This is spot on Liz thankyou, I gave up meat and most dairy for years, I'm paying the price diagnosed osteoporosis and raised coeliac levels. I respect everyone’s choices but please don’t mistake veganism for a diet. It’s a lifestyle that goes beyond food. If you cut out animal products from your diet then you’re simply plant based. You may think it’s petty me pointing this out but vegans are primarily about avoiding animal cruelty, exploitation and consumption.
Hi Liz, I have used goat's milk for years, Semi skimmed or whole, I started to drink it because I have coeliac disease, and found it was easier to absorb and gentle on my tummy, than cow's Milk, also it's good for the skin 😊
You may find the difference isn’t between cow or goats milk but between A1 protein and A2 protein. A1 protein milk is what the selectively bred, high-yielding Holstein cows produce (most commercially/ supermarket dairy). Goats, sheep and old traditional cow breeds like Guernsey and many Jersey (Jersey depends on the genetic line and if there were attempts to ‘improve’ that particular line at any point). Then there’s lactose. Sheep & goats milk has less lactose that cows’ milk. However, raw cows milk contains enzymes including lactase that naturally help breakdown lactose. Those enzymes are destroyed by pasteurisation. Also goats milk isn’t usually homogenised where as nearly all supermarket milk is, and homogenisation wrecks the molecular structure and may make it harder to digest.

I've never dieted but also never eat fast food , fish and chicken cook quickly anyway. I went to keep fit classes in my 40's and have always walked everywhere and carried shopping .At 75 yrs old I use 3k weights and practice getting up off the floor , because if you don't keep strong you can't get out of the chair ,which means you can't get to the loo .Do I want a carer wiping my bum ? Not if I can avoid it.
I’m not dairy free and don’t want to be but too much of it causes acid reflux. I buy the least processed plant milk I can find in the supermarket (plenish) what is the best alternative to to this please and what about non diary kefir & yoghurt?
I really needed to see this today , I’m so overwhelmed about what to eat & not eat 🙄 I’m in perrimenapause & really suffering due to My sensitivity to hormones pmdd … so frightened to take HRT & totally confused about what I should be eating. thank you 🙏
I'm still mostly vegan because I cannot tolerate eggs or dairy. Sometimes, I'll have a bit of fish. But the BIG difference for me was not worrying about eating low fat. I have coconut in my oatmeal and I try to eat an avocado every day. It's made all the difference in my feeling of well-being.
Totally agree ! My friend was a vegetarian and even thought she did very things organic and home made.. it didn’t work for her as her health suffered and now she quitting vegetarian. There is so many doctors out there warning people. Also plan base is worse for the people environment. The research is out there.
What a shock. I have been a vegetarian for 40 plus years but I have my cheese eggs milk as a personal choice. I found that when we came back to UK from 40 years in South Africa I couldn't get tvp and I loved my Fry's vegetarian polony. Looking forward to more videos.
I’m 60 and spent about 20 years trying to eat a low fat vegetarian and then plant based diet. I hated food and used to throw most of my main meal in the bin. I indoctrinated myself that any fat or animal products would make me end up with cancer or heart disease. It was only when I started tracking my macros that I realised I was struggling to get enough protein. I know you can get protein from lentils etc but I can’t eat huge quantities of food and hated being bloated and looking like I was 6 month pregnant in the evenings. I have eaten animal products for several years now. I still don’t really like food but at least I can get all the essential nutrients without eating huge quantities. I generally feel better and am slim and very fit. I’ve been teetotal all my life but that won’t change as I hate alcohol.
I removed all inflammatory causing foods from my diet. I gave up meat, fish, dairy, sugar, gluten and veg oils. Have to take B12, vit D and food based iron. I consume organic extra virgin oil, organic virgin coconut oil and walnut oil. So high protein, high fat and very low carb - sugar = wrinkles.
Fab talk today Liz ,finally we are all waking up to a better way of eating ,i was always on low fat everything ,believing i was doing everything right ....now its low carb ,keto ,back to the old days of beef dripping and grass fed butter ,and never felt better Please can you talk more about the excersise you do ,that is one thing i need to step up on and combine it with my threadmill Each day ,is it best to start with 2kg weights ...x
Hi 👋 I’m new to your channel and I have just subscribed. I agree completely with what you’ve said in your video. I was vegetarian for 5 years and dairy free. I have now turned around doing a 180 and gone back to eating meat, love eating eggs, and full fat in everything. We have been fed a load of lies about low fat diets. It’s the sugar industry that is killing us and is only interested in profit. Maltodexrin is another bad food that I try to avoid and it’s in pretty much everything including some varieties of baked beans. Thank you for your lovely video and you look amazing at 60. ❤❤
I think a lot of women in there late 40’s upwards don’t have as much muscle mass to start with as we grew up with aerobics (Jane Fonda) .. my daughter is 30 and she is all about weight training…
What you’re saying is so true. It looks like there is now beginning to be a backlash against veganism as so many vegan products contain additives. And how on earth people can choose margarine, or pretend butter, over real butter is beyond me.
