As a gay Montrealer, these are my choices: 🏳️🌈 Best strip joint: Campus 🏳️🌈 Best bar: Le Stud 🏳️🌈 Best bathhouse: GI Joe 🏳️🌈 Honorable mention: Aigle Noir. The locals usually start here for a drink and then head to Stud for a night of dancing. Awesome video 👏👏👏
I'm so glad you reviewed the city of my birth, and my favorite city in Canada. Happy to see the village coming back to life after the pandemic. In addition to the venues you mentioned, Complexe Sky was one of my favorites. Not sure what's it's like today, but we used to enjoy the best white wine sangria, by the pitcher, on their fantastic rooftop terrace. It had a small plunge pool and some sun loungers. Wonderful for relaxing on a warm sunny day.
@@TwoGayExpatsI moved in from Vancouver and I’m just shocked how many people complained about the village in Montreal. Like have you seen Toronto, San Francisco, or other major city in North America? Montreal has the least issue with homelessness and drug addiction. If it’s Vancouver, they’ll be seeing people with needles all the way in Laval at 7.30 AM 😂
Totally agree with you (and I live in the gay village). Bars are now full with str8 girls (even the strip club)... its pretty sad to see. Most Montreal gays guys I know travel around the world to party now since MTL became sad
Great informative n useful video for someone willing to travel to Montreal, or simply fot the Canadians themselves!! Canada is a superb country all around.
Great video! I currently live in the USA but want to move to Montreal sometime next year. This video was very helpful since I'm planning on a trip around new years to get a feel for the city.
@joedavenport5293 that’s beyond our knowledge as travel bloggers! We stayed in the gayborhood but Verdun is obviously very trendy-often ranked as one of the best neighborhoods in the world so likely rental prices are commensurate!? Definitely ask around on arrival. We like to sit at the bar in restaurants to get the best local intel from the bartenders!
My husband and I went to Montreal last summer and had a great time. Unfortunately, we were there at the same time as Montreal was hosting the Canadian Grand Prix F1 Race, which we didn't know was a thing until we got there and explains why prices seemed a little higher than they should have been. But we still found plenty to do and enjoyed some of the establishments you highlighted above, including Campus and Oasis ;) I would also like to recommend Quebec City if you have an extra day or two to spend in Quebec. It's not as vibrant as Montreal, but it's a cute city with a lot of neat architecture if you're into that sort of thing. We rented a car and drove about 3 hours there for a couple night stay and it was a nice side trip from our main Montreal vacation!
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!! Quebec does sound great! We really want to spend longer and explore further afield next trip for sure!! Thanks again, and safe travels guys!

Thanks a lot guys for this excellent video about gay Montréal. I am a francophone Québécois and I think you are americans. I hope you liked the french « côté » of Montréal and Québec. Also, I want to say about you: you are two handsome men!
The signs clearly say ‘The Village’ in the video, but we want to be clear for travelers what we’re talking about and for the algorithm! Thanks for sharing! 🙏
This new name of “Inclusive Village” was imposed by city officials and was never accepted by the community. The village was created by gays in the early 80s from nothing and is already inclusive naturally. This attempt to rebrand the gay village certainly hides an attempt to assimilate the village to a new speculative reality due to the restoration of the new adjacent neighborhoods whose inhabitants will frequent Ste-Catherine Street East, transforming it according to another agenda, which will have nothing to do with the LGBTQ community.
Not just Montreal have gay life but ‘QUEBEC’ more open about gay life of rest in Canada ….ontario nothing there about gay life …welcum to Montreal …thank you for your video 🎉😅🎉😊
Toronto gay scene is 10x bigger than Montreal's one. Outside of Montreal, there is no gay life in Québec at all. And no, I don't consider Le drague consider is 90% strait girls now...
I (Trai) lived in Paris three times and know how to pronounce Paris and Montreal in French and English. In English, it’s not pronounced like that. In French, yes.
@@TwoGayExpats Are you guys "Montrealsplaining" how to pronounce the name of the city in English, to English Montrealers? Sorry - but most Canadians say "Mun-tree-all". Great video though and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit!
😅 and thank you! Our point to the previous viewer was simply we pronounced the name of the city how all Americans would. Our goal was not to put on a fake local accent since our channel audience is mostly American. Thanks again for sharing… and for the lightheartedness! 😊🙏❤️
i went there during the fireworks back in july and there very nice stuff but i felt unsafe ,especially with my kid. too many shady characters roaming the area.
We did go. There was a $20 cover, and as we said, the place was filled with bachelorette parties! We then went next door to Campus which we enjoyed two nights in a row 🌈🙌

@@TwoGayExpats I actually agree with him" MTL party scene is completly dead. Sky night club is straight now. Unity is straight now. Even stripper bars are full of str8 girls with the annoying bachelorette party. There a few small bars (like Renard) but even these bars, its at least 50% STR8 people. People thinks of Montreal based on his party reputation Montreal has 20 years ago... Nothing is happening now. You even included PikNik (a straight event) as a gay things to do. If we represent 10% of the people there, who care if its gay friendly. Gay friendly for a str8 events should be the basic minimum, but we want some real big gay circuit parties with GAY men. Like I says to all my gay friends around the world, if you want to come to Montreal for the food and walking around, that's fine. But don't lose your money if you want to visit because of Montreal party reputation.
I’m an English Canadian, not from Quebec. No English Canadian ever says MON-treal. Always MUN-treal. I have only ever heard Americans say MON, which is not standard anywhere but in the US. It’s funny how you persist in saying it the US way. I guess because you’re Americans, but to Canadians it’s weird.
We hear you, but we also don’t say the Pair-ee Olympics because that’s how Parisians pronounce it! We speak American English and pronounce places accordingly in our videos! I’ve never heard a single American say anything other than MON-treal. Love this is the takeaway from our hard work lol 😂
