Explanation: The point is to stack stolen power buff up as high as possible and then break the MC and your next ability does a lot of damage, except every tick of Rip gains the benefit from the buff meaning instead of one ability hitting for 500k+, you get 7 or 8 ticks of Rip doing that much. Lol this was not an abuse of bugs this was clever use of game mechanics, sure it wasn't what blizzard wanted but it wasn't cheating class stacking is a real thing that almost every top guild has done at some point, it isn't an exploit because any feral could do this, they just brought more ferals to do it more.
Harzku Paragon is a gigantic guild, has more influence than Method probably. Not sure what you are referring to, the guild is gigantic name in raiding has a humongous amount of supporters.

To all that wonders why paragon had so many druids in the raid, the explanation comes here. They simply knew that ferals bleeds at this point in cata, were doing way more damage than any other class. And since the encounter is giving you a damage increase (the mindcontrolled had to spam "2" to increase the damage, meanwhile they are going to a portal, hitting that portal results in a death. So "1" is disconnecting you from the mindcontrol). That is why the druids were doing overwhelming damage.
Ahh, everytime I watch this. I just imagine Paragon members in that photo of them putting on their biggest coolfaces when they put the meow sound at the end of the video. Lawl.
Dominion; mind controls a player. you walk towards a portal, if you reach it, you die. you have two skills: - Break mind control - stack a buff (max 150), increased dmg. And thats the reason why they stacked ferals: they synergized well with the buff and they had more gap-closing skills than other classes (back then).
8 Years later but no, that's not why at all. There was a bug in this patch where a component of mangle was stacking meaning that each feral druid added to the raid became x% stronger, all the damage was attributed to whichever cat currently had the mangle debuff up. Nothing to do with the mc.
There was this buff you got after getting to.those portals that increases the damage done with your next ability by like 2000%, and since rip was by far the highest damaging ability in the game they used a lot of cats
On every other Paragon video someone is going crazy about a standard disengage, yet the one time a hunter's disengage is actually amazing (7:17) no one says a word.
@arfner What you may or may not know is that when Paragon is doing progression, they also run their alt run too, so they have toons geared already if they need to swap classes in/out. Whilst some of those druids were undergeared, they weren't as undergeared as people think. That's how they got World First H LK, they did the attempts on their alt run first, so even if they ran out of attempts, they could more or less one shot them on their main run and save attempts for LK
Ah yes I remember our guilds attempt at this boss with zero kitties in the main group. We saw this video and realized we probably were beating our head against a brick wall for no reason.
@dallowow from the druid lappe? I thoguht grid was a healing addon, I was just talking about the unit frame where all his health and resource bar shows at. It shows both the health and the % and that could be really helpful if I had that >_
@DanishGameplays did YOU know that said move worked with ALL dot based moves? Priests Pain, Warlocks CoD, etc. At the time druid Rip did the most damage of all dots as well as ticked the fastest. It wasn't a feral druid fail. It was a fail on the coding of the buff you got from Nefarion which increased the damage of your NEXT MOVE USED exponentialy. This also applied to dots which ticked based on your damage when applied.
Stacking buff you can get on Heroic Nef via a MC that Nef does. It has been changed since this video and Im not sure if you'd see those numbers after the change, but they still got pretty high.
Im sure someones tryed to explain this before, but: the massive damage/crits is not a bug or cheating of any type, this encounter gives players a buff that increases the damage of their next one move they use. Feral druids happen to have the most damaging 'move' (rip, so they stacked them. Any move on any class would have scaled in the same way, its just rip>all for one move damage. - rip is a dot btw
also the feral druids white hits are only critting for 2.4k pre the buff and bleeds are only ticking for 9k. I wasn't trying to start a arguement just pointing out the facts.
@Comicking45 There was a little exploit for Ferals, they had the highest damage ability when you got MC'd (Rip). Thats why so many druids were brought because they did Really high DPS. If i remeber correctly some still had full blues because they were alts.
Is there a list somewhere of "Hunter - Devai" addons? I'm particularly interested in the one where normally in game when u hit v, it brings up nameplates, but on his, it shows exact HP + %...on a neat bar over their heads. Anyone know this addon?
@Bigshotchunk117 yes, the hunter is BM & here are some tips to be a BM Raider: Keep Serpent Sting up & pop Arcane shot after every since Cobra Shot, unless u have Kill Command, Focus Fire (3 Stacks of pets "Frenzy", or Bestial Wrath ready to use... That should take u down in focus, so pop Fevor as a CD in dps-burn phases, to gain a Kill Command or Bestial Wrath. Focus Fire takes no focus & use it every time ur current Focus Fire buff wears off:) Idk if u wanted to know a rotation, but screw it
Not sure about Deathwing, but the voice of Nef and Rag are both Chris Metzen, he does a shitload of voices in WoW, also Thrall and also in some of their other games, he's also the terrain battlecruiser admiral.
@Reeachey It´s a bug which was live at the beginning of cataclysm: in heroicmode u´ll get mindcontrolled by nef and u could increase your damage, the buff stacks with the feral dots and will damage at this high rate even if the buff is faded, when paragon did theyr kill they used as much ferals as they could just to stack this dots and well u see this damn big crits :D
One of the very few bosses that was actually better scripted on private servers than on retail. On Atlantiss, there was no such bullshit as feral stacking for example.

And the Dominion hotfix you are referring to involves it not workign with ANY dot effect, since, if you really knew what you were talking about you'd know that guilds also used warlocks to cheese the Dominion buff. As in regards to druids doing 60k, it was a necessary effect since the whole fight revolved around the dps boost dominion gave you. I guess you also find the dps tanks do on Alysrazor wrong as well.

@DanishGameplays An exploit is categorized as using something in a way not intended. Using a mechanic is taking a move and using it the it was (at the time) intended. They fought Nef, and likely noticed recount having a lock or spriest having massive damage based off of a dot based move after Dominion. After that, it was only logical to use the class that possessed the most powerful dot at the time, aka druids.
@TheReficul Actually it was working as intended, they just overlooked the scaling of it when it came to certain abilities. They didn't mean for it to be quite that much, which is why there are multiple abilities that it doesn't work with, like deep freeze and bane of doom.
@Weltzeren it was lk 25 non hc. also a gm watched ensidias attempt to kill the lich king and stepped in afterwards. how could ensidia know, it was an exploit? half of the raid was engineer at this time because this profession was so overpowered. Kungen said in his blog, in some tries, the platform disappeared, in some tries it didn't and they didn't knew how to get the plattform rebuild. so it was the gms fault.

@xTKGamerx In Nefarian HC there is a mechanic that empowers the next ability you use, but it was bugged for DoTs, meaning that it afflicted the whole DoT duration so your 10k Per 3 sec dot turned into like 100k per 3 sec. and Rip(Feral druid ability) is the strongest DoT in the game.
They didnt have any sponsors in the beginning, they were just like any normal guild that we havent heard of before. Although ive heard of Diamondtear, he was on my first realm ever in the top guild in there. Luckily hes from Finland too! never knew....
i LOVE watching fights like this.. the ending is so awesome.. Nef is picking people off with a sliver of health left and only 4 people live. it's these kind of fights where you complete it with the skin on your teeth thats most rewarding. Great job Paragon.

The use of like that many feral druids is not an exploit, it is EXTREMELY clever use of the fights mechanics.

That hunter in every video always does some kind of pro disengage. I think its safe to say he has it down pretty well xD

There was a fault in the game code for Nefarian where druids did extra dps or something, it was patched right after the world first kill by Paragon.