Been vegan for 10 years and I would never go back to eating animal products. Veganism is about ethics, not wellness. I eat a lot of whole foods. There is a lot of science to support this being the best diet for health.
Thank you Liz, this is making me think again as to what to do for the best. I much prefer dairy to oat milk and other vegan options, and I worry about the processing involved. However, looking at saturated fat content and trying to reduce my cholesterol, I'm just so confused! ❤
I lost 20 pounds in no time on macrobiotic. My sister in law got involved because it was suppose to be a cancer killer. Well I will say she did past away but I stood on it. Anyway I would add some things but kept losing. I was down to 103 and kept going down. I finally quit.
If you're intolerant, we'd advise making your own plant-based from scratch to ensure there's no unwanted ingredients. Lots of recipes on our website ❤️
Thank you for sharing, am loving the book. Where can I find info for my 1 year old grandson who is allergic to milk. He is going to be doing the milk allergy ladder in the mean time they have suggested oat milk but as you say they are full of rubbish. Is it better to have say Plenish brand, which has nothing added and supplement him. We can’t or don’t know where to look for answers. Much love 🌿
If he can't tolerate milk and you'd like to use oat milk instead, you can try making from scratch yourself so there's no unwanted ingredients (we have recipes for nut milks and oat milk on our website). But they won't have the same nutritional value as dairy milk ❤️
Yep 2yrs of Veganism was really detrimental to my mental and physical health, I actually became very unwell, then caught COVID and I suffered for months, blood tests revealed I was completely deficient in iron, vitamin D and many more vital nutrients despite cooking "healthy" and from scratch. I was so unwell I had a complete breakdown, I lost a lot of weight, muscle mass, hair loss, my skin was terrible had rashes like never before, my hormones were a mess. It was the most horrific experience of my life. I immediately begun introducing animal sources back into my diet 2yrs ago starting with eggs, then a little bit of beef, reintroduced dairy, fish, honey, its taken me a long time to heal that's fir sure, feeling much healthier and have gained muscle again, hair growing back much healthier and gained a bit of healthy weight back too. There's a reason why 85% of people give up being vegan, because it's not optimal, very few people do ok on it, men do better on it than women, I'm guessing that's because we need the healthy fats to help manufacture hormones for healthy reproduction etc. Thanks for talking about it, as you can tell by my reaction I completely relate to all you have expressed, people genuinely need educating instead of believing the lies and propaganda we are so exposed to today.
Everything in moderation. I eat meat. Ideally I would like to consume free range grass fed, but maybe once a week or fortnight. Butter is great. I am slowly switching cooking from sunflower oil to coconut oil and using olive oil as a drizzle over all sorts of things. Our brains, skin and organs all need fat. The other really important things are walking daily, deep breathing, prayer and a good night's sleep.
my husband and i both suffer from arthritis, we were both bodybuilders back in the 80's and thought we would be fit our entire lives, we watched the game changers on netflix and decided to go vegan , we lasted a year and did not feel any benefit, i have fallen pray my entire life to every diet out there, every supplement, i am 63 now and only eat real food , lessons learned the hard way . nothing works for the body that is not natural , i am angry because i trusted that the scientists were telling me the truth only to find out they were all paid to say what they were telling us, i don't trust doctors ,scientists big pharma or supermarkets ,i trust my gut ,literally
A vegan diet didn't work for me either. I felt very tired and lost too much weight. Now I eat cheese, kefir and eggs again I feel so much better. I did eat chicken and fish but gave up for several reasons. I do not miss it, I feel very energetic and do not look gaunt without meat in my diet.
@@lizearlewellbeing He's on yt - spends $2 million a year on anti aging protocols tested by Doctors. Has had every test imaginable I tried what he eats in a day - vegan with many supplements, exercise, sleep analysis and how he stays young turning back the clock. He looks weird it's not for me.
