.
The first letter in each episode of season 2 is an anagram. When you rearrange them it forms the words "Frings Back". The producers did that on purpose, and where pleasantly suprised when fans figured it out!
35:39 he's rolling the tape like his brother taught him.
You gotta watch Bob Odenkirk again in Nobody with a end credit scene 👌.
I think the reason why Jimmy gave the young man away to the police in the first clip is because he was too afraid for the police to take a closer look on him (since Saul Goodman is wanted internationally). The police came a bit too close for his taste. That's why he passed out from stress.
Menu:
Combo 1: a smug, responsible mature man.
Combo 2: a funny, street wise delinquent.
He swapped the gps because he knew they’d notice, come back, replace it with their own and take his gps with them, allowing him to track them. Mike being clever af like usual. Or something like that. I've seen t his episode like 5 times and I'm pretty sure Mike obviously got his own tracker to test out how the monitor worked and then used that to track the guy, which is how it was waiting for him with the cellphone on the road.
An easter egg from season 2, setting up Gus's return, take the first letter from each episodes name, and its a word jumble that you can rearrange to FRINGS BACK.
FINALLY. I thought you were never going to post this. MORE Saul please
2:53 "He's giving the kid advice that he's entitled to."
*Yankee Doodle starts playing
"Hi, I'm Saul Goodman. Did you know that you have rights? Constitution says you do, and so do I."
6:21 I wouldn't be laughing at that. Judges can be just as crooked as lawyers. Why is Gus tracking Mike? Mike is trying to find a way to get back at Hector but .... if you remember from BB, Gus has a personal axe to grind with Hector and does not want Mike interfering with it.
well she would have found this out in due time...smh
Since you now know about Gus, The first letter of each episode title for Season 2 forms an anagram.
Switch

FRINGS BACK
The first two seasons are merely the starters. This season is where the show starts getting real good.
You are one of the most thoughtful reactors... I learn from you.
I lpve how you're falling to Jimmy's spell. By this time you know what will happen (the white and black flashforward) but you're so invested in the current time that you want those events not to happen XD
Chuck has a superiority complex therefore he judges everyone (especially his brother) to his own standards. He believes in the rules and since he worked very hard to achieve success all must do the same. He resents his brother for having it easy and for being rewarded for breaking the rules.
like jimmy doesn't have one too lmao
100% Ride Or Die Team Chuck.
I aint drinking the Jimmy kool aid
This is one of the best BCS seasons and it has maybe the 2nd best episode of the series. The 1st one is in the last season. Prepare yourself when you get to an episode named "CHICANERY"
Can't wait for the Lalo introduction
1:45 That’s actually his real hair lmao
YES better call Saul is back!
I'm really enjoying your Better Call Saul
reactions and I hope you have a nice
Wednesday evening Vicky.😇
I still find it crazy that this episode is literally the only interaction gus and saul have in the entire breaking bad timeline and they wouldnt even remember it
Gus was watching Hector. He may have discovered Mike's interest when he was surveilling Hector's restaurant. He had guys on Hector. Just a guess.
Chuck is jealous, petty, vindictive and self-righteous... but he isn't wrong about Jimmy
You should watch Airheads. Great movie about a struggling rock band starring Chuck (Michael McKean) - Brendan Fraser - Adam Sandler and Steve Buscemi. Underrated
Not sure if you know this yet, but Chuck is played by Michael McKean, who you might remember as Mr. Green from the movie ‘Clue’.
Ahh, whenever I see these scenes at the Cinnabon, in Cottonwood Mall of all places, I just cannot see it as Omaha, Nebraska! That mall was my teenage years in Albuquerque, I know every inch of that mall! LMAO!!
Love also that this is like the only interaction that Jimmy ever had with Gus, and later in BB when he puts Walt on the track to get in contact with Gus, of course Jimmy (Saul) says that he doesn't even know who he is but he "knows a guy who knows a guy". I'm like.... well Jimmy, you HAVE met him before!
