Liam Allan - Behind the breakthrough: pressure and trauma

  • The publicity around Liam's case was perhaps the single biggest corner turned so far in the fight against false accusations and police failures.
Liam's fresh faced appeal gave him a media platform and showed his apparent confidence to the world. Few saw the trauma fears and difficulties that came with presenting his innocent student's story to TV journalists, and dealing with the reaction.
Now well into the journey of organising a successful series of conferences on the "Innovation of Justice", Liam's promise, to never stop fighting to get some return to sanity in the processing of rape/sexual assault cases, has inspired hundreds and made his face well recognised across the world.
pushing this and the main film, "We Believe You" can help the raised awareness and to restore justice

Well done Liam for working to restore some balance to the current state of injustice for the huge growing number of falsely accused people.

Well done Liam for all your outstanding work in highlighting the awful problem of false accusations being made against innocent people.

Those who make false allegations jeopardise the genuine victims opportunity for justice.

    • @patrickgraham6786

This is true - the falsely accused and genuine rape victims are all done down by the way the system is set up and works - Detectives are actually trained to pursue the cases where there is lots of gory detail and the accuser wants to go to trial...
and disbelieve those whose accounts are blurry, and who hover between going to trial and pulling out altogether -
the latter group are generally the genuine victims - the gory detail lovers are the false accusers.

@@patrickgraham6786 The issue is far more stark now, as the burden has now been reversed to the defendant to prove his innocence beyond reasonable doubt, as a result of a surreptitious change in the law,, insofar the CPS no longer need evidential proof, as the verbal allegation is now classed as the evidence, therefore making it easier for the police and or CPS to deliberately conceal evidence that points away from the defendant.

sorry to hear that Kyle, It's been 4 years for me as well, and I have just run out of legal comeback options to gain proper compensation from the police - whose malicious incompetence has, at a conservative estimate cost me over £200,000 in lost income and probably several years of healthy living as well.
I can only suggest the forums where I got support...
FACT (the falsely accused professionals support group) which has a helpline and holds meetings in Birmingham (prior to and after Covid)
      metoofalsley accused Facebook forum,
Sorry that the Pig & Crown is defunct - but my film making colleague who held the "keys" to that website, disappeared after letting it die. (Thanks a lot for throwing away months of work and help to others Matt)
Whatever you do...you need to get some sympathetic ears and local support.

The police investigate this case for a whole year and fail to find these crucial messages? That says something about what efficient investigators they are.

all police forces across the country - still doing this - as Mark Pearson points out - every time they are exposed as criminally perverse, they say "lessons will be learnt" - they never are.

@@khansclothingblogs7173 I wish you the best of luck - the police are extremely resistant to pressing charges against false accusers - because they are complicit at the very least themselves. and the CPS are as separate from the police as a foot is from a leg.
