That CONTINUOUS COMMERCIAL read really cracked me up 😂 I've done some commercial voice overs in Filipino which were translated from an English script and I sound like a Filipino RAP GOD EMINEM. Love your content Peter, very relatable
"cut points at the median line; clean up the start and end". SO helpful, this video! Can you just explain what the median line is and HOW you "clean up" the start and end? Thank you so much!
I've been practicing reading and finally got a microphone and my very first time with a sensitive microphone my breaths sounded like great gusts of wind. I was contemplating something like this, and glad to see it will work. Nice explanation and clear instructions.
I only just recently self-taught myself this after observing how other people deal with almost running out of air whenever they talk in videos. Though I still often make a lot of mistakes on my private voice overs that I even unintentionally edit out the breaths near the mistakes I cut out, but I’m always curious to see how I’m handling the breathing recently.
Even so I still lack stamina and quick enough skills to keep it in talking at times that I’ve grown to become easily impressed by even average people are able to hold a long conversation cause talking is actually more skill in more ways than one than you might think.
I have spent like 11 years in the Top Commercial Radio Channels of India. All the time the juggle was to fit a 30-sec script in 20 secs. By voicing them continuously I had automatically started speaking quite fast, funnily and it took me some time to get back to normal pace to voice other styles. But I suffer from one problem, As I start to voice or while voicing unknowingly there is sound "tongue clicking" and just like the breaths I have to remove it manually.
Thank you for this amazing video. I spend a lot of time to chop the breaths from my online tutorials. I guess, I should follow the point of lowering the volume in those sections. Is there a faster way to handle this as I do not want to spend much time doing this? I use Camtasia to produce my videos.

This was so helpful, I always thought you should never have audible breaths, even when voicing for animation.

This is as well written as spoken. Thanks a lot!

Very helpful, thanks. And it's nice to hear someone speaking about an 'advert' (as opposed to American terminology all the time)!

Top video, great advice and I like the point 'let them work out it for themselves'.