Its terrible to see that Chuck holds THE LAW in higher regard than his own brother. I get it, from his perspective his brother is always "Slippin Jimmy" and he will never forgive Jimmy for how he views their parents viewpoint on Jimmy and what he did to their dad's business. But Chuck goes to whole new levels of pettiness, and its gonna burn down their relationship for sure!
I was team Jimmy first watch through. Then understood and empathised with Chuck second time after seeing more of Jimmy's personality and behaviour in later seasons.
lol - “Jimmy is heartbroken!” - No, Jimmy is a criminal! Chuck didn’t steal Mesa Verde. Jimmy DID sabotage Chuck.😂😂😂
fr why is she always hating on Chuck like he isn't valid most of the time lmao
Glad you’re finally back into Better Call Saul, and Season 3 is where everything starts to get real
how great is that song while Mike is taking the car apart 🔥🔥
TBH Vkunia, Chuck didn't do anything wrong by getting that client. In fact, what he did was totally legal and ethical. He used skill and salesmanship. All he did was show why HHM is a very big and successful law firm in the 1st place. However, what Jimmy does is 100% illegal, immoral, and unethical.
However, I get why we want Jimmy to succeed and Kim to get Mesa Verda, but again Chuck didn't steal anything. He won the client fair and square, and it's because he is so good at what he does.
Yeah it’s pretty annoying how she hates on chuck all the time and is completely oblivious to Jimmy’s wrongdoings. I mean it seems like in her mind Jimmy is allowed to do anything since he loves his brother, maybe she has some personal sibling problem idk. But the rest of her reactions are still amazing though so I’ll keep watching 👍🏼
@@andreasweimar7254 Me too, I really like her reactions. TBF, I always was rooting for Walt, and he was always hurting everyone around him.
@@anthonyzarate9807 - I always rooted for Walt, too (well, most of the time)...but I never vilified Skyler in the process. I understood why she made the decisions she made with Walt, even if I didn't always think they were the right ones to make. I wish Vkunia would at least sometimes do the same with Chuck. I'm glad the writers for this show are soooo incredibly talented and smart in dialogue and character development.
It’s just the jimmy effect
chuck sympathizers are so sad 💀. If there was a chuck in your life your tune would change.
Finally peak returned
Jimmy is not the only McGill brother who can play games of manipulation.
I may be wrong, but I think they gave Jimmy a bit more hair than Bob Odenkirk has in real life (making him look a little younger than Saul in BB). So for Better Call Saul's black and white future segments they went all the way creating what Odenkirk could look like if he doesn't have some procedure/treatment for that.
I for one would love if Bob Odenkirk embraces his future baldness and even grows a moustache in tribute to Gene Takavic. A comb over might be taking it too far though...
if theres one thing this show does well, its leaving you guessing on how the plans will come to fruition
@9:08 Same guy from the junkyard from Breaking Bad Season 5
You're such a freakin' talent. Love your reactions. Surprised you didn't recognize Francesca. Can't wait til you get to the later seasons. This show really takes off, just like Breaking Bad.
That was Lloyd from yellowstone!
Chuck only wanted to get Jimmy’s law degree taken because he cares about that law and keeping it as fair as possible
Jimmy exploits the law to make money
Franchesca. "I think you're a little crooked. The bottom of the M there"
how come so many reactors miss that the new receptionist in this episode is Francesca who was his receptionist in Breaking Bad?
or Krazy-8 when he was re-introduced in season 2.
for me it was as instant as recognizing Saul, Mike, Gus, Hector or Tuco.
P.S. The reason Chuck thinks they way he does about Jimmy is Jimmy has been doing it to the whole family (mom, dad, and Chuck) their entire lives. Yet still they constantly bailed Jimmy out and helped him. All they got for it was more pain and suffering thanks to Jimmy's actions and selfishness.
"I just feel like this whole season is going to be Chuck screwing with and messing Jimmy and just trying to ruin him completely..."
