I love your ideas. I agree that making an area cohesive makes it easier to keep orderly, it really lightens the cognitive load of needing to remember how to arrange things. One thing I have found helpful is to have a fridge inventory, I use a DT magnetic list pad on the side of the refrigerator with all of the expected expiration dates. It makes it easier to avoid stuff getting forgotten about in the back and a good way to be aware of when things like condiments are going past their prime.
Love it Kallie ! I transferred tons of food to canisters a few years ago, and I still love the look every time I open my pantry. Less visual clutter, and the natural colors of the food instead of the bright colors of the packaging is more pleasing to my eye.
Another bonus for canisters: keeps pests out! Reorganized my cabinet yesterday and found dead worms in an old 1/2 full bag of flour I had forgotten about 😝
It was a nightmare when i found out that ALL the foods in the cupboards (even medicine) was infected by hundreds of sawtoothed grain beetles. It took at least a day to clean out the cupboards and also had to toss out newly bought foods. Always put your grain products in glass or plastic jars with airtight lids when you store them in a humid and/or warm place.
tinalovesjulio we had moths too. We had to throw so many grains, rice, flour, pasta out because it wasn't worth risking it. You don't realize how bad moths can be
So satisfying seeing everything in it’s place. I’ll definitely come back to this, and your other organization videos when I find a place to live. I need to have things neatly organized or it makes me feel anxious and depressed. Right now I’m living in a cluttered space (I’m grateful to my friends for letting me stay with them, until I can find a place) and it’s definitely effecting my mental health. I’m sure a lot of the depression is because I can’t find a place to live that I can afford on disability. Sorry to leave such a long comment. I needed to get it out. I feel safe here 🥰
I stumbled upon this at the perfect time! I'm in the process of getting into meal prepping and organizing my kitchen and pantry. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to the dollar store today!
Seeing your before and after gave me such satisfaction and calmness ! Guess what I’m doing today?!?!?!?! Thank you for the motivation I needed to tackle my cabinets! Much love from Massachusetts! ❤️❤️
Ah. Kallie! You always have the nicest advice on organizing, kitchen, bath, Miles room. And I like watching you with all your great ideas. And... You're so cute.
Don’t forget to cut cooking instructions for pasta/rice and tape to the back or bottom of the canisters. Trust me! Saves lots of searching on the internet.
Yes, that’s what I was coming here to add, I cut out instructions and hang them inside the door. I also add the best by date on the label because I just use painters tape for my labels. Not as cute but get the job done..
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
Love this! thank you so much! I have upper cabinets for my pantry and since we just moved in, it's a bit of a mess so I can't wait to try some of these. Plus I am nesting (due in December) and it'll be great to get everything organized before baby comes.
I did something similar with my pantry a couple of months ago and it is still organized! My family is doing much better about putting things back where they found them. I can stay on top of what I am running low on and the shelf life of my food is better since I’ve been using containers for items like crackers and chips.
I was looking for pantry baskets on Amazon, didn't think to look at the Dollar Store, which I'll try first. As kids get older it's more difficult to keep it organized, they're like tornadoes. My husband and I did organize the floor of the pantry last weekend because I got so frustrated with the mess. My baking stuff stays organized but that's because no one else uses it lol. The rest of the pantry needs help though. Great ideas! I have a couple of the clip chalk labels.
😍 this turned out wonderfully! I am a "cupboards of food" situation as well and it can really be a challenge to manage the space. This is not only super functional and maintainable but beautiful as well. Win all around! 👏
❤ U ROCK ❣️ I just love watching you organized and all your tips and tricks get me motivated to organize and stay that way!! Thanks so much for the help and motivation 😁💡 I'm off to clean my refrigerator out now😂😂 God Bless you and Keep you safe Always ❤
I just stumbled across your channel and it's like the perfect for me. Loving it so far. I'm also obsessed with dollar tree, have small kids, and a smaller older house.
Your pantry is a thing of beauty now! I like to transfer foods to clear containers, too; and what I'll often do is cut a small label from the original box to identify the contents [if it's not obvious]. You've got that mama-glow, and look so beautiful!
I'm with you. Dollar Tree has some really good and affordable organizing bins. I use those locker bins myself. They have clear fridge soda bins that are really good for holding can goods. I use their fridge storage bins for all sorts of things as they carry different sizes.
What I have done is take those baskets that are 3 for a dollar or two etc. I bought some of the shelf liner stuff that is like foam you can get it in lots of different colors and will last a long while with what I am talking about. Cut the liner to the size of the bottom of basket. Attach to the bottom of basket with two way tape. I use that sticky stuff we used to use for posters. This makes the basket look different and you have a non skid surface on the basket. My bedside table is one of those plastic drawer things you can get everywhere. I play tetris and I can fit several baskets in one of those shallow drawers. The baskets keep everything where they are supposed to be and the liner keeps everything in the basket where I put it. Oh and the liner can be removed and washed and replaced or changed out for a different color when you want 'new' baskets.
I have a small suggestion about the food containers. I would get a small post-it-note, put the expiration date on it and stick on the bottom of the containers.
Omg i totally agree with you about how things stay nice if kept nice. I find this with my car all of the time. If my car is a mess, people leave their drinks, trash in it. If it is clean, then they take their trash w them
Dude that was a huge change and yet so simple. Thanks for the tips. And I must've missed a video or something but congrats for finding out it's a girl!!!
We moved to mason jars because we live in a really big prone area. Our bug guy wanted us to use ziplocs but mason jars are better for the environment and better looking. I imagine these are similar!
That’s fantastic! I’m so excited to revamp my pantry ASAP. One thing though can you turn the Mayo jar the other way so the words aren’t upside down 😉😀😀😀😀
I try to place a piece of masking tape on the bottom of the container with the expiration date when I transfer something from its original package. I didn't do this at first and it made things confusing. You can also cut the directions off the package if needed and tape them on the back.
I have two open shelving pantry in my kitchen. It gives me anxiety because there really isn't much organization going on. Also, the panty next to the stove has pot and pans & it took me 2 years to realize having the food by the stove makes more sense 😂
This video was as satisfying as vacuum lines! Thank you for all you do to inspire and motivate. You are greatly appreciated!
I have watched lots of organization videos but the way you said how we feel control when the things are cohesive. It instantly resonated. Well said 👌🏼
Thank you for keeping it real. I’m decluttering my TH-cam subscriptions and just want to say I appreciate your content.
Aw thank you SO much! I'm SO glad
👏🏼
I love your channel so much! Thank you for showing us inexpensive ways to have an expensive lifestyle!!
You're welcome!!!
Looks great. Loved the baby bump shot. Congrats on having a baby girl.