Same Liz, worked with Mayumi, Madonna's x chef, amazing lady BUT she is Japanese and includes Fish............worst was an American and Scottish couple, that I actually put in my then Vegan magazines, oh yeah! I was in it like you and I feel my gut suffered for this and now cannot eat lentils and pulses as ferment in my stomach, I have a histamine intolerance & Autistic, 2 things seem to go together after long research..........Macrobiotic is not for everyone at all, I work better with real proteins
It is awful isnt it we were following all this misinformation in the 70s. i worry for my sons as they have never seemed to be able to tolerate dairy and ive had to use those awful plant milks. It goes against what im doing for myself. Very frustrating. Special needs are constant.
Sounds like you weren’t eating much the way you describe it. Were you eating enough on a vegan diet. I feel many may do not eat a healthy vegan diet. I feel it needs much thought to be really successful.
Help! I’m embarking on an anti-inflammatory lifestyle as my hands and joints are aching. I’ve been avoiding sugar for the last 7 years, don’t drink alcohol and was no dairy. Went vegetarian but 4 years of bloating was enough and I now eat fish and turkey. I’ve started eating more eggs, ditched the oat milk because of the rapeseed oil in it (never bought the enriched ones). Now have organic full fat milk, organic butter and plain Greek yogurt. Would definitely try raw milk but no suppliers in my area. Trying to wade my way through the current minefield of supplements - have taken cod liver oil, omega 3 and vit d for years but now just started on collagen - considering adding turmeric. Can you think of anything else? 🤔🤔🤔

I bought into the low fat fad for years. I gained weight not long after starting eating all those processed lower than low fat products that hit the shelf and did not see the connection! I have been on low carb/high fat for over 4 years now and I am never going back. I also resolved to never again listen to any recommendations done by institutions pretending to care for our health. They have their own agenda and vested interests. And I sincerely hope Ancel Keys is burning somewhere for his corruption and lies that affected millions of people.
A problem with consuming a lot of animal products is the saturated fat which can raise cholesterol and block arteries. If eating lots of animal fat was a good idea the people in America would be the healthiest and those eating mainly plant based, in the Mediterranean for example would be dropping like flies!
I feel very aligned with Liz’s way of eating and her thoughts on what we should be eating as this is the way I choose to eat and I know works best for my body. I too have an issue converting vitamin A (retinol). However as a Nutritional Therapist we are taught to treat everyone as individuals which is how I treat my clients so more emphasis such as “this is what works for me” was needed. We are all different, all have different needs, preferences, beliefs and values. There is no one size fits all approach to healthy eating. @julesritterlivingwell.

I respect everyone’s choices but please don’t mistake veganism for a diet. It’s a lifestyle that goes beyond food. If you cut out animal products from your diet then you’re simply plant based. You may think it’s petty me pointing this out but vegans are primarily about avoiding animal cruelty, exploitation and consumption.
this!!! exactly this!!!
Came here to say exactly the same thing. All these people who say "I was vegan". No, you were plant based.
Oh give it a rest
@@bexboo8 there is also plant cruelty .. plants also have feelings. They build defense mechanism so we don’t kill then
There's pesticides on vegan food to kill the herbivore animals... vegan ism is delusional.
Hi Liz,
I have used goat's milk for years,
Semi skimmed or whole, I started to drink it because I have coeliac disease, and found it was easier to absorb and gentle on my tummy, than cow's
Milk, also it's good for the skin 😊
Thanks for sharing!

Everything I know in this video but not until recently. Wish I had known years ago. Thank you for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing ❤️
I’m not dairy free and don’t want to be but too much of it causes acid reflux. I buy the least processed plant milk I can find in the supermarket (plenish) what is the best alternative to to this please and what about non diary kefir & yoghurt?
I really needed to see this today , I’m so overwhelmed about what to eat & not eat 🙄 I’m in perrimenapause & really suffering due to My sensitivity to hormones pmdd …
so frightened to take HRT & totally confused about what I should be eating.
thank you 🙏
Glad that you found this helpful ❤️
I'm still mostly vegan because I cannot tolerate eggs or dairy. Sometimes, I'll have a bit of fish. But the BIG difference for me was not worrying about eating low fat. I have coconut in my oatmeal and I try to eat an avocado every day. It's made all the difference in my feeling of well-being.
Thanks for sharing ❤️
Totally agree ! My friend was a vegetarian and even thought she did very things organic and home made.. it didn’t work for her as her health suffered and now she quitting vegetarian. There is so many doctors out there warning people. Also plan base is worse for the people environment. The research is out there.
❤️
What a shock. I have been a vegetarian for 40 plus years but I have my cheese eggs milk as a personal choice. I found that when we came back to UK from 40 years in South Africa I couldn't get tvp and I loved my Fry's vegetarian polony. Looking forward to more videos.