....spoiler alert.....
- its the other way around
Damn I started to think we'd never get any more BCS.
Holy crap almost a month since the last video
building that antici...pation! haha.
yep... sucks bro
I've been waiting patiently... I'm glad you're watching this series! It's my favorite!
its been a while since i saw this but i think the black and white flashbacks are the future after breaking bad when he's laying low
You channelled Napoleon Dynamite with that
EAT THE FOOD
Ehrmantraut is super clever
*Surprised she didn’t notice Victor or Francesca*
She doesn’t seem to retain much
I’m not
The way I see Jimmy and Chuck's beef: Jimmy wronged Chuck in an enormous way by switching the numbers, and Chuck recording Jimmy's confession isn't as bad of a crime at all.
However, Chuck 100% deserved it and is no saint himself. He sees Jimmy as nothing more than a conman and criminal, despite how seriously Jimmy tried to turn himself around while also being a loving and caring brother, yet Chuck never changed his views, he'll always be Slippin' Jimmy.
Yet despite this, Chuck is just as much of a Slippin' Chucky. He went out of his way to suffer through his condition to go into HHM purely to put Jimmy off during the Sandpiper meetings, he specifically went out of his way to go in person to steal Mesa Verde back because he knew it meant something to Jimmy that Kim got them, and worst of all, he faked his own mental breakdown KNOWING that Jimmy (the 1 brother that actually cares for the other out of the 2) would feel compelled to help, while also throwing his most loyal friend Howard under the bus too, by putting him through the stress and suffering of thinking he was quitting the firm out of nowhere, KNOWING it would lead to Jimmy finding out.
Both brothers have done awful things, but Jimmy has proven that deep down he cares for Chuck, but the reverse is not the same outside of seeing him as a lesser creature and keeping him safe, but in that position, and never as an equal.
You really didnt recognize Jimmys new secretary, huh? crazy :D
Finally you post this reaction that im waiting for so long.
I recommend a chinese war film called the 800 it is seriously underrated and must be more well known. it is a must watch
Just saw this in my feed as I was about to eat, Vicky got the best timing 🙏
Finally!! You just made my DAY 😁
"I would love to experience those early 2000s prices"
Me too! Remember when the McDonald's dollar menu only cost $1 per item?!
I remember aus $5.95 large big mac meal. now there $12.95+
You wouldn't love to experience those early 2000s wages.
@@frankmu1034Why not? There's barely a difference. Minimum wage was 5.15 during the BCS timeline up till 2007. It was changed to 5.85, then to 6.55 in 2008, and had it's next (and final ever) increase in 2009 to the current 7.25.
My point is that the cost of the goods is MUCH MUCH bigger of a difference than the wages are between the two times and makes a much bigger impact.
From the time there was a minimum wage in 1938 it has been increased regularly, every 3-5 years or so with the longest gap between raises being 10 years from 1997 until the aforementioned 2007. It has now been exactly 15 years (July 24, 2009) since the last minimum wage increase yet goods have more than doubled or tripled in just the last 5!
TLDR: People still make the same money now that they did then...
Cant believe you didnt recognize Franceska and victor
3.19$, that's it? Yeahh those were the days lmao. Would love to see those prices back for anything fast food related
YES! pleasse release more bcs videos!!
Finally bcs is back on youtube, lets Go!
Maybe be a bit more open minded with Chuck, it's not like Jimmy is a good sibling lmao
We'll see how you feel about the two at the end of the season.
Wait for Lalo 😅
Oh look, it's our once a month episode of Better Call Saul. Awesome. See everyone again in July!
Don't worry, we have more coming sooner than that
@@VKuniaThis makes me very happy. I really enjoy your reactions to BCS. Love that show

About time!!!!! I was waiting for you to upload BCS!!!!!!
It's been a month, but we are closer to 'Chicanery'
Plz start the boys season 3 i have already watched once but really need a recap