Your pantry is Glooooorious!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Just beautiful and so inspiring! Thank you for showing us how it’s done. Nice assist by Baby Girl as well. 💖💖
Love how organized the pantry looks)

I never knew the peace and excitement I would get about an organized pantry! I love, thank you for your tips!!
Reorganizing all my food storage areas. Today is my freezer and refrigerator. Later is my pantry - which is really my hallway linen closet.
Just moved in with my boyfriend and we're in the process of organizing the pantry. Some great tips here. Thanks! I love Dollar Tree!
Isn't that lovely!!!! Organization is so soothing!
Your pantry look’s great Callie, love the wire basket’s.
Congratulation’s on your baby girl 💖
Another bonus for canisters: keeps pests out! Reorganized my cabinet yesterday and found dead worms in an old 1/2 full bag of flour I had forgotten about 😝
True! I started using canisters when we got moths. Gross! They can’t get in the canisters.
It was a nightmare when i found out that ALL the foods in the cupboards (even medicine) was infected by hundreds of sawtoothed grain beetles. It took at least a day to clean out the cupboards and also had to toss out newly bought foods.

You use the space so efficiently!! Great ideas ! Thanks !

Lauren Ramsey, excellent suggestion!

Little Patrinka I use tape too! No need to bust out a label maker for that.
I know that's right learned that one the hard way lol
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account??
I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
Love it! I'm about to remodel my kitchen in our new home and watching this previously gives me ideas to organize it right from the start!

😲😲 WOW! it turned out very aesthetically pleasing but also functional. I need some of those under the shelf organizers and shelf risers.
😍 this turned out wonderfully! I am a "cupboards of food" situation as well and it can really be a challenge to manage the space. This is not only super functional and maintainable but beautiful as well. Win all around! 👏
My first house didn’t have a pantry, just lots of cupboards, so I feel ya!

Dude that was a huge change and yet so simple. Thanks for the tips. And I must've missed a video or something but congrats for finding out it's a girl!!!
Save your peanut butter jars for food storage/grease disposal/craft storage. My kiddo loves that she can see her things.
Great tips. I am inspired to redo my "pantry".
Thanks for sharing I like the way you organize things I hope I can achieve the same results
Loves so great!
Awesome video 😊👍
Great tips, very useful)
Thank you 💓😊
Love it
🙋 I have cupboard "pantry" as well. 2 wide uppers and the lowers under them for chips, snacks, potatoes, and extra bulk items.
We moved to mason jars because we live in a really big prone area. Our bug guy wanted us to use ziplocs but mason jars are better for the environment and better looking. I imagine these are similar!
Today's clean kitchen is sponsored by Starbucks 😍
I’m sooo glad I found this I just cleaned out my pantry yesterday!! Also where did you get the canisters from? Loved this video ❤️
Great job
Great ideas
Kallie what a great org job!!! You inspire me! Going to clean out my big pantry today!!!!!
YAY! Happy organizing!!!
That’s fantastic! I’m so excited to revamp my pantry ASAP.
One thing though can you turn the Mayo jar the other way so the words aren’t upside down 😉😀😀😀😀
Thanks! I didn’t know that dollar tree had removable labels
I try to place a piece of masking tape on the bottom of the container with the expiration date when I transfer something from its original package. I didn't do this at first and it made things confusing. You can also cut the directions off the package if needed and tape them on the back.
I love your couch! Where’s it from! So glad I found this video! About to help a friend organize her pantry today!
Is this all the food you store? I have so much more and can get overwhelmed when I try to organize! But you've given me some inspiration.
I have two open shelving pantry in my kitchen. It gives me anxiety because there really isn't much organization going on. Also, the panty next to the stove has pot and pans & it took me 2 years to realize having the food by the stove makes more sense 😂