Glad you found helpful ❤️
Thank you for sharing ❤️
Hi liz. Different question. But what do you do slow down agin if ya can’t take hrt. Pls. Xx
❤️
Fab talk today Liz ,finally we are all waking up to a better way of eating ,i was always on low fat everything ,believing i was doing everything right ....now its low carb ,keto ,back to the old days of beef dripping and grass fed butter ,and never felt better
Please can you talk more about the excersise you do ,that is one thing i need to step up on and combine it with my threadmill
Each day ,is it best to start with 2kg weights ...x
Noted! ❤️
Hi 👋
I’m new to your channel and I have just subscribed. ❤❤
Thanks for sharing ❤️
I think a lot of women in there late 40’s upwards don’t have as much muscle mass to start with as we grew up with aerobics (Jane Fonda) .. my daughter is 30 and she is all about weight training…
Definitely was more of a focus on cardio - Liz is a huge fan of weight training ❤️
What you’re saying is so true. It looks like there is now beginning to be a backlash against veganism as so many vegan products contain additives. And how on earth people can choose margarine, or pretend butter, over real butter is beyond me.
It's often marketed as healthier which can be confusing to many! ❤️
Love Liz ❤❤❤
❤️
Been vegan for 10 years and I would never go back to eating animal products. Veganism is about ethics, not wellness. I eat a lot of whole foods. There is a lot of science to support this being the best diet for health.
Totally a personal choice ❤️
Thank you Liz, this is making me think again as to what to do for the best. I much prefer dairy to oat milk and other vegan options, and I worry about the processing involved. However, looking at saturated fat content and trying to reduce my cholesterol, I'm just so confused! ❤
Nutrition can be confusing - hopefully lots of advice here and on our website to answer your questions ❤️
I lost 20 pounds in no time on macrobiotic. My sister in law got involved because it was suppose to be a cancer killer. Well I will say she did past away but I stood on it. Anyway I would add some things but kept losing. I was down to 103 and kept going down. I finally quit.
Appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️
What plant based milk is best. I’m dairy intolerant but want a healthy alternative
Wish I could get raw milk. I only buy non homogonised full cream milk.
❤️
I agree with everything you say
❤️
Appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️
It’s important that we have raw milk it needs to be available
So inspirational, Liz - i have my copy, reading it at the moment. The best money I've spent and such an investment in ME...🌸💕
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for sharing!
Yes, love raw milk, have a wonderful dairy farm that have a vending machine and you can reuse your glass bottles, fabulous xx
Lovely!
my husband and i both suffer from arthritis, we were both bodybuilders back in the 80's and thought we would be fit our entire lives, we watched the game changers on netflix and decided to go vegan , we lasted a year and did not feel any benefit, i have fallen pray my entire life to every diet out there, every supplement, i am 63 now and only eat real food , lessons learned the hard way . nothing works for the body that is not natural , i am angry because i trusted that the scientists were telling me the truth only to find out they were all paid to say what they were telling us, i don't trust doctors ,scientists big pharma or supermarkets ,i trust my gut ,literally
Hopefully there's lots of advice on here you'll find helpful ❤️
A vegan diet didn't work for me either. I felt very tired and lost too much weight. Now I eat cheese, kefir and eggs again I feel so much better. I did eat chicken and fish but gave up for several reasons. I do not miss it, I feel very energetic and do not look gaunt without meat in my diet.

Would love to hear your views on Bryan Johnson - vegan what he eats every day and 100 pills. What he is doing to become younger lol.
This isn't someone the team is familiar with ❤️
@@lizearlewellbeing He's on yt - spends $2 million a year on anti aging protocols tested by Doctors.
Appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️
It is awful isnt it we were following all this misinformation in the 70s. i worry for my sons as they have never seemed to be able to tolerate dairy and ive had to use those awful plant milks. It goes against what im doing for myself. Very frustrating. Special needs are constant.
Appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️
Hi Deb! Tumeric can be helpful for aching joints - do check out The Naked Pharmacy's Natruflex. They have a great team of pharmacists on hand who will be able to answer any questions you may have about the products. The LIZLOVES affiliate discount code will save you 20% if you decide it's right for you! Thanks, Rachel (social media manager) ❤️
No wonder you didn’t do well if you were only eating such a restrictive diet! That’s not about being vegan though.
If the full-fat butter meat eating way of life is better for us why have to take so many supplements?
Worst mistake Liz earle brand made was destroying your daily moisturiser …never buying the brand again ..they ruined your brand
Great to hear it's working for you! ❤️
Are you still teetotal Liz?
no shes not
No, Liz enjoys a drink every now and then in moderation ❤️
I drink raw milk every day 🐄 🥛
❤️
