The water in the receptacle never seems to increase beyond the level initially placed in it (shown at 1:02 & 2:08) even though the inverted hatchery bottle is empty at the end. How can that be?
It wasn't empty it was still at the same water level, but the point of that was to separate the hatched or unhatched egg by letting the baby brine shrimp swim towards the light at the end in the new container.

@@Islamic_BayanStudio 26 to 28c is the optimum temps for quicker hatching but temps between 21 to 27c will also work but might take a couple days longer to hatch. I'm using a heat mat for germinating seeds and put a towel or something folded up a few times between mat and hatching container. Keep an eye on your water temperatures though as heating mats can make it too hot if your not careful

@@ling8788 after your goldfish fry hatched, wait 3 days then feed it with boiled egg yolk (dissolve the egg yolk on a water) then feed them that dissolved egg yolk water. after 3 days or 1 week, you can feed them with brine shrimps.

Is it ok to put bbs with salt, in a fresh water goldfish?
Yes it is, the amount of salt on the bbs isn't enough to harm goldfish. You could also rinse them in a net, under freshwater if you'd like. :)

Yes, drill a hole and stick a tube in. Airline tube is fine. Make sure it's a tight fit.

There are different tiypes of zysts (eggs). Some only trigger when they are exposed to light. In general they just hatch quicker with light.
To attract them from the upper bottle down to the bottom container, they're attracted to light.
