I changed mine and I keep getting a iat code cleaned all 3 grounds on the engine and also traced the wires to the ecm via continuity, still getting a code
Hi, I tried to replace the sensor but I can't because it's stuck. I don't want to break the plug because I can't remove it... Don't know if that change anything but the grey part (safety plug) is under and not on top like in your video on my equinox 2008. Any idea ? Thanks
say do these cause engines to stumble without showing a code for a bad maf sensor? i have stumble on my 2013 equinox and i have tried all the tests i can think of. i then heard that the maf may be the issue and not tossing a code. it stumbles at stops and if i rev it a bit or put it in neutral it goes away. so now i'm wondering. do you happen to know? thanks
Try looking at the pcv vent tube. It's the long tube that's covered by a black plastic wrap around it. If it's broken, it's not easy to see. Good luck.
I changed my maf sensor in my 2018 equinox it has a 1.6l turbo diesel now its saying have emissions system serviced and its gonna derate in 100 miles what would cause that
2013 equinox 2.4 I have codes p0097 p0113 p2228 and p11c4. I replaced the sensor and I am still having the codes and the problem? What do I try next? I cannot find any info on what to do next.
Scan for trouble codes because I have had to change a lot of crank sensors in those engines over the years and a bad crank sensor will not let it start. So try to get your trouble codes first and go from there.
I replaced it and still having a rough idle only at a red light or stop sign. But when I put it back into neutral as I am waiting it idles fine. Do you possibly have any idea as to what to do next from there. I had already replaced the MAF and my connectors. I am drawing a blank hoping I can get an opinion on the situation
What codes are you getting ? Also the idle is controlled by your throttle body with the built in iac so you might be able to clean it and see how that does. Also what year and make of vehicle?
I have already cleaned the throttle body and fuel injection system. It is the code that you are staying in the title as well after scanning in again I have a evap system code pop. Possible vacuum leak?
Did you figure it out? I have a 2014 Terrain 2.4 awd, random times like twice a week, will go to store, get back in the Terrain and go to back up and almost wants to stall, if i give it gas it's fine then issue goes away. I cleaned tb, replaced both vvt valves, has new air filter and the Terrain has 56,000 miles. Oil has always been changed on time, never gets dark, oil is full, I didn't replace maf, just cleaned it with electrical cleaner spray, but I haven't had a code yet. I was having a rear 02 code and replaced the rear 02, no codes since, but this random sputter at idle. Isn't every day, just very random. I also put fuel system clean in tank.
Thank you sir! I was getting an AIT code and checked Google for a replacement and it was showing me MAF sensors, now I know!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Trying to look all over for this answer. Kept me from ripping apart my Chevy Volt

Were you able to fix it? Having the same issue with mine.

Did you ever find issue mines doing the same?
@@davidaston8029 no i never got it figured out yet.

Purge valve canister tube. It's hiding inside a black plastic sleeve. Right below your high fuel pump, line goes to your purge valve solenoid.

@Cody the Car Guy will this cause car not to start?

How do you clean it?

I'm having the same issue
@@myewan4 took mine to dealer. There was a short in the wiring harness. Connector needed replaced. That and another fix cost 640
So, do I unhook the battery before doing this? what size socket is used?
No battery disconnect, 8 mm socket
Would this intake sensor stop the car from starting I ha e spark and it's getting gas but wont start???

I have po113, but car still starts and runs.
P0097 Chevy Equinox?

Its a 2011 Chevy equinox AWD 2.4L LT
Maybe ambient temperature sensor is an option too?

What happens if it doesn't get changed out? Got the code and I'm wondering if its because I touched.
I can't get mines off,do anyone have any reason why🤔
Did you ever figure out how to remove it? Can't take mine off either.
Bolt sizes?

Really not liking the new intro. Why does the music have to be so "cool". Hmm
