Love your Kalanchoe Beharensis tree and with it being the hairless (nuda) version which is rare to see I think. In the UK I have only seen the hairy one for sale which I love. I have two as house plants but they seem to need a lot of light otherwise the leaves drop off. I keep mine outside during the summer but bring it indoors for the winter as its too cold here. By the way I think that small Kalanchoe plant you planted is a different species of Kalanchoe :) with the pattern under the leaves. Great video and thanks for the useful tips on propagating this one!

Sadly, it's top heavy and has tipped over, so I'm here to learn if i can propigate by cutting the stems and making many plants. I'll be cutting my kalanchoe and making a cacti forest! Thanks. Lots of great advice there. 👍 I just purchased a 2.2 metre tall plant, the fuzzy felt ear variety, and can grow in a sunny, sheltered spot outside here in Taiwan. I will probably repot it in spring and take some cuttings.
Hi Marwa, yes you can do a stem propagation or leaf propagation,. With the leaf propagation I collect the fallen leaves of the Kalanchoe Beharensis and propagate and you can do the same with the Hildebrandtii.
I have one that have grown with a long thin stem, how can i make it more robust? And can i cut the stem and but it in soil with leaves on to make the stem shorter so the plant wont break?
Hi Inku, the reason the stem is long and thin is because its not getting enough light. Yes if you cut the top the plant will eventually get side shoots and therefore bushier. I would recommend to get the plant stronger, by providing more light and once its its stem is stronger then cut the plant. The plant i.e. the vertical stem should be able to support the side shoots Keep me updated.

The Small plant that you are saying is K. beharensis or sub nuda, the one with the stripes under neath the leaves, the one that has babies on the notches of its leaves; that is K. daigremontiana. The group that includes K. beharensis does not produce plantlets on its leaves. Google them both.

Hi Katie, yes chop up the stem and sink it in the soil and it does root very quickly. If you do face any problem, DM me and I could guide you.
The little Kalanchoë looks like a Kalanchoë daigremontiana.

If you want it to branch out you will need to cut the top. Be patient and you will get side shoots
